AVOID AT ALL COSTS I hired them expecting professional service, but what I got was a complete breakdown in logistics and a total lack of respect for my property. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company... that is unless you love broken furniture and terrible/non-existent customer service! The company showed up understaffed with fewer workers than we'd contractually agreed to. They didn't send the number of workers promised, which made the entire process slow, disorganized, and ultimately dangerous for my belongings. From the moment they showed up we contacted the company to address the concerns, but given we had everything scheduled logistically to be gone from our house that day, we had no option but to move forward with the smaller worker crew that showed up. Long story short, we wasted twice as long as it should have taken to get everything done due to the lack of movers. And in the process, they managed to completely break some brand new furniture in the process. It was broken so badly that they just threw it away. BUT THE WORST PART IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE: The "screw-ups" during the move were bad enough, but the aftermath has been even worse. Trying to resolve the damage and the contract breach has been a nightmare. Their customer service is dismissive and completely unwilling to take accountability for their failures. Even today, they were supposed to connect me with their claims manager (after about 5 phone calls and 5 emails), yet failed to do so as they said they would. It's clear they care more about booking jobs than actually fulfilling their contractual obligations or protecting your home. I've had to spend my own time drafting emails and fighting just to get a response regarding the property they destroyed. Do not believe the hype. Originally I enjoyed Meathead Movers, we had use them back in 2025 and they handled our items with care but were understaffed tremendously. Used them again this year, 2026 and honestly I cannot recommend them anymore. We went from a 4 tiered place to a 2 tiered place and they only went 2 workers. They were fine at first but the project manager continued to call them asking if they were done and that needed to head to another job. They continued to call during the move having them step away and take longer. Because of the constant calls they began to rush and be more rough with our items during loading and unloading resulting in chipped furniture. After they unloaded I could tell they were exhausted but still had another job to run too. Although I love supporting student athletes I cannot support a business that overworks and rushes their people causing them to make mistakes. We used Meathead Movers for a local move in July 2025 and were extremely disappointed. The move was originally quoted at four hours, but it ended up taking over nine hours. While the crew started off strong, their energy and care quickly declined. By the time they were unloading at our new home, they were placing boxes randomly, disregarding labels or the proper rooms. It was clear they just wanted to dump everything and leave, which created extra stress for our family as we had to move many heavy boxes ourselves. The packing was equally careless--more than half of our boxes weren't labeled at all, and those that were labeled were often incorrect or vague. The most serious issue was when the crew damaged our one-year-old refrigerator beyond repair by forcing it through a doorway improperly. One of the movers even admitted it was "totaled" and advised us to file a claim for the full amount of what we originally paid ($1300). The crew took the refrigerator with them--ensuring us that we'd get our claim resolved and be fully refunded. Once the claim was filed, it took over two weeks to start hearing about any sense of resolution. We've had to chase down the operations team, who became completely unresponsive. The director of operations completely refused to return any phone calls whatsoever. After multiple emails and attempted phone calls, they finally offered us less than a third of the cost to replace the refrigerator. This entire experience has been stressful, frustrating, and unprofessional. I would never recommend Meathead Movers and am appalled by their lack of accountability, care, and customer service. read more

Meathead Movers came highly recommended from a friend who works in Senior Living, that said this was the absolute worst experience of my adult life. I got an estimate, they came an almost almost a full hour late.Was supposed to get 5 guys to move, only 3 showed up.They came after 11 and soon after that they disappeared and said they were going lunch. By 3pm not even a quarter of our furniture was on the truck, I started to worry and called the company they assured me that everyone would be moved today. By 4pm this was Feb 20th it started to get dark and we were losing daylight fast. I said are we going to get this done today, no response.By 5pm they sent another person and not even half of our things were on the truck, by 6pm I said what is the plan, they said we are not getting this all done today and YOU WILL NEED TO CALL AND SCHEDULE ANOTHER TRUCK FOR ANOTHER DAY.BY THEN IT WAS TOO LATE TO GET MEATHEAD MOVERS TO COME BACK AND FINISH FOR THE NEXT DAY AND I ONLY HAD 2 DAYS OFF TO MOVE.Got to my new home by 9pm. Did not have a belt on the truck which they needed to move my furniture, they dropped my dresser and marble furniture on my brand new home stairwell and damaged both my 20,000 Michael Amini bedroom set and my beautiful wooden stairwell and furniture. I showed the guy he took pictures we submitted it to the home office back in Feb, asked me to get 2 estimates, I didnt even have them pay for the damage on my furniture. I got the estimates my stairwell, is still gouged and winding stair case to my new home damaged and I am being forced to chase them to do the repairs. IN ADDITION i had to pay a whole new moving company and paid twice for a move that should have been done in one day, with the proper equipment ( straps to carry heavy things) the kids walked around in circles, untrained except for one young kid who tried to move things and basically walked around my house, sat in the truck and looked at each other. I am getting ready to take them to court if this is not resolved today.Their claims adjuster Virgilio is completely non-responsive to my emails and I am being left high and dry. This is unacceptable I am going to seek damages if my home is not repaired and a check is not cut asap to repair their damage. The stress of a move is unabelievable, to add this nightmare of a company to it and have them break your beautiful things and new home and then give you the run around is unacceptable. We did NOT have a good experience with this company. This review is regarding a move in May 2024. My elderly parents were moving from one senior community to another senior community, less than 3 miles apart. The biggest mistake I made was not being more involved with who my parents hired. They only send two movers. I've never seen this before. I've hired several moving companies over the years on the east and west coasts and three movers were always automatically sent. I had studio apartments and the company still sent three movers. My parents got two movers. Huge mistake. The movers were nice and I GUESS they meant well. But, it was all a mess. It was just two young guys, they didn't appear to have dollies. They were picking up everything in their arms. They also wore no protective gear like back straps or anything. They got a late start because the iPad they used was updating and we had to wait to sign the final paperwork, after it finished updating. About an hour after they got going, they stopped to take a 45 minute lunch. The move was originally scheduled for 4 hours at around $1100. I thought that was high for only two guys. So, technically, they were supposed to do. the move from 10am - 2pm. They didn't really get started until 10:45am. The move ended a little after 9pm. It was horrible. My parents were just moving from a two bedroom to another two bedroom. Yet, it took forever. I would like to add, there were a TON of boxes and items we originally planned for them to move for us, that we told them to leave alone because we were trying to get them to move the biggest and hardest stuff. It STILL took over 10 hours. You could REALLY feel how bad they needed a third person. Also, the lack of proper equipment. It was all just a horrible experience. They removed the shelves of my parent's tv cabinet and we have yet to find the shelves. They should have put the shelves back in the cabinet before they left. They didn't. The guys were nice. I think they did the best they could. But they didn't have enough help. They didn't have the proper equipment. It seems like they weren't trained that well. One of them took a key we gave him to get in the main doors of the building. He left with the key. We let him know right away that he still had the key. He texted us and said he would give it to the office and have them send it back. We are now almost four months later and still no key. My parents ended up paying over $1000 extra and we still had to move a TON of stuff ourselves. Everyone is saying that if we still had to move so much stuff ourself, then it means we had bad movers. I made you aware that I'm not there and no one mentioned that we need a representative. My neighbor was there 5 minutes after the crew arrived. They did NOT do a walk through with him. Boxes: During the quote I raised my concern that 50 boxes are not enough and I was told that I will be charged for extra boxes used. Items not taken: I was made aware that pressurized kegs, liquids, paint and tobacco cannot be taken and I said I will take care of this myself. We are talking about 1 keg. The pictures clearly show that furniture was left behind. They stuffed items in a closet so it looks cleaner. Meathead Movers never contacted me before trying to send me a pre-collection email. -- This is a late review since it came up again. I hired Meathead Movers in June 23. I was working out of town and got an offer from them to pack my apartment and garage while I'm gone and unload everything in a storage unit. Everything looked fine until they started the move. They left a lot of items back in my apartment and I had to rent a moving truck to move the rest of my stuff myself. I had my neighbor check them in and they left without notifying anyone. The left the front door and patio door open. The patio door leads to the street so anyone could have entered my apartment. My point of contact was fired a couple days after my move and it was hard for me to get anyone on the phone to help me with my problem. I finally got an email address and send an email with all my pictures I took. No reaction. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge since the service was not fulfilled. They didn't even react to my dispute. In November 23 I got an email from them and they threatened that they will send me a collection company. I responded that I'm happy to provide all pictures and email to the collection company. This week they charged my credit card again. read more

From start to finish, the entire process was a breeze! Faith helped me schedule my move and Noelle offered consistent guidance and help leading up to the move. Bri and AT did a great job working with their teams to make sure our move was quick and efficient. There wasn't any significant damage to our belongings they handled. They went above and beyond to make sure they were putting things where we needed them and didn't hesitate to navigate our numerous sets of stairs. They were all polite and extremely courteous. I reached out to Meathead. They've been evasive. Due to the character limit not every issue has been listed. We did a virtual walkthrough. We were told 2 days to pack, 1 day to move, 2 trucks. We planned according to this. Part 1, Day 1: they said they wouldn't need as many boxes or as much time. At the end of the day, when there was a great deal still to pack, they insisted that we didn't need as many boxes as were scheduled. We followed their advice, called dispatch & lowered the number of boxes requested to the number advised by the packers. Day 2: the packers scrambled to pack what remained. They packed items we had clearly stated weren't meant to be such as food, cleaning solvents, & medications. They didn't label boxes well. They were unable to finish packing & said that the movers the following day would finish packing. That information wasn't passed along to the movers. Move Day: we were told that if everything couldn't fit in their two small trucks, they'd come back the next day to finish the move. That was the first we'd heard of this & informed them that the house would be under a termite tent tomorrow. Had we known about this potential in advance, we would have planned a buffer. We were told that the movers weren't supposed to pack items, but since the packers had promised they would, they did some packing. Movers had very little training in how to move furniture safely. I found 1 mover lying on the ground trying to fix a pulled muscle in his back. We repeatedly heard movers asking how to move things & if anyone had any training about how to do so. They also repeatedly asked my spouse for advice. There were times my spouse ended up helping them move furniture. They were unable to fit everything into two trucks. The lead told us we could either: pay for more overtime or pay Meathead to store the trucks at their warehouse overnight & unload the trucks into our storage locker the next day. We opted to have them store it & unload the trucks the next day, as it was already quite late. That lead to us abandoning items & having to pay the new owners of the house for the junk removal, as well as many trips in our car to get the critical items to our temporary housing--this meant we were 'done' on our move day at 2:00am. Move Day 2: we had to unpack almost every box looking for the items that shouldn't have been packed. Ex: 1 box labeled "Utensils" had a couple of utensils dumped on top of mostly food. Part 2: One of the move leads was extremely disrespectful to my sister. He was condescending every time she needed to tell him where to put boxes or furniture in her suite. He also leered at me before realizing I was the homeowner. His demeanor then changed dramatically. The crew decided that the items from the 1st truck should be moved into the garage so that the 2nd truck could use the driveway. They decided that the items in the garage were meant to be in the garage. This included things like boxes clearly labeled "Kitchen" or "Books" as well as furniture. We asked for all boxes with the label of "books" to be moved upstairs regardless of what other labels were on the box. The movers said they understood & then ignored us. End tables that Meathead had dismantled in the first half of our move were placed in the house without reattaching the legs. Another end table was placed in a corner with the drawers pointed against the wall. A bookcase was left in the middle of a room upside down. Chunks were knocked out of the stairwell wall from moving furniture. Unpacking: Significant amounts of property damage. Dish boxes weren't labeled fragile & were packed in stacks with a single piece of packing paper to protect multiple dishes. Some cookware had 0 padding. These had sentimental value as wedding dishes, which can't be replaced. read more

These movers stole my jewelry, broke our furniture and damaged walls during them moving us. It was obvious the young guys were not trained. They had no idea how to move heavy items such as dressers, refrigerators, etc. We were very disappointed and I am daily reminded of the bad experience When I put my daily jewelry on and am reminded of how much of the jewelry my Dad bought me over the years is now gone because these movers stole my jewelry. I had a complicated move including 4 flights of stairs (no elevator in the building) and had the pleasure of meeting Richard and Sam. They were constantly in motion and aided me by provided much needed extra boxes, packing paper and tape. They were above and beyond what I expected as the move was extremely strenuous and they efficiently and expertly completed the 5 hour + move. Meathead movers is the way to go if you are moving!! The sales rep I spoke with over the phone (Noelle) was nice, responsive ,and explained everything thoroughly. The movers, Richard K and Antione N, were great!!! They were quick and efficient, and took excellent care of my belongings. They were also very nice! I was worried about the "not to exceed" price I was quoted, but because of Richard's and Antione's efficiency, my final price did not get up to that amount! Needed last minute help trying to get our boxes and larger items loaded onto the Uhaul in the Nuevo/Menifee area. We had reserved a mover who cancelled nearly an hour before they were scheduled to arrive. Others were so rude and pushy and didn't have any openings. After we had spent the last few days packing and the entire prior day moving - we were just beat. Our other help had backed out as well and thankfully in the same day Meathead Movers was able to send out 2 amazing guys who got almost everything loaded safely and securely. They hustled, they were friendly and helpful, and even joked a bit with my son who is a freshmen high school athlete. They were running a little late and they made sure to contact us and let us know. This gave us a little more time to box and prep our belongings. Awesome service from the initial contact at the office, from the movers, throughout the few hours we had their support, and until the guys headed out. I would highly recommend this company not only for the service, but the price! This company was AMAZING! Julian, Victor, Okowe, Cristian and Mason were the BEST team. My husband and I had 2 full storages, and this team got everything out so quickly. When we arrived to our new home, they were courteous and careful. No damages to anything in the process. I used Meathead Movers to move furniture from my Mother's house to a senior care facility. It was a short distance move, but you wouldn't have noticed. They protected everything that needed TLC. They hustled during the load-up and unloading. When the everything was unwrapped and in the room, it took about 3 hours. Needless to say they were very professional. I'd use them again. read more
