So I was anxious about how it would go, but Sergey was great to work with in terms of scheduling (we had to adjust our dates/times a few times and he made it work each time!). Worst experience of our lives at a tough time in our lives. I was 39 weeks pregnant and we had to move out of a mold filled apartment. We had no family that was able to help and looked for a moving company at the last minute. The only thing I can say that gives any star is that they respond quickly. I see why, though- because they are horrible, money-hungry people. It's very bad practice to run a business with so many hidden costs and details when there is a language barrier. The two men that showed up were not friendly, almost kind of rude. They would speak in their language and then laugh as they left back and forth in and out of the house. I was uncomfortable. The men took more time wrapping our furniture, that didn't need wrapped, than actually moving. Everything was packed in boxes and stacked in the kitchen by the front door and it still took them 2.5 hours to just get the things into the truck. We only lived in a 950ft apartment that was two bedrooms. They moved slow. I was expecting to pay close to $600 and with hidden costs that weren't clearly explained and ended up getting a $1,000 dollar final bill. When we tried to paid they said they'd charge 5% if we split it between different cards. We tried to refuse paying more than what was quoted and they threatened to call the police. I was literally sick to my stomach and with all the stress- ended up delivering less than 48 hours later. Please read all the reviews before you book with this company. They are scammers. The worst part for me- 4 weeks later is looking at our broken items they carelessly moved. I bought a brand new dresser and changing table (instead of getting one second hand- which I only did with one other item) and it's broken. All the drawers don't slide in and out and there is a huge chunk of the top where the changing table part is that is knocked out. Unprofessional, slow, aggressive, rude, and sloppy movers!!!! These guys showed up late. 2. They disappeared with the moving truck and my stuff for almost 2 hours! And charged me for it too! They claimed to have only taken a 30 minute break but finished loading my belongings at 12:45 and didn't appear at my new house until 15 till 3 pm. 4. They decided not to use their dolly's when unloading and were literally carrying the boxes in to my home one box at a time...Basically milking the time. 5. It took them maybe 2 hours to wrap and load but more than double the time to unload. ****Discretion: on their IG profile they show a moving crew completely different then the guys that showed up at my house. The scariest part was that these movers kept adding hours to the time it took them to pack, I caught on to it when I realized the movers were shooing me away from my previous home claiming they had to "organize" the truck and that's when they disappeared for 2 hours (with my belongings). I began to record and take picture of them arriving at my home because I had a bad feeling about these guys. And luckily my pictures came in handy because they tried claiming they worked 2 hours more than they did! And they wouldn't leave my house because they kept arguing with me about the hours they did not work. I was tempted to call the police. First of all, in order to charge us more, they were very slow! they damaged a valuable picture frame, our wall, and fridge! For all the damages, the owner said that he can only give $100 discount! The help from these guys was appreciated, though they were not as careful around my plants as I had hoped and stressed me out the night before by cancelling, even though I placed a $100 deposit to ensure service and commitment. The called and texted one day earlier, and because I was not with my phone they had cancelled. If there's a deposit, there should be no reason to cancel and stress us out. I called in the morning and then the movers then showed up later than scheduled. I was very clear and adment about how I wanted no one to touch my plants, still the younger guy pushed a mattress and other items through the foliage carelessly. The older guy was more in tune and respectful, he was also really good at packing Tetris style. Unfortunately, they used tape on my blankets and I had to throw them out, when I insisted that I did not want my furniture covered. In October 2021, we hired Sergey (the owner) and his team to move us from California to Texas. Buying our home in Texas was much easier and less stressful than finding a reputable mover, but we are so glad we found Happy Home Moovers! With a number of movers giving us quotes over the phone (without knowing what items we have), or filling out many time wasting inventory list online, it was nice to see Sergey was the only mover who came to our home to get an idea of what we had to move, which was much more reassuring than any other of the 15+ movers we contacted. After seeing what items we needed to move, he sent us a quote, which was very reasonable, and not much more than it would have cost us to rent a truck and do it ourselves! For this move, we packed 80% of our items ourselves, and left the larger items (Furniture, tool boxes, ect....) for Happy Home Moovers to pack/protect. They also provided us with several clothes hanging boxes! The moving team showed up to our house at 8am (exactly when we were told they would be there) and got right to work moving our 1300 Sqft, 2 bedroom, 3 story townhome with double garage. In all there where 4 movers (wow), plus Sergey showed up around 9am to disconnect and carefully pack our electronic items (TVs and Stereo Equipment mostly). Let me tell you, these guys were fast! They had all our stuff loaded in their 26ft truck, which was nearly full, in about 4 hours, despite some issues getting our large couch down the stairs and out the door...they had to remove the front door to get it out. We drove ourselves to Texas towing our car and moving our plants and a few necessities, but needed a head start so we could get the our Texas house ready to move in. Happy Home Moovers was able to hold our stuff in California for a few days before driving it to Texas (at no extra cost!) and unloading us on Halloween day. Sergey himself drove the truck to Texas and hired some local movers (at his cost) to move us into our new home. These guys were also fast and efficient moving all our stuff into the home, setting up the furniture and re-assembling our beds in less than 3 hours! Best of all, there was NO damage to any of our belonging with the exception of an old lamp shade that needed to be replaced anyway. Again, we were so happy with Sergey and Happy Home Moovers! It is no doubt a very stressful process to move half way across the country, and finding a mover you can trust was very trying indeed. Given our experience I would say to just save yourself time looking for movers in a sea of scammers and movers who want to rip you off and just hire Happy Home Moovers. We are so grateful to Sergey and his team. Also, I would suggest tipping your movers! These guys are getting paid, yes, but they are also busting their butts to be fast and efficient while still being respectful of your property. Worked with this company on two previous occasions without any issues. Unfortunately, the most recent encounter has been disappointing and would no longer use or recommend this company to anyone. Brief detail: 2 movers, 2 bedroom apartment, first floor both locations. New location was less than 0.5miles away. What was quoted and actually spent was vastly different. Surprise fees. Price quoted was a flat rate. When they showed up, they started to tack on fees for tape usage, shrink wrap, and boxes. One example: 3hrs into the move, was told I'll be charged 8 dollars bc they have to break down a box to protect a TV. Imagine getting bothered this 3hrs into the move when an initial walkthrough was done. When I spoke up about these fees, they blamed dispatch for not communicating these fees to the customer. They tried to charge me tape but also used my supply of tape as well. I avoided that charge.. but the hassle.. Horrible Business practices. An 1hr into the move, I quickly realized the fees can substantially add up. I told them this is my cash max budget. They were not happy with it and spent some time on the phone talking to "dispatch" They wanted the difference in credit card payment (an additional 5% fee) but I declined because I didn't want to be stuck with an excessive bill. About 30 minutes after the conversation, the mover came to me and said that I will have to waive the insurance liability coverage. It's also a coincidence that they almost damaged a TV 15 minutes prior? An hr later the mover told me 1) the work cannot be done, 2) i should've asked for another guy and 3) things will be left behind. In hindsight, i dont know what the other guy was doing the first few hours. I just notice stuff in the garage moved out a placed in front of the garage, then moved to another open area. I think the truck was finally loaded approximately 2hrs into the move. In a previous move from a 4 bedroom house (with stairs) to a 2 bedroom apartment, they were able to load everything into the truck and complete it in one move. This recent 2 bedroom apartment , so many items were left behind because they claimed the truck didn't have space. They also claimed they didn't have enough time because of my max budget. Let's just say this, the movers factored in their "tip" into the max budget. I know this because the move time and fees came under budget and the movers explicitly asked for the difference to be the tip. Who doesn't have a move budget and a separate tip budget? Honestly would not recommend this company. As if moving was stressful enough, dealing with stressors from movers during a move is unnecessary. It's predatory practice and borderline scammers. UPDATE: Owner reached out to me, inquired about what happened, expressed that the 1-star review was unfair. Owners primary concern was the one star review. Nothing else was addressed. Owner expressed actual prices are higher than what is listed on Yelp and exceptional discount was made for us due being a repeat customer. They felt justified in their business practice. Facts- the items were left behind were: one motorcycle helmet, two sets of crutches, a car jack, and two wheel chairs because they either ran out of "space on the truck"or didn't have enough time. A side note, the company was able to move an entire house with more items in the same timeframe of 6 hours. A two bedroom apartment took the same time, shorter destination, and not everything was moved. If you are looking for a moving company to make your life easier...GO ELSEWHERE. This company took almost NINE hours to move ONLY furniture for four rooms. Into addition, they damaged a good amount of furniture to which they of course denied. I witnessed a worker STEPPING ON TOP OF MY WASHER & DRYER. It was damaged and dented where it was stood on. There are scuff marks on them. They damaged a vintage grandfather clock and a vintage desk. They never brought it to our attention but just waited to see if we would notice. We were very kind to them but the work ethic was just not there. No sense of urgency. No sense of personal property or respect for items. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Sergei offered 5% discount for all the damage instead of doing a claim. I intend to take them to small claims court for the damages. I should also note that we only moved 4 minutes away. read more

I hired Happy Movers and wanted to make sure no one had to go through what I did. They didn't finish the job, maybe half at best, and didn't take care of my furniture or my home. They dinged my walls up bad and took a chunk out of one. They took the legs off my couch threw them into a bag and then handed them to me saying" Don't lose these They go to your couch." They didn't wrap my brand new refrigerator or washer and dryer nor did they cover any of my mattresses. They told me my storage was almost gull which didn't make sense. I have a special needs son that has to be watched 24/7 so I couldn't stay ar storage. I told them it was very important that my sons trampoline and water slide be taken and they left both. My cousin came to help and said there was still room in storage and had they put things in right there would of been plenty of room for everything but I had to rent an additional storage and pay other movers to finish the job. When I contacted them about these and many more issues and they finally got back to me they had an excuse for everything. He said look at my paperwork. Which would of been nice except after the man begged for a ridiculous tip which my cousin said "NO" he took the paperwork and split. I bought them all lunch and had water and drinks available to them. Oh let's not forget they took the things I had set aside like our clothes and personal things and put them in storage. So my son and I had nothing when we got to hotel. Dirty and a mess from moving we had to go out shopping so we would have things to take a shower and be able to put on clean clothes. When they showed up, they were so kind, introducing and asked us questions so that they can strategize their work. We have so much things to move. And in just a few hours the 3 of them were able to load small and heavy items in their truck, drive to the mew place and unload them. My move was scheduled on 11/2! Although the movers arrived an hour late, they were very efficient in getting everything wrapped and down from the 5th floor to the ground floor. We had the elevator reserved and but I wasn't allowed to do more than 2 hours. Because they were late, we lost an hour of the reservation so that was upsetting initially. The move took about 7ish hours, which was a lot more than I expected for my 1 bedroom + office room, and moving 3mi away. Rus and Alex were a dream team! They had a plan for every item that needed to be wrapped. They even helped me figure out where to put my bed in the new apartment. Initially I thought we lost an item, or they packed it some place and forgot. I was a little nervous since I learned of the missing item hours after they had left. If I can give a lower star rating I would. 1 star is too much. They are scammers. Sergey bid a comparable quotation. His team showed up with a contract pressuring us for a signature which had a higher rate. Because one cannot look for somebody else to move that quickly, we confirmed to start with them. Their rates had changed before starting the move! Their vehicle broke down and they spent time to trying to fix it with jumper cables because they could not load our items into their truck.. 1 person was trying to pack which 2 other waited for their truck to be fixed - we had to pay for that time for waiting too. Initially they worked slowly starting at 9:30am and when it was getting late, they said that they would have to work over time to complete the move. They mentioned that this is a California law to charge double hourly rate for the move after normal hours. They had only moved half of our items and said they needed to do 2 trips at 5:00pm. The initial estimate of 6-8 hours went to 14 hours of which 6 hours was at double hourly rate. In the last 2 hours they started hurrying up when I said will want a discount - this is when they started getting rough with the furniture. They had slammed the furniture into the walls and created 3 major holes/gashes in our walls. They broke the electronic mechanism of our office desk which raises up and down. They were also too lazy or tired to move our large sofa out the larger front door - instead they pushed and squeezed the sofa thru the back door, damaging both the leather sofa and also the rubber seal of the back door leading into the garage. Their menacing behavior was not called for especially from Jeff. They said they would only compensate for damages at 60 cents per 100 pounds of weight. I ask you, try replacing the electronic mechanism for $20 and $30 for the leather sofa. Patching up holes for $10 and $10 for the garage door rubber seal !!! That was the discount they gave.
