Came in when there was a pretty long line (3 days to Christmas) and only one clerk working the counter. The wait was longer than usual, but honestly the experience itself wasn't bad at all. The clerk handled everything really well and efficient despite being on her own -- she deserves credit for that. I'm guessing the other employee may have been on lunch. Overall, this is a pretty efficient post office, and the location is super convenient right at the beginning of Old Town Temecula. Located near old town Temecula, this past office has limited parking in front. It is only one way. But there's plenty of parking around. The gentleman that helped me was funny! He was very helpful. Unfortunately, I was holding up the line as I was not prepared for the price of stamps to be 78 cents! Where have I been? I was mailing my Christmas cards out. I don't come to this USPS a lot, since I'm further out (you know, in the boonies). I have occasionally stopped in to mail a few things here and there. A few days ago, I went at the perfect time which was mid-morning. There was 1 lady in front of me. I had to purchase a padded envelope so that I could mail off some merch to my sweet foodie boo in FL, Terri!! When I stuffed everything into the envelope, Jeff helped me out at the counter. He is quite the character!! We joked around and he was messing with me, all in good fun. That's a rarity these days, especially during the crazy holiday season. I'm extremely satisfied with the service I received here. Some employees are disgruntled and aren't happy to be doing what they've been hired to do. You should know that if you come to this location and Jeff helps you out, you're in good hands! The service was extremely quick since I lucked out, but good luck to you if you are going in the next few days. The parking sitch isn't all that great during peak hours, but just go when they open and you should be fine. There's always street parking if the small lot gets full. Happy Holidays! I went today for the first time as I was in the area for a job and, as usual, I had a package to send in my car, neglected for days. I checked on Yelp where was the nearest post-office and found this cute one, very in tune with the Old Town Temecula look & feel. Super fast service and very impressed with the awesome vibes of the black lady whose name did not catch. She was extremely welcoming and treating everyone very sweet and makes you want to be friends! Great post office! Josie in particular went out of her way in a big way to help me get a PO Box in another state sorted out. I had to visit two days in a row to get it finalized due to the time zone difference, but Josie held on to my information overnight and remembered exactly where we left off the following day. This place is nice If you don't mind small enclosed places. The day that I went, the line was long and only one person at the counter. He had excellent customer service skills. I do not understand for the life of me while this Post Office only has a few stars . I have been in this place numerous times lately and I feel this place is more than efficient. There are no lines, unlike the Rancho California location. I apologize, but I didn't get the names of the two people that work there, but these two literally have a comedy show going. They make me and everyone in the lobby laughing like crazy . They are like the Bonnie and Clyde of the Post Office. I told them I was going to post a review, so they know who they are. This was the most disrespectful customer service experience I had ever encountered. I explained that I have no experience in shipping and upon presenting my questions I was met with condescendingly rude responses. I had felt as if I was unwelcomed here and unworthy of their service because of my lack of knowledge in shipping items. These clerks are the most nastiest individuals I had ever come acrossed. Pretty decent post office, but a bit small. Also there's not a lot of parking since it's located in Old Town Temecula in a more touristy are. It's a very unique post office in that it looks like an Old West building from 150 years ago. You can't miss it because it does stand out! One thing I do appreciate a lot is that there are mailboxes outside to drop off your mail after hours. And they're easy to find and access. I've come here a few times late at night to drop something off for work when other post offices were closed and didn't have outside drop boxes. read more

Cute small Post Office in Temecula. Was onsite in Temecula for work and had to google this cute little Post Office to mail out Christmas gifts. I got there around 12 and it wasn't busy. Plenty of spots to package gifts and it was clean. I didn't interact with any personnel, but I did see a few people at the counter so it looks properly staffed. read more

I have a PO Box here and have had more mail gone missing here than anywhere else before. I also noticed in the past the employees who work here seemed to always be in a bad mood. I have noticed a change in the past few months and several new employees. They actually have become very welcoming and helpful lately, which is great to see. Hopefully they continue to improve things around the post office. The lobby hours have changed from 6am-6pm which is a little inconvenient, wish they kept the lobby open for a little longer like they did in the past. read more

This location is small. It can be very busy so be patient waiting in line. The parking is ridiculously small as well, don't be surprised if you have to park on the street. My mom went into this location for assistance while I was on the phone, and the customer service staff (male worker on 2/20/2014) at this location was terribly rude. Beware for unhappy workers at this location. They don't seem happy with what they do at their job. read more

Compared to all of the other local PO in town, this location is my favorite and by far the least hassle to do anything. The workers are friendly and the lines are shorter. People in town usually go to the Murrieta or Rancho Ca. locations so I can usually get in and out pretty quickly here. It's located in Old Town Temecula and has its own parking lot, which is rare in Old Town. You can also drive up and drop off letters without getting out of your car. read more

Worst service ever. Arrived at exactly 5p and held the secondary door for someone exiting.. a gentleman was about to lock the door.. I asked him to please accept my packages, that I just needed a couple of scans because in the past I've left them in the blue bins and had missing packages. He said his manager Gloria told not let him let me in. I will be calling the main office tomorrow as well. To not help a customer who is pretty much begging for just a couple of scans at literally exactly 5p because I held the door for an older person exiting seems like extremely poor customer service worthy of this review and a call to the main office. read more

Both times I have been here the customer service is terrible. I don't know if it's because I'm younger than the demographic that typically comes in to the post office, but both times the worker has been SO rude. When someone else came in they turned to them and were so sweet and welcoming and would turn back to me and scowl. The man even rolled his eyes as me as I was turning away. To begin the only reason they aren't getting one star is because my previous experiences here haven't been so bad. I called this morning to inquire about my mail that my roommates and I haven't picked up in about a week. They left no notice that they took our mail. When I called a VERY rude lady came on the line and said "well you should have received a notice, its not our fault you lost it." I explained to her that I never received one to lose in the first place! RUDE! Then she said "fine i'll go look but I don't think we have it" comes back on the line and says "no like I said we don't have your mail!" AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME! As far as USPS offices go, this one is one of the best. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and although there were only 2 associates, the line moved by very quickly. My only complaint is that they don't have any pens/markers for customers to use... You have to wait until an associate is available to ask for a pen. Just seems more efficient to have pens chained to the counter like they do at the bank. read more

I used to go to this post office a lot since it was near work and I was friendly with the employees, until one day the manager came down on me really hard for a really ridiculous reason in a way that was very upsetting I started going to the Murrieta post office soon after, and it was like night and day how wonderful that branch is on Los Alamos. Recently, I went back to this Old Town Temecula branch, with a new manager (for which I was really grateful), but now this person has made me feel really bad two of the last three times I went in, and this last time they humiliated me so obnoxiously that I'm done. DONE. There's more I can say, but hopefully that's enough to get the point across. I'll go a little out of the way to go the one near home instead of the one near work to avoid having to deal with the people there. How unfortunate. So today was a day like any other. Mediocre at best. Same ol people cutting others off on the road, not saying thank you when someone held the door open for them and don't say hello back...when you said hello to them. I've come to expect this sort of behavior from most people over the years. And then...I had to send a package. I walked into the USPS in Old Town, Temecula. There were 2 people in line before I got there. One person was attempting to shove a large box into a small box and the other person was asking about pricing for her package. Jeff was behind the counter. He was calling out to the man who was trying to make things fit saying he had a box that would fit it perfectly and wouldn't cost him anything to use while giving his opinion on what he thought was the best choice for the woman at the counter. When I walked in, he loudly said , "Hello...I'll be right with you." He was simultaneously helping 3 people with a huge smile and genuine desire to help!! I've NEVER seen this before!! When I came up to the counter he actually helped me repack my box so it would be cheaper in a smaller box! He packaged it and everything!! What an amazing person!! I wish I knew him outside of his work environment because he is the kind of individual that is good to have around - cause he just has an energy that makes the day better!!! I'm back in my car now and I've noticed it's a beautiful 68 degrees and the sun is shining! It's a beautiful day and I never would have noticed if I didn't run across Jeff today!! read more

Not to be confused with the great efficient friendly service of the USPS on Rancho Calif Rd. This one does not compare. From Menifee, never used this PO before. Had to drop off prepaid business packages on way to appointment in Temecula. The man there was a little arrogant and when asked, I assured him the packages were all dated correctly he said loudly, "Be assured, we WILL be checking". I thought, heavens, who made him Barney Fife? I felt like I was being accused of doing something wrong! The next day a package was returned to me from Temecula due to insufficient postage. I took it to my local post office and they did not have a clue why it was returned. Postage was correct. I did not deal with anyone but the man working there so I can't say anyone else is arrogant or unprofessional. It's worth the time and drive to go to Rancho Calif/Margarita post office.
