11/25/24 Dropping off mail for Friends
    Jennifer W.

11/25/24 After having a fun day with family in Temecula, needed to mail off a few greeting cards to Friends. This USPS location was on the way home, city of Murrietta. What a nice surprise when we to turned right into Washington Avenue , a street adorned with pretty lights! This post office is small but it had a sizable parking lot & and an access ramp to the PO Box lobby & counter. I didn't encounter a live interaction because I just dropped it off on the chute. I have had about 4 cards that I sent from the Montclair area that the recipients reported have not received in the past couple of months. I am hoping the city of Murrieta will deliver, literally & figuratively I worked hard on those hand crafted cards that were somehow lost in LIMBO

First time shipping something from this post office. Very nice customer service from the lady working there. Lots of customers considering how small this office is. Somehow I feel this was a historic building and could imagine the bandit Murrieta wandering around too!

This particular USPS is manned by some very kind and customer service oriented personnel, but the amount of time it takes to get through their average line to process a simple 5 minute package drop-off is terrible. For such a small post office with three windows; you could be there for a half an hour just for a line of only 10 people. Don't get me wrong, the staff are great, but a lot of chit-chat takes place during processing, and it consumes a lot of the time spent there. Highly recommend, if you are not in a hurry.

This is how my Gift arrived..... How dare you be so careless
    Cathy M.

You totally destroyed MY Package/Gift to my Brother even through I wrote FRAGILE/GLASS all over the BOX...... I firmly believe that my pkg was damaged out of MALICE because I wrote Glass on the box and I had Fragile items inside!!!!!!!! MY items are irreplaceable because they "were" Antiques. I am sooooo heartbroken due to your careless act. Shame on you postal workers!!!!!! HOW could you deliver a package to a customer like that!!!!!!

I recently read that the United States Postal Service is hemorrhaging money like fat guy in a buffet bathroom. I can imagine what a streamlined USPS will look like. No more Saturday deliveries. More APCs and shorter lobby hours. Massive layoffs and postal center closings. If any of those things were to actually happen, I'm pretty sure this post office would close for business and be replaced with several APCs. Right now, there aren't any but there are a ton of PO boxes and a 2-person service counter. Plenty of parking though and Sidelines Bar & Grill will take 20% off your bill if you come in with a same day post office receipt. Enjoy it while it lasts...

The PostalAnnex at California Oaks (Murrieta, No. 92563)…read more Murrieta, California. The wide avenues of Riverside County stretch beneath a relentless sun, where strip malls rise like modest caravanserais along the trail. Tucked into one such outpost at 40960 California Oaks Road lies PostalAnnex--a quiet emporium of shipping, printing, and the unexpected. You arrive expecting the usual postal rites: boxes, tape, the faint scent of cardboard. What you discover instead is a pleasant revelation--this unassuming annex offers LiveScan fingerprinting, a service as rare in these parts as a cool breeze in July. Convenient? Exceedingly so. Mere minutes from the highway, sparing one the pilgrimage to distant county offices or sterile government halls. The gentleman behind the counter greets you with genuine courtesy--no hurried sighs, no veiled impatience. Friendly, efficient, almost disarmingly so. The process unfolds with expeditionary grace: forms completed, fingers rolled across the glass platen, digital ghosts captured and dispatched to whatever bureaucracy awaits them. The entire affair? A brisk twelve to fifteen minutes--swift enough to feel like a minor detour on a grand journey. The store itself brims with character: shelves laden with knickknacks, gadgets, greeting cards, and the sort of eclectic inventory that invites browsing. A touch of organized chaos, the mark of a true general store reborn for the modern age. One small quibble--the scanning platen bears the faint fingerprints of previous travelers, a light film that speaks of steady use rather than neglect. Nothing, however, that a quick mist of Purell cannot remedy (bring your own, or politely request; either suffices). Service requested: LiveScan fingerprinting. Quality: swift and personable. Value: exceptional, given the rarity and proximity. In a landscape where such services are often distant or dour, this PostalAnnex stands as a welcome surprise--an oasis of convenience and cordiality. One leaves with clean records (eventually) and a lighter step. Yes. Most certainly.

I sent an email PDF attachment, while in their store, to print today, and it didn't go through. So I tried to resend the entire email with the attachment, and it also did not go through. Thania suggested I go outside because their "network isn't great" and allegedly the only way to print was this odd system of going via email. Long story short, I drove home, parked in my driveway, and both items were "sent." Went back to store, asked for the 2-pg PDF print, and so far so good. Then I asked, "How much extra is it to print the one page email?" Thania DID NOT REPLY BUT SENT IT TO THE PRINTER. I got charged 75 cents for the three copies, and "Computer use per hour $2.99" So with tax, it was $3.81 for what should have been 50 cents, without my explicit agreement to print the actual email. I feel so scammed. Its not the money...its the PRINCIPAL...after I paid, I said, "I don't feel like I should be charged for the email because I only asked how much it was; I did not agree to it." Thania and her co worker, who were talking about someone's pregnancy, and babies, said, "Well -- we printed it." So, their attitude is definitely BUYER BEWARE. Eek! I tried to call and speak to the manager Denise Forest, and was told "They aren't in, don't know when they will be, you need to send an email." I can see from the replies to the MANY other 1-star Yelps that I'm not going to get any refund, empathy, or customer service; I'm going to be told again that they conducted the service, so I owe. Honestly, that's just a crappy approach to business and customers. Another painful and expensive lesson learned! If you are smart, steer clear of this place! (I'm also calling Corporate, but since this is locally owned, I'm guessing they won't care.) SMH. EEK. ****GREAT ALTERNATIVE: GO TO THE MURRIETA PUBLIC LIBRARY! **** They only charge $.15 for black-and-white copies, and $.65 for color. You can send an email from home to do it, or use the wireless icon on their website FOR ABSOLUTELY NO EXTRA CHARGE!!! So for me, that would have been 45 cents vs the $3.81 they sadly felt they had to rip me off for. (I get it, they are a business...but come on, no ambushing after the fact. Just advise up front! Geesh!) **Shared with my 3.5k Twitter Followers and 2.9k Bluesky followers, since UPS doesn't care, I have an actual duty to try to warn others to ask the price of UPS services FIRST, which should be told upfront to any customers they actually cared about.**

The UPS Store at Clinton Keith (Wildomar, No. 92595)…read more Wildomar, California. The southern reaches of Riverside County unfold like a vast, sun-bleached canvas--sprawling suburbs, distant mountains, and the occasional outpost of commerce where one seeks to dispatch a parcel into the great beyond. At 27890 Clinton Keith Road stands this solitary UPS Store, a brown-clad fortress amid the retail wilderness. You arrive with your package--carefully taped, labeled, a small emissary of your intentions headed across counties or continents. What greets you is not the brisk efficiency of a seasoned courier captain, but rather a faint whiff of snark drifting across the counter like cigar smoke in a speakeasy. The attitude is subtle yet unmistakable: a raised eyebrow, a sigh that lingers a moment too long, a tone that suggests your box has personally inconvenienced their afternoon. On the few occasions one has ventured here, the experience repeats itself with the reliability of a stagecoach schedule. No warmth, no expeditionary camaraderie--just the quiet implication that you, the traveler bearing goods, are an intrusion upon their domain. Service requested: competent, if grudgingly delivered. Quality of the transaction: functional, nothing more. Value: one begins to question whether the convenience justifies the subtle hostility. In truth, this correspondent would sooner reroute through distant lands--seek an alternative UPS outpost, or abandon the brown fleet altogether--than endure another encounter with such understated disdain. There are, after all, other ways to send a package on its journey. FedEx beckons from afar. Even the post office, with its eternal lines, suddenly feels like a kinder frontier. Perhaps one day this store will rediscover the spirit of the trailblazer. Until then, proceed with caution... or simply ride on past. Maybe.
