On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment for a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. The pictures of what my daughter showed Sena and agreed upon and her final result are following... read more

Service was awesome! My 10yr old was very nervous for her first big haircut ever but Lucy made her very comfortable and the environment is very calm and fun. Lucy was very good at cutting and styling her hair my daughter was very very happy with the results! read more

I showed up to my hair consult excited when Sonia called my name they said it in a sigh turned around before I could even stand up without greeting me and lead me to the back. I asked how they were in attempt to deescalate the tension they mumbled her answer without looking at me and mumbled to sit down and gestured to the chair. They still havent smiled or looked at me at all. Which is fine, im not owed that, but so far I've been warm and that energy from then has been the opposite. They ask me what I'm looking for and I pull the chunk of hair I wanted lightened and said I want this bleached. They just keep looking at me with no follow up question or anything for me to know what she does or doesn't understand so I explain more "or lightened" because i know bleaching is complex. They still just keeps staring at me. Again giving me nothing so I explain that I would want the chunk to be more even. Since I didn't have a comb, I didn't pull the exact dimensions of hair I wanted but that isn't something I've ever had to clarify with a stylist. Again, they're just staring at me blankly so unsure I ask, again I'm being warm and at this point still unsure if I've done something offensive or wrong. I asked quite timidly"does that not make sense" and they just said "No..." with no follow up questions. So I re explain myself but I have no idea what I said that didn't make sense or what part they weren't understanding. So I find myself saying the same thing. They sigh and ask if I have a reference photo and at this point I realize I'm being treated poorly or at least there is no attempt to make me feel welcome so I stop being warm, still kind though. I told her I didn't have a reference photo that this is just something I thought of which is true and am confused as this is something quiet simple. And they haven't asked anything to clarify what they didn't understand. I try to reiterate what I mean though and they sigh again and asks if I wanted it even. Which even if they missed where I said that earlier, this seems a redundant quest for a stylist to ask. The only time I could think of where this wouldn't be infantilizing is if the stylist was already being warm and asking if I wanted something "funky" and "uneven" but they weren't doing that. I said yes I would like it even and then they sighed again and asked where I usually parted my hair. I decided I wasn't being treated right and said never mind. Half expecting them to take a step back and realize they've been rude but what was they laughed when they said "Okay" so I got up and left. I picked this place because it looked like exactly the place I'd go to for a style like this and I Picked Sonia bc they looked like an ally and I wanted to be more queer presenting. I am so let down by the way I was treated and would like to let people know how they might get treated by booking here read more

I made an very important hair appointment with this salon. The time was what they had 3:45 Sat. I had confirmed this 2x via text, including night before. 2 hrs before my appt. Sarah called and ran out of time. Told her this was important and took a lot of bravery from me. She said she call back. I was very willing to come in even later, or after 5:30 when I get back into town from work during the week. She never called back. After an hour, I finally called back. She didnt even talk to me. Said she had no time to cut my hair at the time they gave me, today at all!! After that I was willing to come next Sat. but before noon. My whole day was centered around this appt today and I didnt want to waste another whole Sat waiting! They could not accommodate me. This is unprofessional at best. It is not my fault she does not manage her time better. I understand emergencies come up, but that was never the explanation. She told me " her day got ahead of her" She never called back, left me hanging to only have me call back and was un-willing to see me later, if she was running late. read more

I have had my hair done here several times over a year. At first I thought ok. Nice stylist. But the salon is lesson than beautiful. Very average. Needs an update. You don't feel welcome nor do you feel like you're having a good time. I want to relaxed and feel invited. A little pampered too. Reception is nice but very bad at return calls. My hair was always just okay. Way too much bleeding of color. I thought I'll give it one more try. Use a new stylist since the one I want never calls me back or is available. I HAD hair down to my low back (beautiful and i just needed 3 inches off). I asked for 3 inches off she took 6 or more. Where is my hair? I asked for highlights AND low lights. While Sonya was doing my hair I told her several times my hair takes to color really well. Don't you think we should take my hair out of the processing since it's been several hours?. I noticed she was only using bleach and not the low lights too. 6 hours later with some of my hair totally bleached white. NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. Very very little low lights and damaged hair. I look like an old lady. I went in to have her fix it. She never apologized. She argued with me about the white. I have no natural hair pigment, it's white. That's bleach. And around my face. The only thing she apologized for was the haircut. I am in front of people for a living. Now have white hair around my face?!. Even after more toner. What I am supposed to do now? Shave my head! $350 later?? It's damaged now so now l have to wait to have it fixed by a salon that cares and for it to grow back. Dude really? You have treat your locals better and level up. read more

I got just the right amount of blonde I wanted, fully grown out brown hair with a partial weave. Very nice

I spent $222 plus tip for a haircut that is not what I asked for, and a hair color that was not at all like the photos I showed her. I had finally grown my natural hair out, and now I have to start over. Worse, the color she put in is turning yellow despite my using a blue shampoo. I am really disappointed. read more

The salon is adorable and in a grreat location. I did not have a good experience. Kelley is adorable and very nice. She had a strong cigarette smell that took me back, but if the blow dry was decent I could get over that. I know artists have their own way of showing talent but customer and their wants are also important. She did not want to listen and on top of that she does not know how to do a basic/good blow out, at least on me and im pretty simple. I can hold a blow dryer and brush, i pay to have someone work that brush otherwise i would do it. I had to re dry next day when usually an average blow lasts me 2 to 3 days. Not sure about her cuts and color, hopefully those are her speciality. Shes young and adorable hopefully she will learn and listen. Probably other stylists that do a great blow outs there. Money wasted for me:( read more

I had a great experience here. Just Hair was able to fit me in at the last minute, day-of. My haircut came out nicely - I felt very listened to by Lizz, the stylist. She cut it to the length that I wanted and gave me layers at where I thought I wanted them. A few days later, I realized that the layers I had requested were too long. I called up and talked to someone at Just Hair, and they made me an appointment for the next day to get re-styled. When I went back, Lizz was able to work with me again until I was happy, at no additional cost. I'm really pleased and I'll be back. Also, they had lots of parking! read more

Came to Liz as a new client for highlights. She was very responsive and really listened to what I wanted. She took her time to really assess my hair and going over color options before starting, and gave me (very fair) price. She was detail-oriented throughout the process, very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The end result was amazing. Was able to achieve the ash blonde I wanted, wc is not easy with Level 2 dark hair. Other stylists in the past turn it into a more caramel/reddish blonde which I hate. On top of all that she was very very very affordable. read more

I went to Just Hair yesterday, for a little trim and waxing upper lip and brows. The hair cut was good, but the upper brow waxing was done bad. Thank god it will grow back, in the meantime I'll have to pencil some in. I spoke to the manager, she said I booked and canceled prior to this visit. I said yes, I am busy with my own business. What's that got to do with a messed up waxing, she said she would credit me. I have a feeling that is not going to happen, Stephanie was the person who did the bad waxing. I got Trumped, because I didn't follow through with my first appointment. Be very wary, I will never give them my business again. I feel that I tipped her well! For someone who did a terrible waxing, I understand about business. You do not give poor service, just because they cancelled a prior appointment. read more

I received a haircut prior to going on vacation. The stylist was inexperienced. She washed my hair, cut my hair and proceeded to blow dry it. She kept getting the round brush tangled in my hair and then she'd pull it out. At one point she pulled hard enough that I felt the pain. I told her to stop tugging on my hair and that my hair was tangled. I let the manager know the hairdresser seemed inexperienced and the haircut was disastrous. The manager didn't look at my hair and said it was the hair dressers word against mine. She was rude and didn't offer to look at the cut or offer services to fix my hair. See pic for the "quality" haircut I received. Don't go there unless you're familiar with the hairdressers work. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed. If you have NATURALLY CURLY HAIR, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. My CURLY HAIR was cut WET and WITH TENSION by Sarah, August 12th. She completely RUINED my hair. I have been growing it out for several years and went in for a trim. A week later I decided to straighten my hair, and it was a complete HACK job. It looks as if she cut it in the dark, blindfolded, with KIDS scissors. When I texted her that I was unhappy with my hair and sent her pictures, she did not ONCE apologize. She only told me that my complaints were invalid, and that it "looked fine to her." She also only kept talking about the fact I would not be getting my money back unless her "manager approved it." The next day, I went in to see ANOTHER stylist. She straightened my hair out and was ALSO in complete shock and awe to what she found to be a complete NIGHTMARE. She COULD NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO FIX IT, IT WAS THAT BAD. The ONLY thing I can do now is to let her complete HACK JOB grow out on its own!!!! The manager PROMPTLY gave me my money back. Needless to say I will not be returning here EVER again. If you are an ethnic woman outside of having PIN STRAIGHT HAIR--DO NOT GO HERE. Would give 0 stars if possible! Mind you ALL WOMEN WITH NATURAL CURLS ARE $200+ clients. Every. Single. Time. DO BETTER. I know that beauty school only teaches you less than one day on how to "style," curly hair. Maybe your stylists need to have PROPER training by an ETHNIC woman in handling NATURAL HAIR. read more

I've never had a hair stylist because I've always hated my hair and for good reasons. I made an appointment with Sara D and as soon as she asked me what I was thinking of doing the tears started welling in my eyes. I didn't say much, only that I knew it needed to be cut alot and I didn't want my neck showing. She didn't draw any attention to my upset which was nice, she threw out suggestions and I reluctantly agreed. She did an amazing job and her soft and friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable. I actually got compliments on my hair and that never happens. I think I found my person. read more

Kylie did a great job! She was pleasant and was quick. Finally all those nasty split ends from 1.5 years are gone. I couldn't even comb my hair it was so tangled. She cut the required amount and tossed in some layers. My hair looks so happy and healthy. Since it's Covid I had just a cut. No wash, no style no product just a dry cut with 15% tip was $54. All those Covid charges add up! Be kind and still tip; it's not your stylist's fault. read more

Go HERE!! I had never been to a salon before and went for the first time like a month ago. I wanted to cut about 8in off my hair but was so nervous. I had Morgan as my stylist and WOW. She is so amazing. She listened to everything I said; my concerns, my ideas, my insp, etc. She encapsulated my hair and even recommended how to get around styling it as this would be the first time I had to significantly style my hair. We chatted the whole time and was genuinely the most kind person ever. Today she cut my boyfriends hair. He has always had really long hair and wanted to go a bit shorter and shaggy-er. He cut about 4in off. She again did an amazing job listening and adjusting to his wants in his hair. Morgan really is such a gem and so is the rest of the 'just hair crew'.
