I had a lovely experience at V Studio with Kelsey. She really listened to what I wanted and executed it beautifully. I have course hair and she dealt with it better than most. There was a lot done to my hair. Kelsey deep conditioned, cut, dyed, thinned out, and curled my hair. I'm definitely happy with the end result. I'll be back to her for more of my hair needs. I had a great experience with Angela B. She is very skilled and knows what she is doing. plus she really listens to what you want. I also wanted to point out that she is a people person and you can tell. If I'm in the mood to be quiet she picks up on it and I read a magazine. If I am super chatty she is really easy to talk to and happily chats back. Also, the studio is very clean, organized, and welcoming. I love it here! It is super cute inside, and when you walk in you are greeted by one of many of the friendly stylist who work there. They have a comfy waiting area for you while your waiting for your stylist. Mine happens to be Jenny Powell. She can do all kinds of up to date, and even the throw back styles. For instance while I was waiting these cool college boys were getting some mullets! Just like Joe Dirt! I have even seen her do pinks, and purples, and they are beautiful! Now for my hair I am picky and when I started going to her my hair was badly damaged pryor and I am glad to report it is now really long, and a pretty blond. I have been seeing her for almost 2 years and it's nice when I have my hair in a hat floating the river and someone thinks that I do hair because they like my hair. That tells me Jenny is doing her job right! I also want to say that when I am in getting my hair done I watch her co workers and the colors and cuts they do. I must say I really like what I see. I would recommend going here. They know their stuff, and are pretty up to date on the new color technique's and fads. read more

I started going gray in high school and over the past year, I have frequented my fair share of salons across the country and abroad. No one has been able to blend in highlights in such a way to disguise the grays quite like Jill. THE BEST CUT & COLOUR I have ever had.... And believe me, I've had a lot. I will not trust anyone else with my hair... So much so that I will fly back to Eugene just to get my hair done. She's absolutely amazing. Great experience. The salon is clean, gorgeous, no funky smells that often linger in other salons from the products they use. V Studio uses only the best products. This is evident on how your hair will feel when you leave the salon. Most important, V Studio is extremely affordable. For what I pay, I'd have to easily pay 3-5x as much at home in Laguna Beach. I don't live in Eugene but I come here a lot for work so after having a few bad salon experiences where I live, I decided to check out salons here. I noticed that V Studio had reasonable prices and a lot of great reviews so I booked an appointment with Maritza. The good reviews are all true and well-deserved; she is amazing! The last person to do my hair insisted that I need to do something fun while I'm still young enough (rude much?) so instead of giving me natural-looking blonde highlights all over as I prefer, she made me vaguely blonde in the back with a big yellow streak in front. She kept assuring me I'd learn to love it but I didn't. I explained this to Maritza and she knew just how to correct it. Not only that, but she truly listened to me and was committed to bringing my hair back to the way I like it. She fixed up my color and cut so now I'm really blonde again and it feels so soft and manageable! I had also brought in some pictures of what my hair looks like when I style it (big ringlet curls that eventually relax into looser curls) versus what I'd like it to look like (loose, beachy waves) and she took her time to teach me the technique to create the look I want (turns out, using a flat iron and a flick of the wrist works better than a big curling iron for that look). She was so fun and easy to talk to that it was like getting my hair done by an old friend! I am so happy with my experience! There were a couple other stylists at the adorable salon and they were sweeties too, plus their clients also left looking fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I had a haircut by Maritza and she did a phenomenal job. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she asked a couple, questions, and then completely exceeded my expectations. In the past, I've felt like what I want is somehow miscommunicated and I don't know how to correct it. But Maritza was completely on the same page. I love the final product. This was my first time here and I was very happy with the service all-around. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxed and is very nicely decorated. I've never been to a salon where I was offered drinks or snacks - a very nice touch that adds to the ambience. And Maritza was absolutely a delight to work with - very sweet and relatable, not overly chatty, and really made me feel valued as a customer. Maritza deserves every great review she has here! She's truly phenomenal. I've had some really outstanding and nationally recognized stylists do my hair and also have had some bad experiences, therefore, I'm pretty picky about how my hair is done. I must admit, my daughters needed a haircut and I sent them in to be the test subjects as we just moved here and I didn't have a stylist here yet. I randomly decided on Maritza based on the open availability online and I'm so glad I landed on her! She blew me away with their hair. It was my step-daughter's first professional haircut and Maritza was really pulled out all of the stops for her. My five year old loved Maritza and was so thrilled with the outcome. When we left, I booked my appointment with her for the following week. I arrived for my appointment (kid free this time) 15 minutes early and she was just finishing up her client before me. Instead of taking a break like so many stylists would do until my appointment time, she immediately offered me some wine and sat me down right away. Her work ethic and great attitude is unparalleled. She listened to what I was looking for and I firmly believe in allowing the stylist to have some room for creativity and interpretation. I give them the outline and I generally expect them to color in the picture, so to speak. They're the professionals, not me. She did just that - and more. She gave me the exact haircut I didn't even realize I wanted. She talked me through what she was doing, and why, and then how she was styling my hair and how I could do it at home. She has a beautiful soul and really gives you a special experience with just how kind and caring she is. Maritza really cares about you, your hair, and your overall experience and gives ALL of her attention to you and your hair during your appointment time. I messaged her a few hours after my appointment to let her know how much I loved it and she sent me back the kindest, warmest, and most genuine response that further substantiated my opinion of her. I'm telling everyone about her because I genuinely believe everyone should be able to have such a lovely person taking care of their hair. If you're on the fence about finding a new salon and are reading this, please immediately decide to go see Maritza. You won't regret it, she does fantastic work. I have been, as well as my family been long time clients of Jenny who is now at V Studio. Having moved all around the country, including high brow places like LA, I am 100% confident that Jenny can pull off any look, any color you could want. She also will give it to you straight when what you want may not suit you which is EXACTLY what every colorist and stylist should do for their clients, no matter how new or old. Maritza is hands-down the best stylist I have ever had (and I feel a little bit guilty about saying that)! I moved from Australia to the US last year and had been apprehensive about finding a hairdresser here as I had been going to the same stylist for 3 years prior to moving. I picked V Studio due to the reviews online and selected Maritza initially due to availability... and boy am I glad I found her. She perfectly coloured my hair and hand-painted highlights that perfectly complemented the colour and finished by giving me the best "minimal" trim (sometimes hairdressers get a bit scissor happy - even when you ask for a tiny trim) I've had. In the first minute of meeting her you can tell her cheerful, caring personality is genuine. I will be coming back to her as long as we are both living in Eugene! read more

I booked an appointment online hoping I would get someone who would actually understand what I want when it came to cutting & styling my hair since I haven't had the best luck since I moved to Eugene. I got Maritza & she was absolutely wonderful!! She took the time to talk with me about what I wanted & gave me advice on volumizing my hair (since I have such thin fine pencil straight hair) & other things that would help me with my hair. She took her time to make sure everything looked great & she was so nice! The only thing that was a little concerning was the price (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) but it was well worth it!
