Disgusted. RUINED MY SKIN. I went in as I always do for an eyebrow wax, I understand that waxing isn't as precise as threading and I'm okay with that. But I personally don't like threading. I asked the woman for a brow wax service and everything was going as usual until after waxing the skin she started to thread! You're clearly not supposed to do that. My skin started peeling off and bleeding because of how harsh she was being. She was supposed to use tweezers for left over hairs not thread them. I had this on my forehead for days until it healed. I'm disgusted and disappointed. I've been going to this place since I moved to Eugene. She clearly does not know what she is doing. I've found my Eugene brow lady, and this title does not come lightly! In visiting the in-laws for a month, the time came for me to get my monthly face threading. In SoCal, you could drive down the street and find a threading place pretty easily. Not so in Eugene, which is where Yelp came to the rescue! The shop is pretty spacious and clean, with comfortable seating in the waiting area. Sonja greeted me right away as she finished up another gal's brows, asking if I had called earlier to make an appointment. I was a walk-in, but I appreciated that she is mindful of her appointments. Some threaders are quite heavy handed in how they thread, almost like they'll cut you (which, I have been cut to bleeding before during threading), they're pressing down so hard. Not Sonja. She had a delicate way of working the thread, as painless as plucking up hairs could possibly be. She did a great job shaping my brows, and I appreciated that when her next appointment came in, she did not rush like many places will, but made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome. At the end, she massaged my face with an aloe gel that made me want to sleep under her care for forever. I will happily come back during future visits to Eugene! Recently had my brows done here. They were out of shape and by the time the technician was done, they looked good. Threading here was more painful than any other threading I've had before, maybe because she went extremely quickly? I did like that she trimmed up the shape and did a very soothing aloe massage after finishing the brows. This would have been a 4/5, but she held the string in her mouth. Maybe that's not unusual, but it's not sanitary. read more

Be careful! I have gone to this woman Sonja when she used to work at the original Eyebrow by Thread before starting her own competing shop. She did fine on my eyebrows then, perhaps because she was under the watchful eye of her employers, but when I came here the other day, Sonja made my eyebrow way too thin. To add insult to injury, she insisted that eyebrow powder would make my brows look better in an effort to cover up her mistake. I didn't even notice how skinny my eyebrow was until I got home and took off my makeup. That is bad service and terrible responsibility. If you mess up you need to own up to it. read more

Sonja is awesome! My friend turned me on to eyebrow treading and I have not waxed since. It is a little painful, but very quick and the cooling gel at the end is awesome. It's only 10 dollars for brows and 7 for the upper lip which is the only treading I've had done. I followed Sonja from her old location because she is really the best of the best. Very sweet, and easy to talk too. Also, I prefer Gateway because there is less people traffic and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Thanks, you rock! read more

If you want a half a**** eyebrow job done, come here! When I pointed out she had missed a spot, she said "I'm fast but I never miss a hair". The fact that I had to finish them myself at home for 15 minutes with a tweezer was not a good sign. I would not come back here. read more

I met Sonja in the Eugene location and she threaded my eyebrows there a couple of times... She is very experienced and did a wonderful job!! When I saw her with her own business at the Gateway mall I was very happy because I live in Springfield and she is much closer now... So I now go do my eye brows at her new location, since it is much closer, less waiting time, and she offers the best service!! She is very sweet, respectful and does a wonderful job!! I introduced my mother to threading with Sonja and she goes there all the time now too!! The last time I went to the Eugene location (after Sonja was gone) and someone else did my eyebrows, I remember she would pull the string slowly and it hurt a lot more! I thought at that moment that i wouldn't go back anymore cause I wasn't happy with the service, and wished Sonja was still working there... Then one day coming out of the Home Town Buffet at the Gateway Mall, I saw Sonja with her own threading booth!!! I was so happy she started her own business and even at a better price than in Eugene! (They used to charge $13 for eyebrows at the Valley River location) and ever since Sonja opened her location they decided to drop their prices to match Sonja's prices!!... Sonia is the best! She did an amazing job on my unruly brows and was very gentle, precise and fast. I was even treated to a little mini facial around my eyes with aloe Vera. Sonia asked me if I had sensitive skin and how I would like them shaped. She notified me that next time to notify her that I do have sensitive skin so that she can use a different thread. I was extremely upset when I didn't see her there and I had even asked about her twice and I got two different answers, the first time they just said she was gone ( and I just figured she was gone for the day) and then the second time they had said she had moved to California. I don't normally like to get my eyebrows done by anybody other than a specific specialist in Vancouver, but since I as travelling I decided to give this place a go. She is the sweetest lady that really cares about you as an individual and does amazing eyebrows. She even sold me this wonderful waterproof eyebrow powder that I now use on a daily basis.
