It was the inept (maybe purposely) inability to take a payment or log into the 'system' to make a standard payment. When my card expired-there was no way to login. I repeated received threats of letters and texts and emails and no availability to pay except for a $8 to $20 fee by phone. Repeated calls to a 800 number won't get you to the store. They put in IT tickets and never resolved. Put a lien feee and charged excessive fees. I am a responsible funded business owner that has the ability to pay and have on autopay and they told me "drive to store to fix" when I was constantly on travel. Useless and likely this is a racket by design. Don't go here. Save yourself the trouble.

Robbery happened over 3 days in early March. Over $8,000. worth of my belongings. A precious set of 10 porcelain plate settings & all the mugs, bowls, serving dishes, etc. These dishes were very precious to me as my husband over 4 years had bought them for me as gifts. If anyone knows about this robbery or the dishes, I am offering a reward for info. The plates are aqua/turquoise and other items in set were cream with daisy, butterfly and tulip on them. 4 electric tools of my husband and some yard lights were also stolen. Thief was someone who had access and time to explore my unit and not even worry about someone seeing them or my showing up and catching them. Originally I'd retained the services of another mover based in Menifee who was going to charge me a flat fee of $900. After reading a review of Bald Eagle Movers and seeing that it was based in Fallbrook, I decided to call them since I prefer giving my $ to businesses in my local community. Bald Eagle Movers (a/k/a Bob) quoted me $600 so it was a no brainer to cancel the services of the 1st mover and hire Bob. According to Bob he's been in the moving business for 30+ yrs, knows all of Fallbrook including the area I was relocating to and the exact time it would take him to move me with one helper...3 hrs. They loaded up the casita I was leaving in record time...exactly as predicted. Cool. However, when we got to my new casita, he refused to drive the moving van up the steep driveway. It was all kinds of hassle and took over 7 hrs to unload my belongings. Why would someone so experienced bring a gigantic moving van to transport belongings from a 1 bedroom casita? Why would someone so experienced not know ahead of time (Google maps?) the steepness of the driveway and use a smaller van? Bob and Eric did work incredibly hard the entire 7 hrs it just shouldn't have taken that long. At the end of the 7 hrs Bob attempted to charge me $50 more per hour than originally quoted. Honestly I felt bullied trying discuss the situation including the fact that my couch and mattress both arrived filthy - he said they were "already dirty"...yes my couch is not perfect (I have a dog) but it wasn't filthy and the mattress was pristine. There is nothing that is more wrong than a business man who can't take responsibility for miscalculations and instead gaslights the customer. I agree with Rebecca S that Bob is sexist and gets very defensive and rude when he's not being appreciated or compensated they way he thinks he should be. I was watching as one of their employees dropped and broke our paper shredder that would not work after that. They also broke a leg off of my coffee table, scratched an antique dresser top the entire length of the dresser, broke the top off of a stool and scratched multiple pieces of furniture. They were contacted and sent pictures and their response was to send a check for $105. They were contacted many times and this is still not resolved. All the guys were so nice and actually did a good job other than the one who caused the damage and then tried to act like he didn't know what had happened after I witnessed it. Don't trust them to stand behind their work! I really liked most of the employees but the company not standing behind their customer after they knew there was a major problem is not right.
