She'd just come in from her lunch when the receptionist asked for expertise. Casey showed me a few options and explained some of the benefits, and I also purchased some shampoo and conditioner. I haven't used R+Co before, but I like it. There's plenty of parking here. The salon is small and seemed calm and quiet. If I lived in Eugene I'd make an appointment here. read more

Nicest people ever but when an eleven minute haircut costs me $98 dollars, I can't afford it

Having just recently moved to Eugene, I found myself with too long of bangs and no leads on a good hair stylist. So, I did what any other person with bangs in their eyes and a little audacity would do, which was pull out the sharpest scissors I could find and attempt to trim them myself. I'm sure you can guess how that turned out. Panicked and embarrassed, I took to Yelp to hunt down a stylist who could hopefully fix my poor, poor mutilated hair. Because Willow Hair has great reviews, I decided to give them a call and beg for their help. A sweet woman named Helen answered the phone and assured me that people trim their bangs all the time and she'd be able to set me up with someone who could help. That someone was Gale, who, with her expert touch and bright smile, saved me from myself. Not only did she fix my bangs, she also went above and beyond by re-shaping some of the layers in my hair and giving me tips on how to trim my own bangs in the future if I ever got the urge. I think my hair cutting days are sufficiently behind me, but if I can't resist the temptation, I now know what to do! Willow Hair is by appointment only and they have their own parking lot. Stylists book up fast, but Savannah kindly rescheduled me within the week when I fell down the stairs two hours before my appointment and couldn't walk for a couple of days. No comment on that (facepalm), other than the ladies who work here treat you like a human and not just a name on their booking list. I already have my next appointment booked in a month and a half I look forward to seeing what Gale cooks up for me next time! read more

Sometimes, it's just better to leave it to the professionals. For the last few months I have taken my bang trimmings into my own hands, resulting in not very cute outcomes. I am very thankful for Amy for repairing the damage I have done and giving me a very flattering frame for my face. I have decided to be proactive and make my next bang trim appointment in advanced. I went several times and the young woman I saw just didn't know what she was doing. I kept thinking that once she became familiar with my hair she would improve. That never happened. I also got a very unfriendly vibe. Never rude I just felt like she decided she didn't like me because my hair wasn't cooperating. The fact was,nobody in the salad seemed like they were happy. I went to Gail Salvador for a cut and color after 20+ years of going to an amazing stylist in Portland. The drive up there after moving to Eugene a few years ago was getting to be tiring. I was anxious to try a new stylist, but Gail put me right at ease. She listened to my ideas about what direction I wanted to go with my greying hair and really helped me understand what would work best going forward. I'm not from Eugene and I have family that does my hair back home, so I was a little nervous about looking for a new place to get my haircut. I found Willow Hair here on Yelp and they're awesome! I'm so glad I found them. I saw Kelsey to get about two inches cut, as well as to have my face framing layers trimmed. When I booked the appointment with the owner, she made sure to tell me that Kelsey is newer to hair than some of the other stylists but that she thinks she does a great job. And I agree!! Kelsey gave me an amazing haircut! She was also very nice to talk to and gave me a super awesome shampoo. I was so relaxed I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep! She was also very good about communicating what she was doing the whole time. I'm very happy I found Kelsey and Willow Hair. I highly recommend They also took really good precautions for Covid. I wanted a French Bob and knew I needed to go somewhere nice. Crystal listened to every single thing I described, took the blurry photo I showed her and did exactly what I was hoping for. The owner was present and checked her work which felt very thorough. Also, my hair has never smelled more amazing. I read all the hair reviews online about Willow. I also read their website. The website said the color and cut would be $140-180. That's a lot but it's been awhile since I splurged. It cost me $325 for a mediocre color and cut. When I lived in LA I didn't pay as much for rubbish. Save your money. Find somewhere else. read more

$240. This was how much it cost for a cut and color with toner (yes, the toner was extra). This was/is a lot of money for me, so I'm sure you can understand my frustration when I realized my color was too yellow, prompting me to reach out within 7 days and try to figure out something with the salon to make it better. The owner called me once and texted once, but obviously gave up on me because here I am 3 weeks later and still disliking the yellow tone in my hair. I hesitated to write this negative review, but now I am fine with it because $240 is a lot of money, and people need to know that just because something is more expensive doesn't make it better. Everyone I've seen here does great work, but I come specifically for the talents of Aislynn. She is an amazing hair stylist! She has a great eye, & is super unique & talented. I'd recommend her or anyone else here if you need a place you can trust. I've had some bad experiences with hair stylists in the past, but Aislynn has inspired me to be more bold with my look. The salon itself is clean, spacious, comfortable & easy to find. The floor plan is simple, yet classy, with lots of natural light from the large windows in the front. Upon reading reviews I opted to have Kelsey do my hair at the end of April. I had about waist-length hair and wanted a decent trim with face-framing layers, and had specifically shown her the Rachel Green haircut. I had asked her to trim however much hair needed for it to not look dead. The initial length she cut was great, however she gave me all-around layers that are very blunt (I essentially have two different lengths of hair, the bottom/underneath section being about an inch or so longer than the top section). She also gave me face-framing layers, but I immediately noticed at home that they are much shorter than I'd asked (I can't put my hair up without large chunks falling out of a clip, even months later), and found that they were actually uneven, with one side being about 1/4-1/3 an inch shorter than the other (again, I'd noticed this the same day my hair was cut and styled, so it was the same part that I'd presented to Kelsey and the same part that she'd cut the layers with). I'd gone back and forth for months on whether or not to share this review, but again, months later I'm still disappointed. Kelsey is a very nice person and was unbelievably pleasant, so I really hate sharing a review like this, but I am counting down the days until the top layer is the length I want, so I can trim the bottom layer to the same length so it doesn't look like I have two different and very blunt lengths. The cost wasn't unreasonable, but since getting my hair done I've just been putting it in a low bun. read more

Having the same problem, I chose WILLOW because of the customer service reviews, and MEGAN handled my crazy colors. This is a hip, upscale little salon tucked away in the south end of town with very experienced stylists. While I have one stylist that I see, my work schedule has resulted in needing to cancel/reschedule and I have then had a cut/color by one of the other stylists who could fit me into their schedule sooner vs later on a couple occasions and it's been fine every time... for me this is the mark of a truly good salon in that I know I am going to be well taken care of and be happy with the results with any of the stylists on staff. Everyone is outgoing and friendly but professional and I've never seen clients kept waiting long, and my appointments have always been timely as well. It's a little thing, but there's plenty of parking here (a parking lot, in fact)- at a prior salon I went to, parking was an issue and I can remember winding up being a little stressed or rushing in, running late for my appointment and it was a drag to start what is a relaxing experience that way... There is no receptionist, so if you phone, odds are you'll need to leave a message for a call back, which can be irritating for some people I guess. I make my next appointments when I'm leaving and even when I've had to call to reschedule due to sudden work conflicts I've been called back in a reasonable timeframe, though. All in all my experience with Willow Hair is on par with the better salons in the big cities I've gone to in terms of the caliber of the stylists and I'm really pleased they're in Eugene. read more

What a great salon! The owner was delightful and gracious when she answered my last minute call. Couldn't get into any of the other Eugene salons I called a week in advance of my needs. They were busy or didn't return calls. By the time I called Willow only had a few days left to get my hair done before an event. Leigha was my stylist and absolutely lovely. I've been here twice now, and had really positive experiences both times! I saw Aislynn the first time, and she was amazing--not only did she give me a great cut and really listened to what I wanted, but she was also friendly, down-to-earth, and smart. This time my schedule only allowed me to see Sarah, but I was equally pleased with my experience with her--she also clearly knew her stuff, gave me a great haircut, and was relaxed and nice. There's zero attitude at Willow, and I've never felt pressured to buy products, additional services, or get a haircut I didn't want. (I tend to keep it pretty simple!) Both Aislynn and Sarah also genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and enjoy the salon, which really translated to a positive experience for me, too. I called several studios in Eugene, and willow was the only one to return my call. They set me up with an appointment with Megan, who was amazing. I told her what I wanted in terms of color and she worked hard to get there. All the while, we had great conversation. After a few weeks tho, the color had all washed out and I was feeling disappointed. I text Megan to let her know and she immediately told me to come back in, she wanted to make things right.
