RUN!! This is the absolute worst customer service and a SCAM! Not only is a run down and filthy (okay - not many choices within Fallbrook), I could live with that for the proximaty. It was the inept (maybe purposely) inability to take a payment or log into the 'system' to make a standard payment. When my card expired-there was no way to login. I repeated received threats of letters and texts and emails and no availability to pay except for a $8 to $20 fee by phone. Repeated calls to a 800 number won't get you to the store. They put in IT tickets and never resolved. Put a lien feee and charged excessive fees. I am a responsible funded business owner that has the ability to pay and have on autopay and they told me "drive to store to fix" when I was constantly on travel. Useless and likely this is a racket by design. Don't go here. Save yourself the trouble. read more

We lost over $5000 in equipment off our fishing goat. Our trolling motor, fish finder, marine batteries, chargers and tools. This facility is not secure anyone can jump over the fence. We were also asked to move a vehicle from our 40ft space after they rented it to us knowing we would have a trailer and boat in the 40ft space. They fit without any problem and then after a year said it was not allowed. Extremely disappointed with our experience. Completely dissatisfied. read more

I met the new 2nd manager today, John, I believe was his name. He stopped to introduce himself to me as he was passing, a nice gesture. He was a pleasure to speak with; good communicator, good listener, he came across as transparent, I'm ok, you're ok. He seems like he will make a good relationship builder. I think that is important in this business. Besides gate hours, location, rates, and overall cleanliness, the relationship between the managers and the customer "tenants" is what creates confidence and satisfaction in the tenancy. First of all this location is infested with RODENTS..we had a storage for 3 months and in that time our clothes (including NEWBORN) was damaged because we discovered feces and pee on most items in the storage. Our Tupperware, pots,pans, and a new baby car seat were also damaged, we took pictures and reported to the insurance but they declined doing anything about it because that was "NOT COVERED" as for the manager DOMINIC he just gave me the runaround concerning the problem by saying he could not refund or compensate us..and pretty much we are going to lose out on the items we through out because you cannot obviously put a newborn In clothes that has come close to any rat feces I HIGHLY SUGGEST GOING WITH ANOTHER STORAGE OPTION there is plenty more to chose from in FALLBROOK..I hope this helps you in deciding where to trust your precious items Thanks for reading read more

I did not have a good experience at this storage unit where I spent tens of thousands of dollars over a five year period with this company. The units are very low quality materials and poorly maintained. The walls are made of cheap drywall, which often has holes, some patched with plywood sheets. The locks and doors to units my units were bent and rusty, making it very hard to open, close and lock. The management will raise the prices every possible chance they have without any limit under the guise of "market rate" adjustments. There will be little done to update or repair things that don't work well and little if any consideration given to valid requests and complaints. The front office staff seem nice and understanding but have no authority to do anything without approval of "managers" who care little for customer satisfaction. I would say this is an old storage facility that desperately needs improvements and updating. read more

I give this place ZERO STARS. I'm normally a patient person but when renewing the lady said she didn't have red stickers for my lock so hopefully her manager doesn't swing by and lock me out. I come back to organize my storage on my one day off at 4:30pm (office closes at 6pm!) & I am locked out ! I go to speak to the manager and her car is there but no one in office during office hours ! Super frustrating because none of this could have been prevented it is an inconvenience due to the UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER in charge she should not have a job there she went to accompany me to give me my lock originally and made me wait while she got her son who showed up without a shirt and shoes on a chilly day. Cube Smart is lucky to have Aspen as an employee. She is thoughtful and thorough in handling customer relations. I rented a Penske truck from this location and even though she does not work for Penske, she went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was smooth and easy. She has great customer service skills and kept a smile on her face the entire time, plus she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. I was there for over a year and the charges just kept going up monthly. I decided to change to another company so I put my 30 day notice in via email and spoke with someone over the phone letting them know I would not renew. I moved my stuff and they still charged me $207 which was my monthly rate. I spoke with someone the day I was charged and she said she would look into it. I called the next day and Aston was so rude about giving me my money back stating that Corporate is busy and that she doesnt know when I'll get refunded. I had to literally state the urgency and to prioritize my refund. I dont know they didnt close my account even after I moved my stuff out of the unit. read more

I have had the opportunity of meeting Aspen and Dominic who are two of the well informed and super helpful employees/managers so far and I am so grateful for that. The on line reservation is so easy thanks to a well designed software/system which make navigating the site like a walk in the park. And they always have great deals for bargain hunters like me. The store is clean and well organized, and you won't have 10 people waiting ahead of you either. And last but not least the storage units are clean and easy to get to and unload. I just want others to be aware that this place has cockroaches and there are spaces in the walls and ceilings for insects so there's no sure way to keep them out of your things. I didn't know then when I checked on my things I was mortified. Just go to an inside temperature controlled storage to avoid insect problems. I moved out asap. read more

What a pleasant surprise! Moving is not easy with so many unforeseen factors. We are selling and buying and needed a place for just one month. Stopped at cubesmart was greeted by friendly helpful staff. We were just pricing looking for a place with no contracts and a good price. I thoroughly enjoyed using this location for our storage needs. We had a unit for six months and upon removal, our stuff was in the same condition we left it in. It has been a week now and I have not had a single instance of bugs or mold on any of my items and am very pleased with the cleanliness of it all. I will absolutely use this location again due to the inviting and friendly staff who are more than willing to help you with anything questions you might have. Watch out military members! I got out and without notice months later my price went up $30. I called and they told me that since I wasn't active duty military anymore I don't apply. When I actually signed up they told me it was for any military. When I also signed up they told me I had to get their insurance. A couple of months go by and I had to get a new card. I called them and changed it and asked to be on auto-debit. Two months later they call me saying I was past due and I owe a lien fee as well. It's $110 added fee on top of a late fee. $360 later, my rent is current. My mother calls me the next day saying they sent her a letter that I was past due. How do they know my mothers address when I NEVER put a secondary contact. Also how'd did they know about my military status when I never told them. I've had continued problems with their auto-debit and when you're past due, you can't use your online account to pay or their automated system. So when you call them half the time they won't let you pay over the phone, so you have to go into their store. Oh and when your past due instead of calling you they will cut your locks, open your storage, throw your broken lock in there, slam the door on whatever they touch, and put their lock on it. Forcing you to buy another one. If I could get zero stars for this place I would because it's a joke that this place is still in business. read more

The cost is a little high but I chose this storage facility over the others in Fallbrook because I know I can trust the Cube Smart company to protect my belongings. Great location. Manager Jennifer was FANTASTIC!!! Professional, caring and accomodating. Disregard other reviewer's negative comments. I beleive the reviewer was commenting on the Penske franchise which is only a service that Cube Smart provides. Penkse is responsible for providing the trucks. We have rented over 30 Penske trucks across the US, in the past 6 years without any problems. We were able to observe her interaction with other customers over the 5 hours of our storage experience. I was there on Friday switching my storage units from the one i had to a bigger one. The transition was great. There was a little misunderstanding but when i brought it with Jennifer she was so apologetic and had no problems in taking care of the issue as soon as i brought it to her attention.
