Not in all my years of life have I ever had a complaint about my post office or it's workers but what happened the other day really pissed me the fuck off. For years it's always been very kind and friendly postmen and women. I don't know who shat in this man's cereal that morning but he was rude the second I got in.... For my birthday my mother purchased me a paddle board which I unfortunately didn't get to use while I was on vacation back home.....so I had to ship it to the PNW. I knew it was going to be expensive. I'm struggling with the box because it's heavy and weird dimensions and I hit myself hard in the face while this man is just gawking at me like I grew two heads.... I'm tired and done with this whole thing....here's where I get really pissed off ...he then proceeds to say "this is going to be expensive....do you want me to calculate how much it's going to even be?" But how he was asking was like he thought I was some broke bum that couldn't afford it. And I told him, "regardless of what it costs it needs to be shipped" and he proceeded to as act like I couldn't afford it and said the tape on it wouldn't make it to Washington without being reinforced....I never opened the package and it shipped perfectly fine before ... But I buy a roll of tape anyway. I do everything and then he's like gone gone, so the other postman rings me up and it's $133.44 which I fully anticipated, paid and left. The other man never came back. Like I understand if you're trying to be helpful and save money but I knew that this was inevitable because I live in Washington now and had to ship it anyway. Okay this one's random but stay with me , since every post office within 20 minutes of us was booked out for passport appointments, so we ended up here and it was such a pleasant surprise. Cute little town, never felt chaotic, and the woman who helped us get passports for my two babies was so patient and kind (a rarity these days, iykyk). Shot out to the postal workers that make sure my mail gets delivered. Whether it's business or personal, my packages are always handled with care. (Glad I used packages - not package) LOL Just think about it... you send a card to a friend from California and it gets delivered to New York for only 55 cents! Best deal in town. Sure you can get two tacos for less than a dollar but you won't get the same satisfaction as having something delivered to a friend or loved one. Honestly, each time that I've been in here, the staff have been welcoming and helpful. I've even observed the genuine kindness given to other customers. Sometimes mail isn't delivered because my mail carrier gets so upset that he can't drive to the mail box. I have seen him thrash that mail delivery car, driving up on curbs and running over things. Sad, he is destroying federal property. I am sure he couldn't care less. It's sad that he is allowed to even drive. Ok I don't live in Fallbrook and after reading the reviews I was sure I would not get any help, but I wanted to know where a gift for my sister in law was that was sent 1-28-23. So I called the phone number and Max looked up the tracking number and explained that a third party sent and they don't have the package yet. Very nice and helpful. I live in Fallon NV : no phone number to call the post office , you have to go in person, the secondary post office in town has someone working sporadically and takes an hour lunch, so you have to park and go in to see if anyone is there & and my home delivery gal stops me to inform me she is taking vacation and since no one to cover her route delivery will be hit and miss. Just puts things in perspective. read more

I have to be honest that I am quite surprised that in the recent months returning to this post office for out going packages and stamp purchases that the customer service here has been improved. I have a couple of clerks that were always helpful and friendly in the beginning, but have found that the others have really stepped up in their customer service. This makes me extremely happy because I do come here often and want to continue to do so without having to leave huffing and puffing. I do question the availability of International stamps, a few times I have asked for some and they were out. Although they do have other stamps to use in place of a single international stamp. Please continue to keep up the much needed friendly customer service and hopefully customers will return the friendliness. read more

Seriously, do these postal workers have tenure protections for their jobs like terrible teachers who should be fired do? I came here early in February 2024 and I couldn't believe the attitudes of some of the workers, especially the pudgy balding middle-aged guy. I couldn't see his name tag very clearly but I could see him being rude and abusive to a kindly old man for no reason whatsoever except that he could and I thought " is this the best that they have to put on the front desk to interact with people?" And then I had a black fellow who works in the back come out upon being beckoned for a mail pick up who without a greeting snatched my post office paperwork from my hand only to come back out a couple minutes later to wordlessly toss towards me the three packages that I came to pick up. It reminded me of some of the back east ghetto girls with bad attitudes working the cash register at Burger King in the Bronx where they have this attitude and facial expressions of disgust that they are lowering themselves by doing something for you. I really have to suggest to these people that if they are hating life that much working at the post office that they need to quit and go find something where they won't be hating being at this place and working around people and serving a public that they have so much contempt and disgust for. Time is a precious thing and you shouldn't be trading it for a few dollars an hour and a USPS bankrupting pension for the last 5 to 8 of your life before you pass away from all the pent-up bile you retained over the decades working in a situation that you didn't want to be in. I suggest you quit working at the post office and do something you'll enjoy and be happy at. It will also have an effect on the quality of life for your fellow coworkers who do enjoy working at the post office and who want to be there. I seem to have USPS' most incompetent mail delivery person available. Their only redeeming quality is their skill for turning oxygen into carbon dioxide. As if their delivery person isn't bad enough, you can't get anyone to answer a phone when you have a problem. For the last several months I've not had a single package delivered to my home. If I am lucky, they drop them at the top of my driveway (about 50yards from my home) regardless the weather. More often than not, I am forced to drive into town to pick up my packages the following day. I have personal and professional experience with FedEx, UPS, DHL, Ontrac, and several other freight carriers and USPS has always been at the bottom of the pile. I really didn't think it was possible to get any lower. Thank you to the Fallbrook CA location for proving me wrong. You are the worst. I've just opened my second customer service ticket on this matter, and I am sure it will be of no benefit. So many issues with the Fallbrook location. As far as I can remember I have not had as many issues combined with every other location I lived. Today, for example, I was expecting a package. It was early enough that our usual carrier should have delivered it. Normal mail was delivered but no package. I check the tracking number and it states by 8PM. It was loaded up in a small truck close to 8AM and yet they cannot empty it of packages in a normal shift? It is not even the silly season yet. Another issue is that I ordered something semi large and it was not delivered. They claimed the gate was closed and did not have access. Problem is, I do not have a gated property. Which means the driver was checking their colon instead of the house numbers. I called to inquire about it and they flipped it around stating that the driver entered the wrong code in the computer. They claim it was too big and asked if I could pick it up. The best of them all is that one day I went to get the mail and it was water logged. There was rain overnight but not after 4AM. This means they leave the mail outside overnight without a care in the world. Of course they blamed my mailbox for leaking water after it was placed inside. So in my mail box was a slip of paper that had on it. Final notice signature required. OMG, that's serious I think. And I get this over the weekend in with all Sunday to stew on what this means. Come Monday morning I'm there at their opening. Questions, when did I ever receive the first notice??? What am I getting a final notice without ever receiving a first notice??? Older guy white hair and with glasses hates his job. He helped me and I didn't tape the label usually when I forget they let me have some tape and he was rude about it the guy before me needed a pen and the same guy that helped me told him he didn't have one. You can tell he's miserable and hates helping people out therefore he hates his job and just does it for the money. I went back after I taped the returning label on the package and I gave him a stare a girl in front of me was helped by him and his attitude changed and he asked me if I needed help I said no I'm waiting for the other gentleman. The other gentleman with black hair and glasses is really nice. Not to mention the rude older man was just throwing the packages like if it was trash lol he looked annoyed. They constantly hold or lose our packages. No follow up skills when they say they'll call you back. Impossible to get through when you call to see why they're 'holding your package'. 4 out of 5 times they won't answer the phone and you're stuck calling back numerous times. 3 star only because they were fully stocked on boxes. I can see why this place has such awful reviews. I went in and was boxing my product. I over hear that they were out of stamps. How!? I also watched while people were recieving their packages and the lady was rude! As I stood in line to pay Diane chatted and was open and not once looked to wave me over I had to ask. And the box I had was a little big and she goes " you should put more stuff in here" well I don't have more stuff and you don't have a smaller box. When I walked in there was one person in line, and one register open. As soon as someone saw me she opened another register even though she was doing something else and really didn't have to since there was only one person behind me. The transaction was quick for my packages - I knew what I needed and she didn't try to sell me on something else when she saw I was knowledgeable about the options. When I asked for some "pretty" stamps for a party invitation I needed to send she gathered up not only what was in her drawer, but a few from the other side of the room too. That's more time and effort than I have gotten in other post offices for the same request and I really appreciated it :) read more

I am so done with this post office. The worst service. I have been ordering packages from Shutterfly for years, sending them to the same address that we have lived at for over 12 years. Today I was expecting a package and found that even though the post office stated that it was out for delivery, it was never delivery due to "incorrect address, unable to delivery." The problem is, is that I found out that the postal woman that deliveries part time to our route hates the route. She hates my driveway so I suspect that she put in that it was undeliverable. read more

The worst delivery service and customer service ever! Would give them a negative 5 if I could. Lived at the same address for over 2 years and they all of a sudden are returning my mail undeliverable as addressed unable to forward with a yellow sticker. Tried to call and they NEVER answer their phone. Call the district postmaster to file a complaint and they take your name and number and don't call you back. So frustrating. Will have to contact my local congress person to help me with this problem. read more

These people at the Fallbrook USPS need serious customer service training. I went in with a medium flat rate package and postage paid label printed off the USPS website and asked for the address envelope that affixes to the package. The "clerk" informed me that those are only for international packages. Well, anyone can read on the clear envelope that affixes to the package that the "supplies are provided free of charge for PRIORITY mail." Duh !! I called the post office to speak with the postmaster and was given a carrier that didn't have a clue as to procedure. I seriously doubt that anything will come of this. Posted to the other account that had a couple reviews with the same name. Wanted to post here just to make sure everyone knows that this place is absolute garbage. So back in July of 2019 I bought a P.O. Box from here. Months go by and I do not receive my mail other than amazon items when I physically type in the address. Over the course of the months I put in two change of addresses to the P.O. Box hoping that would solve this problem, it did not. So after two payments of 67 dollars and receiving yet another persons mail in my P.O. Box I went in to get it refunded. The "supervisor", Max, went ahead with the process but had another guy tell me the price while he hid in his office. I only got 33 bucks for a service I did not get. Max essentially told me since I filled out the change of address wrong the second time it was my fault for this issue. I filled this out in front of an employee that verified it. What a joke of a place, what a joke of customer service, and what a joke of a supervisor. Making his employees spill the bad news because he just can't muster it up, pathetic. read more

I really like this post office out of the many California city post offices I have lived in. This one is probably the best one, and the lines are the shortest. Delivery Estimates mean absolutely zero from this post office. An expected Friday delivery date with the package tracked as delivered to the Fallbrook location has several times dragged into the middle of the following week for seemingly no other reason than the failure of the post office to deliver it to my address in a prompt manner. I've had to buy an entire roll of tape from them to close a package that required a single piece of tape to seal a box closed. The location shows no desire whatsoever to excel beyond the absolute minimum amount of effort required to complete the basics of their job. If you are close enough to another location to avoid being forced to interact with this one, I'd recommend doing so. read more

Very bad postal location. We must host the remedial postal flunkys. We get a different mail carrier almost everyday. Our mail is consistently wrong. Most days there is mail on my porch from misdelivered mail. I receive misdelivered mail a few times a week also. I am sure it is a federal offense to misdeliver mail so I would think that the post office would take this more seriously. They don't. This has been a chronic problem for the 2 years we have been there. Obviously nothing is being done to stop the laziness of this location. They really need to clean house and start over.
