Personal and professional, discussed what I was looking for and I'm looking forward to working with her on Thursday

I made an very important hair appointment with this salon. The time was what they had 3:45 Sat. I had confirmed this 2x via text, including night before. 2 hrs before my appt. Sarah called and ran out of time. Told her this was important and took a lot of bravery from me. She said she call back. I was very willing to come in even later, or after 5:30 when I get back into town from work during the week. She never called back. After an hour, I finally called back. She didnt even talk to me. Said she had no time to cut my hair at the time they gave me, today at all!! After that I was willing to come next Sat. but before noon. My whole day was centered around this appt today and I didnt want to waste another whole Sat waiting! They could not accommodate me. This is unprofessional at best. It is not my fault she does not manage her time better. I understand emergencies come up, but that was never the explanation. She told me " her day got ahead of her" She never called back, left me hanging to only have me call back and was un-willing to see me later, if she was running late. read more

I spent $222 plus tip for a haircut that is not what I asked for, and a hair color that was not at all like the photos I showed her. I had finally grown my natural hair out, and now I have to start over. Worse, the color she put in is turning yellow despite my using a blue shampoo. I am really disappointed. read more

The salon is adorable and in a grreat location. I did not have a good experience. Kelley is adorable and very nice. She had a strong cigarette smell that took me back, but if the blow dry was decent I could get over that. I know artists have their own way of showing talent but customer and their wants are also important. She did not want to listen and on top of that she does not know how to do a basic/good blow out, at least on me and im pretty simple. I can hold a blow dryer and brush, i pay to have someone work that brush otherwise i would do it. I had to re dry next day when usually an average blow lasts me 2 to 3 days. Not sure about her cuts and color, hopefully those are her speciality. Shes young and adorable hopefully she will learn and listen. Probably other stylists that do a great blow outs there. Money wasted for me:( read more

I went to Just Hair yesterday, for a little trim and waxing upper lip and brows. The hair cut was good, but the upper brow waxing was done bad. Thank god it will grow back, in the meantime I'll have to pencil some in. I spoke to the manager, she said I booked and canceled prior to this visit. I said yes, I am busy with my own business. What's that got to do with a messed up waxing, she said she would credit me. I have a feeling that is not going to happen, Stephanie was the person who did the bad waxing. I got Trumped, because I didn't follow through with my first appointment. Be very wary, I will never give them my business again. I feel that I tipped her well! For someone who did a terrible waxing, I understand about business. You do not give poor service, just because they cancelled a prior appointment. read more

I had a great experience here. Just Hair was able to fit me in at the last minute, day-of. My haircut came out nicely - I felt very listened to by Lizz, the stylist. She cut it to the length that I wanted and gave me layers at where I thought I wanted them. A few days later, I realized that the layers I had requested were too long. I called up and talked to someone at Just Hair, and they made me an appointment for the next day to get re-styled. When I went back, Lizz was able to work with me again until I was happy, at no additional cost. I'm really pleased and I'll be back. Also, they had lots of parking! read more

I was here two weeks ago to get a balayage. Came in with pictures of how I wanted it to look and what shade of blonde I wanted. What I got was really thick highlights in an orange brown that I hated and was charged almost $300 dollars for something that was so far from what I asked for. So, I went in to get it fixed. She was able to blend the highlights more but it's still very uneven and now there's different colors everywhere, and the top of my head still looks orange and I have a lot of areas where you can still see my dark hair. I really wanted to like them but it's the second time they fail me. Never coming back here again. read more

Came to Liz as a new client for highlights. She was very responsive and really listened to what I wanted. She took her time to really assess my hair and going over color options before starting, and gave me (very fair) price. She was detail-oriented throughout the process, very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The end result was amazing. Was able to achieve the ash blonde I wanted, wc is not easy with Level 2 dark hair. Other stylists in the past turn it into a more caramel/reddish blonde which I hate. On top of all that she was very very very affordable. read more

I received a haircut prior to going on vacation. The stylist was inexperienced. She washed my hair, cut my hair and proceeded to blow dry it. She kept getting the round brush tangled in my hair and then she'd pull it out. At one point she pulled hard enough that I felt the pain. I told her to stop tugging on my hair and that my hair was tangled. I let the manager know the hairdresser seemed inexperienced and the haircut was disastrous. The manager didn't look at my hair and said it was the hair dressers word against mine. She was rude and didn't offer to look at the cut or offer services to fix my hair. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. If you have NATURALLY CURLY HAIR, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. My CURLY HAIR was cut WET and WITH TENSION by Sarah, August 12th. She completely RUINED my hair. I have been growing it out for several years and went in for a trim. A week later I decided to straighten my hair, and it was a complete HACK job. It looks as if she cut it in the dark, blindfolded, with KIDS scissors. When I texted her that I was unhappy with my hair and sent her pictures, she did not ONCE apologize. She only told me that my complaints were invalid, and that it "looked fine to her." She also only kept talking about the fact I would not be getting my money back unless her "manager approved it." The next day, I went in to see ANOTHER stylist. She straightened my hair out and was ALSO in complete shock and awe to what she found to be a complete NIGHTMARE. She COULD NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO FIX IT, IT WAS THAT BAD. The ONLY thing I can do now is to let her complete HACK JOB grow out on its own!!!! The manager PROMPTLY gave me my money back. Needless to say I will not be returning here EVER again. If you are an ethnic woman outside of having PIN STRAIGHT HAIR--DO NOT GO HERE. Would give 0 stars if possible! Mind you ALL WOMEN WITH NATURAL CURLS ARE $200+ clients. Every. Single. Time. DO BETTER. I know that beauty school only teaches you less than one day on how to "style," curly hair. Maybe your stylists need to have PROPER training by an ETHNIC woman in handling NATURAL HAIR. read more

I will never be able to praise Haley enough for the best experience I have ever had getting my hair done. And I am old so, I have many, many years of dealing with my hair lol I have cried, not tears of joy, I have screamed, done a lot of swearing, wore a lot of hats, and there were a few times though, I liked my hair. Meeting Haley at my consultation, I knew it was going to be awesome. Of course, I wasn't going to do just a simple color. I had saved, begged, borrowed to be able to strut around with my beautiful hair, and after looking, and looking, I found the colors, and the cut, I was ready. Haley patiently listened, asked questions, took notes, and she knew exactly what I was going for. I knew Haley was going to be my hero!! When Haley finished, I started crying, happy, happy tears, and couldn't stop looking at myself, I looked beautiful.!!! I made an appointment with Sara D and as soon as she asked me what I was thinking of doing the tears started welling in my eyes. I didn't say much, only that I knew it needed to be cut alot and I didn't want my neck showing. She didn't draw any attention to my upset which was nice, she threw out suggestions and I reluctantly agreed. She did an amazing job and her soft and friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable. Kylie did a great job! She was pleasant and was quick. Finally all those nasty split ends from 1.5 years are gone. I couldn't even comb my hair it was so tangled. She cut the required amount and tossed in some layers. My hair looks so happy and healthy. Since it's Covid I had just a cut. No wash, no style no product just a dry cut with 15% tip was $54. Go HERE!! I had never been to a salon before and went for the first time like a month ago. I wanted to cut about 8in off my hair but was so nervous. I had Morgan as my stylist and WOW. She is so amazing. She listened to everything I said; my concerns, my ideas, my insp, etc. She encapsulated my hair and even recommended how to get around styling it as this would be the first time I had to significantly style my hair. We chatted the whole time and was genuinely the most kind person ever. Today she cut my boyfriends hair. He has always had really long hair and wanted to go a bit shorter and shaggy-er. He cut about 4in off. She again did an amazing job listening and adjusting to his wants in his hair. Morgan really is such a gem and so is the rest of the 'just hair crew'. Another amazing hair cut and color from an amazing stylist! Kylia has been cutting my hair and my daughter's hair for years at Just Hair. We followed her to Just Hair from Gervais where she was previously. My daughter is graduating from high school on Saturday and needed a cut and color and wanted something a little special for the occasion. Kylia did not disappoint. I have been growing my hair out for 4 years and was tired of it being all one length. So, I called Just Hair and I told them my hair was long and fine and that I wanted to add some layers. They told me that Elie Copeland would be doing my hair. I went in on Friday the 13th and paid $50 to have my hair cut and I left a $15 tip. I told her I wanted a trim and to add some bouncy layers. But, instead I went home with a duck tail, less hair, & choppy uneven layers. Before this, my hair went down past my bellybutton and was one straight across length, & now I have choppy layers to my chest with a 4 inch gap of a duck tail that goes into a deep V. It literally goes from choppy layers, to tail. Even my friend's hairstylist called it a tail when she saw it. The experience overall was pretty bad honestly, she first tried to send me away after cutting my hair straight across again to which I reminded her I wanted more bouncy type layers. So she started pulling my hair and honestly cutting so fast and it just did not seem good. I called on Sunday to talk to someone to fix it; Nico answered and was very friendly. I took his number and sent him pictures so he could show the manager and see where we would go from there. On Tuesday, not a manager called me, but Ellie. She said that both she and I apparently agreed with the length and how much she took off. WHICH I DID NOT. Then she proceeded to tell me that she could fix my hair. I said, I was not comfortable with that since I had already lost so many inches from the first time seeing her and overall she just wasn't very pleasant. She then told me I would have to make a separate appointment with someone else from Just Hair, because she was private and not employed by the salon. I told her, I needed to have a manager call me. Within an hour, Lauren (one of the managers) called me and told me I would not be getting my money back, since Elie was private and just rented a booth in the salon, but what we could do to move forward is have Lauren assess my hair and cut off more of my hair to get rid of the atrocious duck tail. This whole experience has just made me never want to go to a salon again. I appreciate management trying to fix the situation, but the fact that Ellie called me and proceeded to argue with me about what we discussed when I had clearly just wanted a trim and layers, has made me never want to do this again. read more

Went in with a very open mind about what colors I wanted. Started out with platinum blonde in mind but ended up being very open to a medium-dark gray/purple because of previous colors in my hair. I was made to sign a color contract stating that platinum would take multiple trips in to achieve and I understood but after going well past the quoted time and costs quoted I ended up with a horrid caramel/ orange color in my hair (orange was one of the nightmare colors I stated I did NOT want) with a little obvious green in the mix. The entire reason for my appt was to feel better about myself (mini mommy makeover) but I left in tears, spent every bit of money I saved for my hair, and I was told I'd have to make more trips in to correct it even more. I was mortified, immediately put it up in a bun and now even months later I'm stuck with exactly what I didn't want. read more

She listened to my ideas and gave her own during the consult, she made me really excited for the service even though I came in nervous. She did a beautiful, golden blonde balayage on me and took her time with everything. She made sure I liked it every step of the way and made great conversation!
