Beth is the absolute best, I'm so grateful I found her! It took me such a long time to find a stylist I genuinely loved and trusted, and once I sat in her chair, I knew I was home. I have thick hair, and no one else could ever get the color right, but Beth nailed it from the start. She takes her time, pays attention to every detail, and always keeps my hair healthy and beautiful. Every appointment with her feels like a mini retreat, relaxing, uplifting, and genuinely fun. RUN FROM BETH CLINE!! I wish I had known before that she's only been a stylist a couple years. Turns out the salon has received multiple complaints about her and she's also very unprofessional. I stupidly believed the positive reviews here and ignored the negative. See pics. It was supposed to be chocolate babylights. Instead I got orange chunky roots. In writing (see pic) Beth states it will take 3 hours to achieve goal photos. Then after the mess she made of my hair she changed her tune saying it would take multiple sessions. She then LIED AGAIN saying the owners and everyone in the salon heard our conversation. Nope! The owners have told me they did not see or hear anything. And, it's not like everyone in an entire salon is focused on our conversation with blowers, their own conversations, etc. I've had to pay over $600 to repair her mess. Beth is refusing to refund me the $250 I paid her. So I'm $900 into this, because of her. Two stylists from other salons have told me that what I wanted was achievable in one session, but the damage Beth did made the situation worse. Beth is refusing to take any responsibility, she "stands by her styling skills". Well look for yourself. Does this look like a style you'd want to have?? Save your money and hair from this person!! (I will say the owners of the salon have been understanding and supportive of my side in this case, but Beth is an independent stylist so they can't do anything). read more

First off, I really like this salon. Its decor is a cute boutique style, clean and comfortable. Parking was a breeze. Secondly, I am so grateful for my haircut. Beth was able to take the pictures I had of my last haircut and recreate it perfectly. It was one of those moments for me when I looked in the mirror and re-recognized myself. Yeah, that's me! That's what I'm supposed to look like! I left my appointment practically skipping, and the first thing I did was text my partner, "I got a good haircut!" Ruth is really wonderful. My friend turned me onto her, and she's a doll. I have thick dark hair that is pretty difficult to lift, but Ruth does a wonderful job with my highlights. She is also so funny and kind; you will enjoy chatting with her. Her prices are beyond fair, so remember to tip well. Most hairdressers would charge double what she charges. The only drawback is that you will not be out of the chair very quickly. It usually takes 3+ hours for her to do highlights and roots, but I do have long and very thick hair. read more

I think Beth is adorable and sweet but if just a blow out is any indication of her talent, I agree with another post....RUN. I get blowouts twice a week as shoulder issue, and of course some are better than others but this was like a 10 year old held a dryer and just brushed. I tried to say little things to get her to actually work the brush on my hair, but she was having none of it and its uncomfortable to tell someone they are doing a horrible blow out. My blowouts usually last 2 to 3 days, even not a great one, this one, after paying "Fifty" dollars i had to wash and dry myself and as bad as i am, it was wasy better. I get blow drys from Super Cuts to nice sslon s in big cities, by far the worst one here. Sorry Beth, you are sweet but you need to take the time to learn the very basics about blow drying, and not only will your paying blow out people appreciate it, but If u r good or decent with color snd cuts that will help make them shine. I had my first visit to Mia Bella today with Suanne. I saw on Yelp that's she's good with waves and curls, so I decided to make an appointment. I'm glad I did--she did a great job with my cut, especially considering that I didn't really have a style in mind. Suanne look at my hair texture and curl pattern, listened to my typical hair care routine, asked me my preferences, and turned it all into a cute A-line cut. She's a good conversationalist, too. Before I left, she doubled and triple checked that I was happy, and I was. My wash and cut was $45, which definitely was worth it. I'll be back for sure! [The shop also appeared to be taking good Covid precautions. I saw cutting stations get sterilized/wiped down, the door and windows were propped open, and everyone was masked. They also asked clients to wait outside until their stylist was ready to reduce the number of folks inside.] read more

I had a very unhappy experience at Mia Bello with Beth Cline. She did a color and cut. The color job resulted in a dark underlayer with ash stripes. I use the word "stripes" intentionally; my hair color resembled a zebra or perhaps a skunk. I felt the need to wear a hat when out in public. She created stripes rather than highlights. I reached out to Beth to let her know I was not happy with the result. Her response was a long, vitriolic message where she refused to correct the problem. I paid over $200 for this bad experience and had to find a person who could do a color correction. Luckily, my haircolor was corrected by a good hair stylist. I want to warn future customers that if you have Beth Cline do your hair, she does not stand by her work. In my case, the end result was so bad that it required another stylist to fix the problem. Save yourself the trauma of a really bad hairstyle and seek out a different stylist at a different salon. read more

Suanne did a fantastic job with my hair (fine, dense, wavy 2b/2c), taking it from a blunt cut to the cut shown in the other photos. She did a wet cut on my hair (which I prefer due to my looser curl pattern), but she did mention that she does dry cuts on tighter curl patterns. My hair has so much more movement due to the layers, and she worked some sort of magic on the back so that my cowlick doesn't interfere with my waves/curls forming. I would encourage anyone with wavy to curly hair to go to Suanne, she'll listen to you and your hair. read more

This salon needs to add a star to represent how truly expensive it is to services received. It would be prudent to ask the price for ALL services received BEFORE services commence. Reiterating exactly the process to be implemented i.e., wet cut, dry cut, picture to process explanation to achieve outcome by the hairdresser, etc. While my hairdresser was personable, she clearly did not care to hear what I said I desired. I have fine/thin shoulder length hair due to illness. It was not only told to Suanne, but it was visible. The services (dry cut which is a nightmare now its growing out, balayage which my hair in two weeks looked dirty with yellow streaks. I did not ask to look like a sick Peep), received did not even remotely come close to the over $350.00 charged me. While she did offer to fix the hair, I had a vote of no confidence. I am tired of "professionals" having no downside for their poor services - no accountability. I can only never let my feet pass the threshold of this establishment again, and have this review serve as a warning to others. read more

I adore this salon! I am very much about the aesthetics when it comes to salon's and I very much love the space at Mia Bella's. My stylist, Marie, was absolutely wonderful in accommodating an early morning appointment for an event I was attending that day. She came in at 8:30 to do my hair so that I could leave at 9:30 for my event. Marie asked me about my hair type, and what I was trying to achieve with my hair that day. She was incredibly patient with me and my sensitive head when it came to the wash station as my head is super ticklish when the water hits my scalp. It was also comforting to find a stylist who is very cautious with people's long hair. I myself have had terrible experiences with stylist who interpreted my request for a "trim" to mean lop off 5-6 inches. Marie assured me that she is very cautious about this, and for that put me at ease. This appointment was just a blow-out and style but I feel safe enough that I could come back for a trim. I lived in Portland for a stint, and still visit my stylist up there because she's been the only person I've been able to trust with my asian hair, so having this experience with Marie has definitely encouraged me to stay local when it comes to my hair. Wow- what a great experience! After moving here and not knowing where to go, I took a chance and looked online for a hairstylist. I lucked out finding this salon on Yelp... then absolutely hit the jackpot getting Sue Ann as my stylist (which those of us with crazy/naturally curly hair know is truly a jackpot!) Sue Ann was amazing- took time to discuss color ideas, listened to what I wanted and talked me through a new cut I hadn't considered... and even offered some sage life advice - I had some processing time-lol. This salon is adorable and although there were a few other clients there- all the safety protocols were followed to the tee. Sooo impressed. Love this joint! I cannot recommend this place enough! I called the day before to see if there was any chance I could go in the next day and I fully expected to be turned away, but the person who picked up was so kind! They got me an appointment right away. To be honest, when they told me my appointment was with Beth, I was worried. Just from looking at other reviews on here it was 50/50, and I personally don't like to try new hair stylists, but I badly needed a haircut so I went through with it. The place: so cute and clean! And Beth was amazing! When I told her what kind of haircut I wanted and showed her some inspo pics, she quickly understood the vibe I was going for. And also asked for clarification when she was unsure or I hadn't explained fully. It's like she would read my mind lol, when I would think maybe a little shorter, she'd proceed to cut it just the right length. Also made good conversation and overall a comfortable atmosphere. Haircut did seem a little pricy, but honestly I think that's probably because I do go to bad hair salons and don't pay much, so you do get what you pay for lol, if you're looking for a place to get a haircut, give this place a try! read more

i came here for my first real haircut in 4 years a few months ago. i was very nervous after growing my hair out and trimming it myself throughout the pandemic as i've never really had a good experience with other people cutting my hair. i was greeted at the door, offered a drink and to hang my coat on the coat hanger. i had my hair washed and trimmed and was so grateful to be treated with respect over my choice to just trim a little hair off the bottom even though the hairdresser could have chosen to cut way more. i wasn't ready for a style it as i am still going for length and this will be the place i come back to when i'm ready. this is a hair salon that will make you feel comfortable and respected in your decisions, and comes at a fair price, which is all i can ask for in a hairdresser. my hairdresser was heidi. read more

My long time hair stylist retired and moved to Florida well over a year ago. Really didn't know who/where to go for a hair cut and then couldn't go anywhere because of COVID. This spring I started searching stylists in the Eugene area to make an appointment. I was looking for a stylist who was knowledgeable in cutting curly/wavy hair. Out of all the ones I researched online, I picked Suanne Peters at Mia Bella Salon. She turned out to be an excellent choice. My first appointment was in June, where she cut my long, straggly hair into a stylish bob. My second appointment was today where she just refined the cut a bit shorter and into an A-line. I love it. Also, she gave the best head massage while washing my hair! Whether you are curly or straight haired, Suanne would be an excellent choice for a stylist. P.S. Great curly hair experience!!!! Beth Cline was my stylist today and she did amazing! I showed her my inspiration pictures and explained how in the past when I got a short haircut I looked like a trimmed hedge or a triangle (any curly girl will know what I'm talking about). My hair was mid back and I just couldn't handle taking care of it anymore so I wanted to chop it off to above the shoulders like I had previously. Beth uses great products and took very good care of my curls. I honestly wasn't crazy about the styling but I was short on time so I can't blame her very much for that, once I styled it myself at home it was amazing! My hair is super thick and has a varying curl pattern (2C, 3A, 3B mix) and Beth handled it like a champ!!! Will definitely be returning to Mia Bella salon. read more

If you read my other reviews you will see - once I finish writing it - that I had a horrendous experience at a salon in Grosse Pointe, MI that left a really bad taste in my mouth, and more than a little bit of "leeriness" towards trying out a new stylist. Thank goodness Jodi is not just a nice person, but a skilled stylist. She listened to my requests - and concerns - and delivered exactly what I asked for. Talking to her is easy and enjoyable, her fee was extremely reasonable and the salon itself was clean and conveniently located. If you value your hair then do not go to Mia Bella Salon on 11th St in Eugene. When I called as a new client the owner referred me to Suanne Peters. On my recent visit Suanne picked up the scissors and started cutting as I was trying to explain to her what I wanted for my hair. Despite my repeated pleas to NOT cut my hair short, she cut about 3 or more inches off of the back of my hair. What was left was maybe a inch! I have NEVER had short hair in my life and now, what's left doesn't even cover my neck! Suanne did this all the while telling me what a artist she is.....What a joke.
