Disgusted. RUINED MY SKIN. I went in as I always do for an eyebrow wax, I understand that waxing isn't as precise as threading and I'm okay with that. But I personally don't like threading. I asked the woman for a brow wax service and everything was going as usual until after waxing the skin she started to thread! You're clearly not supposed to do that. My skin started peeling off and bleeding because of how harsh she was being. She was supposed to use tweezers for left over hairs not thread them. I had this on my forehead for days until it healed. I'm disgusted and disappointed. I've been going to this place since I moved to Eugene. She clearly does not know what she is doing. Recently had my brows done here. They were out of shape and by the time the technician was done, they looked good. Threading here was more painful than any other threading I've had before, maybe because she went extremely quickly? I did like that she trimmed up the shape and did a very soothing aloe massage after finishing the brows. This would have been a 4/5, but she held the string in her mouth. Maybe that's not unusual, but it's not sanitary. read more

I've found my Eugene brow lady, and this title does not come lightly! In visiting the in-laws for a month, the time came for me to get my monthly face threading. In SoCal, you could drive down the street and find a threading place pretty easily. Not so in Eugene, which is where Yelp came to the rescue! The shop is pretty spacious and clean, with comfortable seating in the waiting area. Sonja greeted me right away as she finished up another gal's brows, asking if I had called earlier to make an appointment. I was a walk-in, but I appreciated that she is mindful of her appointments. Some threaders are quite heavy handed in how they thread, almost like they'll cut you (which, I have been cut to bleeding before during threading), they're pressing down so hard. Not Sonja. She had a delicate way of working the thread, as painless as plucking up hairs could possibly be. She did a great job shaping my brows, and I appreciated that when her next appointment came in, she did not rush like many places will, but made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome. At the end, she massaged my face with an aloe gel that made me want to sleep under her care for forever. I will happily come back during future visits to Eugene! If you want a half a**** eyebrow job done, come here! When I pointed out she had missed a spot, she said "I'm fast but I never miss a hair". The fact that I had to finish them myself at home for 15 minutes with a tweezer was not a good sign. I would not come back here. read more

Be careful! I have gone to this woman Sonja when she used to work at the original Eyebrow by Thread before starting her own competing shop. She did fine on my eyebrows then, perhaps because she was under the watchful eye of her employers, but when I came here the other day, Sonja made my eyebrow way too thin. To add insult to injury, she insisted that eyebrow powder would make my brows look better in an effort to cover up her mistake. I didn't even notice how skinny my eyebrow was until I got home and took off my makeup. That is bad service and terrible responsibility. If you mess up you need to own up to it. read more

Sonia is the best! She did an amazing job on my unruly brows and was very gentle, precise and fast. I was even treated to a little mini facial around my eyes with aloe Vera. Sonia asked me if I had sensitive skin and how I would like them shaped. She notified me that next time to notify her that I do have sensitive skin so that she can use a different thread. If I could I would give this place no stars. I came in today after being nervous growing my eyebrows out for two years. I wanted them cleaned up, I told the lady (who I think was the manager/owner maybe) that I wanted them thick and to just clean them up around my brow. First of all she was not super friendly, and then she hands me the mirror and I am horrified to see my eyebrows thinner than they were two years ago. I then told her that they were too thin and that I wanted to keep them thick and she proceeded to argue with me about what I told her I wanted. I thought maybe she would give me a doscount for being so unhappy with how they look but nope. My sister and I left both very unhappy with how thin she got them and how she did not listen to either one of us about what we wanted. 10/10 would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Now I have to suffer another couple years with eyebrows I hate. read more
