I can't attest to the actual service, because I wasn't even able to make an appointment. I wasn't able to get through over the phone, so as their voicemail suggests, I texted them. I don't know who I was speaking to, but I have never had any salon be so rude. They were short, demanding, and honestly a little insulting. After reading the other reviews, I am now glad I didn't decide to give them a try. I understand salons have issues with people canceling or giving them the run around, but it seems like a really bad business practice to treat people that way before they even have a chance of becoming repeat customers. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a new service I've never used before. I did have a manicure once there and didn't realize that would make me a returning client for a new service. In the fine print it says new clients only. I would have not put such a low star but when contacting the business they were so rude and mean to me saying read the fine print, then told me it had been 11 months ago instead of a year I had been there too. As in this fine print Groupon it says you can purchase one a year, so I'm not sure how you can be a new client with that? I would be happy to wait another month to schedule, but she said again new clients only, I said I would want to review the business, so people don't make the same mistake with a Groupon. Any new service means you are a returning client even if you've never had that done. Purchasing one a year I guess means to just gift it to someone else then? Pretty simple to add I think. But she said I was threatening her if I was to make a review. Then she said I would never be allowed to even schedule anything there again not even just a regular appointment without a Groupon. I am completely shocked and out of money for the Groupon and I guess banned from using that business now....like I would ever feel safe going there. This was supposed to be a review about being careful buying a Groupon for them, but not be careful about going there at all, as I don't know what kind of person would treat a customer who has paid for a service, threatening me if I leave a review and banning from going there. I've never been more shocked in my life. So unprofessional, so rude, mean, condescending. I just wanted to try a new service and maybe be new returning client for that service. Maybe she just has a bad day? I've never been treated so poorly and made to feel so awful. I've never been banned from a business before either. Wow! Be careful if that's how they treat people, what do they do if you actually get to use a service there, what if there's a problem, and you try to speak up about it or try to get it resolved? read more

Never had a manicure before. Being a blue collar type guy its something I never thought about. Since I can't work anymore they way I once did, I thought getting a manicure would be nice. Salon Nevaeh is the place for me. Everyone there was friendly and my hands looked great. The next morning I looked at my fingernails and they were sorta dry and didn't look like I had a manicure at all. So I drove back over and spoke to the owner. She looked at my fingernails and suspected what happened, sat me down and went to work. My manicure looked great, lasted a long time as long as I took care of them. Have done a few projects on my own since then and will be making an appointment for a manicure AND a pedicure. Guys, no one wants to see your gnarly hands and feet. Make an appointment and get those nails looking proper. This is defiantly my spot! Note to reviewers. Please don't write a negative review until you've made an attempt to right a wrong. Small business owners want your business and will do whatever it takes, within reason, to get return appointments. Brazilians with Lindsey are cheap, but I think that's about the best thing you could say about the experience. The waxing room is tiny and hot; there is no ventilation of any kind. I also felt like she just didn't do a very good job. Many hairs were broken off rather than pulled out by the wax. She gave me a lecture about not waxing every six weeks. Hello! Not everyone can afford to or wants to do that. Like if you're not going to come every six weeks, then just don't come at all?? She was super condescending and kept calling me 'hon' even though I am older than her. Weird. I have had brazilians by many other aestheticians, and she was definitely my least favorite. I came here for a Brazilian Wax with Lindsey. I found out about it through a groupon and loved my experience. I will be going back. Also she has a student special going on at the moment and it is only $25. which is a DEAL! I usually end up trying to wax myself because it can be so expensive but now it seems much more affordable. Susan did a really great job on my shoulder-length choppy-type bob. And Susan is fun, funny & personable. I've had some cuts over the past year or so on this hair style and a couple of cuts haven't served me well... :) So I AM going back to see Susan because she totally LISTENED to exactly what I wanted, and she gave suggestions. She did as I asked and I'd say she's definitely a skilled stylist. (during the cut she stopped a couple of times to show me how it was looking and asked if I wanted any changes). AND she blew it dry into a simple, fun style rather than fluffing it up and making it look "not that great/YIKES what just happened" :) (I've had that happen several times so I appreciate she did a GREAT blow-dry and used excellent products so my hair was so silky soft and bouncy) Very much recommend! read more

Purchased a waxing through Groupon. Was very easy to make an appointment. The person then contacts you via text messaging to confirm and remind you of your appointment. I got a text about 30 min before scheduled appointment to just text when I arrived at the salon, which I did. After about 20 min of waiting I texted again asking how long of a wait. At 35 min of waiting I texted again that I was leaving. Never got a response. In the main salon, there was a stylist there asking if anyone had helped me yet, although she was the only one I could see In the salon, I said I had messaged my gal. Never heard any word after that. This may have been a Groupon special, but this is a poor way to run a business. She could have at least texted me she was running late. Fortunately Groupon was able to refund me my money! read more

I was a first-time waxing client with Melissa. She took me back right away. During the service, she went above and beyond to keep me comfortable and distracted while she worked. She told me exactly what I needed to do, and she explained what she was doing. I would give the salon itself a 0 star but because of the technician I gave it a 1. First time booking at this salon and I left very dissatisfied. As a small business owner myself...I wouldn't have book a first time client with an inexperienced technician, I would have preferred the best you got, that is if you want repeat businesses. After spending $80 I didn't get the service I initially came for. I wanted to have French tips for my pedicure and manicure but the technician I was booked with have no idea how to perform it, she tried but fail terribly. She was very nice and honest about it though, from the start she told me it's not her expertise that should have been my sign to walk out but I didn't. I ended up settling for plain gel polish, not the worst part. The worst part is when she file my cuticles so hard they were ripping. It's like going to the dentist but without the Novocain. The next day I noticed my picky and my thumb appeared to be infected. There's skin hanging everywhere. I'm never going back. read more

Interesting spot. Mostly filled with elderly white Women. I went for Melissa ( who only rents out a spot in the salon for her services). She was amazing, lively and knew what she was doing. I was disappointed with the receptionists attitude when I walked in. Working at a front desk myself, she was clearly not fit for customer service. Overall, Melissa: 10. Salon Navaeh: 5. First time customer and I am very pleased!! Salon is well-kept and plenty of parking. My stylist was Jody and she did an awesome job on my cut and my eyebrow wax. She was friendly and relaxed. My appointment was at 12:30 and I arrived a few minutes early and she was ready for me. I was out by 1:10 so she definitely got right down to business which I appreciate as I don't like to spend more time than necessary at the salon. Lindsey is a savior. I come to her for my Brazilian waxes and without her I don't know what I would do. In Portland I've paid as high as $90 for a Brazilian but with Lindsey I pay no more than $25 because of her student special and it is a blessing. I spent a good amount of time shopping around for waxes in Eugene and this is truly the best you will find. Lindsey has a $25 student discount for brazilians which is easily the best price in town. She's also incredibly fast and efficient. I've never felt uncomfortable or in an unusual amount of pain. After just two times there she could remember where I was going to school and we could casually chat which made me more comfortable (and usually I hate talking during stuff like this!) Worst waxing experience I never had! First of all it took me a few days to even make an appointment because no one answers the phone there, Melissa was my waxer and things got weird over a groupon, Melissa accused me of already using a groupon and when I told her over the phone that I hadn't even been waxed before let alone been waxed by her she continued to accuse me of using it before when I came to the appointment, and then on top of all that she burnt me (down there) was left with discolored skin straight up burns and it was very painful. Hubby wanted a spa pedicure for his 62 b day and of course I waited till Friday to schedule. Saw good reviews and contacted them via yelp. Prompt response and they were able to accommodate us! We were greeted by very friendly and competent staff- Randuen (?) And hubby had Melanie . We had a wonderful spa experience, and they made our scraggly, callused feet look great. They also provided a lovely glass of wine and there was relaxing music.everything was clean and spotless. Both were so friendly and gave amazing foot/ leg massages. I was skeptical because it was so cheap (im a student so a brazilian is just $25!) but it's really a great wax! She's super personable, professional and good at her job! She doesn't judge you or talk bad about other clients which a lot of waxers do. I have very tough and dark hair and she has no problem working with it like other waxers have in the past. You can text her, which I love because I'm always on the go. I dont go anywhere else since I started coming here, Lindsay is awesome hands down. I was looking at groupon & found a deal for this salon through Susan Cox; I didn't need the deep conditioning treatment so I booked a haircut online & went the next day. Susan is so nice, she asked me how I found out about her & the salon; I told her the story & she asked me if I bought the groupon deal, I told her no, & she honored the price for my appointment! I was so grateful & happy! She gave me a great haircut, did exactly what I wanted, & would even stop to make sure my hair was looking the way I wanted it to look. Plus she styled my hair super cute & it lasted for a long time (which is rare for me because I have fine, thin, straight hair that can't hold anything)! I definitely recommend this salon & Susan!!
