She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught. I had been wanting to try getting my legs waxed for a very long time, but I was always too scared to try it. Urban Waxx had such great reviews that I was considering making my appointment there if I ever plucked up the courage to do it! XD I ended up having lunch with a friend next door to Urban Waxx, and took the plunge and decided to see what their schedule looked like for the next two weeks. They had an availability that day in 20 mins so I took it!! Everyone was very nice and they even gave me a mimosa while I waited for my appointment!!! My appointment was with Adriana and she was fabulous!! I was super nervous but she was very accommodating and was wonderful and fun to talk to!! The experience wasn't as scary as I thought it would be and I left feeling actually quite a bit more invincible than when I had arrived, haha! I enjoyed my visit so much that I called the next day to set up my 4-6 week follow-up appointment!!! :D If you've never done waxing before, Urban Waxx would be a great 1st time experience!! :) read more

I showed up flustered with the parking situation, I recommend letting new clients know what your parking situation is. Multiple meters were broken along the block so it caused me to be late for my appointment. It was right on the heels of a very bad experience with European wax center. (I bought hundreds of dollars worth of a package deal and only got one appointment out of it when I showed up to my next appointment they had vacated valley river location. No call or return of $) Lilly at urban waxx completely turned it around. She was incredible and professional. She did not let my bad mood affect the appointment. She was very kind and understanding and I really appreciated that. Not to mention she did a great job! I plan to continue using urban wax for future appointments. read more

I had my first ever male Brazilian yesterday. Kristin was the utmost professional, and in about 30 minutes she had me as smooth as a baby's behind. It took a fair bit of courage for me to strip down, climb up on a table, and expose my privates to a stranger who then gently touched, stretched, waxed, and pulled. I had seen videos of guys grimacing in pain. Such nonsense. Guys, there is NOTHING to fear. I have no stubble like I do when I shave, and no itching either. Do yourself a favor, do your wife or girlfriend a favor, and get yourself down to Urban Waxx. They rock. read more

I have been going to Urban Waxx for over a year and every time has been a great experience. I go to Julia and she is nice, cool, good conversation, and always does a perfect job. I also highly recommend the Serious Serum - I used to get ingrown hairs, but I was only using the Serum here and there. I did an experiment and I started using the Serum religiously as instructed and now it works like a charm. No more bumps! You just have to actually use it and don't forget! So worth it. read more

I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service and professionalism that I have received here. This was only my second visit to Urban Waxx and I can honestly say that I can't imagine going anywhere else. As a man it can be intimidating and a bit awkward going to a place like this. When I made my appointment, the only knowledge I had of waxing was what I had seen in the movie "The 40-year-old Virgin." Needless to say, I was somewhat worried. I should not have been; everybody at Urban Waxx made me feel comfortable and relaxed. (The glass of wine certainly didn't hurt, either.)
