Visiting Eugene and turned to Yelp for a waxed suggestion and came across Urban Waxx and I wasn't disappointed. Amazing experience with friendly staff, clean facility, easy to find location in great area of Eugene. Even though my appointment was quick I was offered drinks and snacks always a nice perk. Things to know: The doors are locked and 20 minutes before your appointment you are given a door code to enter. Super easy. I showed up flustered with the parking situation, I recommend letting new clients know what your parking situation is. Multiple meters were broken along the block so it caused me to be late for my appointment. It was right on the heels of a very bad experience with European wax center. (I bought hundreds of dollars worth of a package deal and only got one appointment out of it when I showed up to my next appointment they had vacated valley river location. No call or return of $) Lilly at urban waxx completely turned it around. She was incredible and professional. She did not let my bad mood affect the appointment. She was very kind and understanding and I really appreciated that. Not to mention she did a great job! I plan to continue using urban wax for future appointments. read more

Called about an hour ago to see if they had any open appointments. Was told 11 or 11:15. I asked for the 11am. Parking is RIDICULOUS and I was one shopfront from their door when my phone rings. It is 11:02 and the girl says I've missed my appt and they can reschedule me for 3:45. I explained I am literally walking through the door and it is 11:02? ... "we can do 3:45". Yeah, no. I've waited 5-10 minutes to be seen there - not interested in the least. Services have always been... ok... pricey but you pay for convenience. Either they are taking themselves waaay too seriously or they're just cranking out waxings like a little factory if 2 minutes throws their day into chaos for an existing customer, with a credit card on file. I had a very bad experience trying to get in the store to my appointment. At the new location in Eugene there is no receptionist. The app you're using sent me a message with a link but the link told me I didn't have the right appointment time or something and wouldn't work. I called the phone number I have and is posted on the door and was in the message but it was answered by someone in Bend who wasn't able to help. I was standing out in the cold and rain for about 10 minutes trying to get in. Completely unacceptable! Once I got in, the waxing appointment and technician were fine. But I'm not likely to go through all that again unless I get some kind of compensation and reassurance that you have a better system in place. There are other places I can go for this service. read more
