I've loved trusting my hair to Katherine, and am sad that Lotus is closed, but so glad that she is still performing her art at Strand Studio. read more

I've been going here for almost 6 years now and no words can describe how wonderful it is! Renee is the one that has always done my hair but everyone who works there treats you like their very own client. I've seen many people come in from a bad day discouraged and stressed but leave refreshed and happy after a simple talk to any of the hair dressers (specific shout out to Tully). There's something about the place that's very special - and it truly is the workers. The facility is clean, ventilated pretty well, and cozy! Onto raving about Renee - I can guarantee you that you will not find a more kind hearted, detail oriented, down to earth and attentive hair dresser in Eugene. She really tries to learn your hair history and discover exactly what you want (cut or color). She always explains her process so there's no question whilst creating the most welcoming and comfortable environment! She understands the color wheel and balance of hair dye better than any dresser I've ever had, and she has worked wonder with my difficult Asian hair. She is a miracle worker and I highly recommend her! read more

I found Katherine, the owner, years and years ago when she worked at a salon that was located under my law firm office downtown. I had a very unfortunate haircut that needed help, pronto. She's been my stylist for almost a decade now. Katherine gives great cuts, and she is amazing with color. Crap, I just gave myself away to all of Yelp. She knows that I have a both busy and lazy, so she always keeps in mind exactly how the color and cut will grow out - it's usually a graceful transition between appointments. Her salon is cute and tastefully decorated. No blaring music or rows of gossiping gals. Limited but ample off street parking. She uses eco friendly but effective products read more

Lisa Ann is not only a cool lady, but she does amazing work. I had a lot of sex because my GF got her hair done here. Can't think of a better comment so.... read more

Ok, I was just visiting the US again and was in Eugene and I needed help for my summer damaged hair. I decided to call up Renee because I knew she could make my hair beautiful again. She developed her own conditioning 'cocktail' and applied that to my dry hair. Then she did another beautiful color application. I'm not sure what line she uses for color but it makes my hair so moisturized and shiny. It's much nicer than what I'm used to in Amsterdam. I also really enjoy talking to Renee. She's very sweet. She sold me a chia seed leave-in conditioner that I've been using the past several weeks since I got home to Amsterdam and it's perfect for the humid climate here. My hair looks beautiful since I visited Renee. if I lived in Eugene, she'd be my regular stylist! She even let me bring my dog Mirabelle to the salon, just like I do in Amsterdam. I highly recommend her! read more

Love Lotus Hair Design. Crazy damn place that makes it fun to visit and have your hair done the way you want! Great place to also experiment...affordable, fun, hair done right! read more

Called to make an appointment and they don't make them?! (Rhetorical question) You contact the individual stylist. What's the point? I'm sure their work is wonderful, but that conversation on the phone didn't seem very welcoming or professional. Great reviews won't get people in the door if you can't make appointments. I called the number listed. read more

Located on the backside of a laundry mat & in an alley, Lotus looks a little ghetto from the outside, but the inside is comfortable & super cute! A small place (only a few chairs), but I was able to schedule an appointment with Tully quickly (even despite it being graduation week). I paid $40 for a wash, cut, & style plus some great conversation. Tully was awesome! I will definitely be back to see him again. My only complaint: they don't take cards. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating. read more

I went to Katherine and she was amazing! She set a whole day aside for me to make sure she had enough time to do my hair and I love how it turned out. She, along with the other hair stylists were awesome! Definitely recommend read more

Just got my haircut by Nikki at Lotus and she did a fantastic job! A lot of stylist rush through a men's haircut, but not Nikki. She really took her time and made sure she did a good job. I'd definitely recommend Nikki if you're a guy and looking for a great haircut. Nikki is no longer working at Lotus. She now works at Just Hair. Same great haircut though! read more

I had an amazing time with Nikki at Lotus. This place is tucked away behind a laundry mat but when you step inside it's like being in a mini day spa! Nikki listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, talked to me about how I usually style it and then talked me through what she thought would look good....and IT DID!!! Her deep conditioning treatment has my hair feeling healthy and soft even now (five days later)! It was so fun talking with her and I felt completely comfortable the whole time. Nikki was also great about getting me out on time, I usually get stuck in salons talking away but I mentioned I needed to be gone by a certain time and she had me out and looking great!! I highly recommend Nikki and Lotus Hair Design! The atmosphere, prices, professionalism, comfort are all great! Five stars for LOTUS!! read more

Tully has been cutting my hair for over 7 years. I've gone from super short to chin length to long. He has always created a style that is easy for me to keep up. The conversation is wonderful & I always feel cared for. Highly recommend Lotus! read more

Lotus is a great little salon at a convenient location, especially to students. Frances has been doing my hair (color, cut and extensions) for years and she is the best! It's not often you find a stylist that can constantly upkeep a blonde color without looking brassy or fake. The salon is always clean inside and they use top, high-end hair products. read more

My husband and I see Lisa Ann, she is wonderful! My husband found her first, actually, and I couldn't be happier for the recommendation! We moved from the east coast and we previously attended a Redken Salon which we both enjoyed. I am so thankful that we found Lisa Ann, great stylists are hard to find! read more

Best. Hair. Salon. Ever. Lotus is hip, trendy, and just what Eugene needs. The stylists all are upbeat. I personally go to Holly, and she is the best in the business. She is amazing with all color, but blonds especially. I've been going to her for about 4 years, and I not travel from California to come and see her. She has an exceptional knack for hair, and really listens and understands what clients are looking for. She is truly an artist and she will do amazing things with your hair. Cute, quaint place. Francis is a natural when it comes to hair color! She gives you what you want and is especially fantastic at brightening up blonde hair. She's also hilarious and very personable! read more

Lotus Hair Design gets five stars for both quality of work as well as ambiance. I had my hair done by Renee, and she did the best job on my hair EVER, including my many years getting my hair done by fancy salons in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, the prices are reasonable and the salon is very clean and attractive. The mellow music sound track is also a plus. I highly recommend this salon! read more

I've been going to Katherine since I moved to the Eugene area a little over a year ago. She was recommended to me by a coworker, and I am forever thankful for that rec! Before going to Katherine, I had gotten into the bad habit of keeping my 'summer' blonde year round, which was so damaging to my hair. I was starting to notice the processing had really taken its toll, and I decided I wanted to transition back towards my natural, darker blonde hair color. Katherine did an AMAZING job. Not only is she an excellent listener, she uses her own experience and comes up with a gameplan on the best way to achieve the look I want with minimizing and even reversing the damage of years of highlights and bleach. I just turned 30 and didn't want my hair to age before its time. I should also mention she is incredibly fun and sweet! She took on the challenge of my hair but somehow made it seem fun and worry-free! Katherine brought my hair color back to a natural-looking sun-kissed blonde, and restored my hair to its former glory days of my early twenties. She's also very accommodating when it comes to scheduling clients. As a blonde, I'm normally a little timid when going to a new stylist as b/c bad color-jobs on blondes tend to stand out more (in my opinion!) So if anyone reading this shares the same view, or is looking for someone to help 'up their hair game', Katherine is the best!! read more

Nikki cut my hair and it is probably the first hair cut in years that I walked out loving. She was super fun, super personable, and really knows what she is doing. I had a lot of fun talking with her, and I will definitely be going back to her. I loved the warm atmosphere of Lotus, and all of the friendly personalities. Nikki books up fast, so call her as soon as you can! The only complaint I would have is that they don't take cards. I didn't have enough cash to give her a good tip, which I felt really terrible about. But definitely try out Lotus Hair Design...they are great! read more

I've been seeing Katherine for over a year now and I love her haircuts and color. She's a true artist who takes her time to sync with my hair and vibe. The salon is low-key, quirky, and very friendly. Most importantly, I walk out knowing I have a great cut that will grow in gracefully. read more
