Awful haircut. I asked Maddie to give me a few layers to add shape to my long curly hair and she ended up using thinning shears! I didn't realize it, but I couldn't understand why my curls looked so awful and lost their shape after the cut. I ended up going to someone to have my cut corrected and they could tell she used thinning shears. I EXTREMELY upset! My hair DIDN'T need thinning! I already have thinning hair! I am so impressed by this Studio for many reasons. I was really impressed by my stylist Rosie. She is very approachable and easy to talk to, in addition she has a plethora of experience and expertise with hair. I generally knew where I wanted to go- but didn't know how to get there- and she helped me come up with a plan for my hair cut and future direction. Additionally, she executed my hair color flawlessly! She did exactly what I wanted. I have been used to having things done not exactly as I wanted, or talked into a less-assertive- hair color over the years with previous stylists I have seen. So, it was so nice and refreshing to be listened to and gotten exactly what I wanted done. I also was really impressed by the whole vibe of the studio, it had historic characteristics and a really good style overall. But, it did not feel pretentious like some salons and studios tend to feel. I felt comfortable and accepted as is, when I walked in the door so that was a great feeling. And, I just loved hanging out in there, it was a really good ambiance. I've been going to BASH HAIR STUDIO for quite some time now & Maddie is my stylist AND colorist. They do great work, are always on time, & fairly priced. I have VERY challenging hair (thinning, gray, limp) yet Maddie always does a good job on my crummy hair! There are other stylists, too, but I started w. While the owner refunded the cost of the cut, she stated this was done her most experienced stylist . This is maybe the worst cut I've ever had. Not to mention, this is nowhere near what we discussed or the image I showed her. Also there's only an image of the right back of my hair, the left side is different. The location is superb, the staff is friendly, but this is where my positive review is ending. First time I went, I wanted to change from a darker color to a blonde color, which was achieved, but not exactly the hue that I wanted, I let it go, it takes a person to know your hair and appreciate it. I went for a second time in six weeks and I brought a picture of the blonde color I used to wear and asked for that color. The stylist said that she would try to re-create it, but turned up with the same color as the first time .Again, I let it go, the stylist was young, and I was hoping that she was learning about my hair, I went the third time and asked to get to the blonde that I wanted with the warmer tones, I ended up with something between gray and light blue Not platinum, ugly color, this time I asked for a little trim, and the person, knew little about how to handle short hair .despite the ugly color nobody apologized, suggested that I come back in few days for correction and toning, but I decided to not do that, and instead look for another colorist more experienced . Talking about covid regulations that most salons have to follow because they get in trouble if not. Yes the small room is clean and nice....But for the tiny space you are in,there is no space for everyone to be 6ft apart. U have 4 departments inside using 4 stylist and there there 4 clients during the same time, plus the cashier.Im pretty sure that breaks violations according to the state covid regulations..yes u keep it clean that is awsome.. being a salon through this covid 19 near the Eugene area that seems greedy in telling clients when they come In to go wash there hands before sitting. Which is understandable because the covid regulations require it,but charging them a $5 fee for washing there hands....over pricing clients because stylist want to use more product then they should just to charge more for the services...
