May 1 4:30 pm Absolutely abysmal customer service. Stood in a long queue of like 20 people, for about 20 minutes. When I got up to the front the lady took a look at my package, which was already packaged up, not shoddily, it was packaged well.. well, she took it and looked it over and told me that the tape I used (duct tape) was not permitted. I've been to countless usps locations and never encountered this issue before. Malicious compliance maybe, or something else? Who in their right mind would be so up their own to demand I purchase new tape from usps and repackage my item in person, when it was already solidly packed and ready to go, is just SUCH. This Post Office location, has an interesting setup. In so far it has a tiny footprint in a Murrieta shopping strip. And yet, the back is huge. When you go inside, you get a glimpse of things in back. The postal employees are all very helpful. I watch with a sense of wonder, as one tried to help an elderly customer. 11/25/24 After having a fun day with family in Temecula, needed to mail off a few greeting cards to Friends. This USPS location was on the way home, city of Murrietta. What a nice surprise when we to turned right into Washington Avenue , a street adorned with pretty lights! This post office is small but it had a sizable parking lot & and an access ramp to the PO Box lobby & counter. I didn't encounter a live interaction because I just dropped it off on the chute. I have had about 4 cards that I sent from the Montclair area that the recipients reported have not received in the past couple of months. I am hoping the city of Murrieta will deliver, literally & figuratively I worked hard on those hand crafted cards that were somehow lost in LIMBO read more

This particular USPS is manned by some very kind and customer service oriented personnel, but the amount of time it takes to get through their average line to process a simple 5 minute package drop-off is terrible. For such a small post office with three windows; you could be there for a half an hour just for a line of only 10 people. Don't get me wrong, the staff are great, but a lot of chit-chat takes place during processing, and it consumes a lot of the time spent there. Highly recommend, if you are not in a hurry. read more

I went in today to try to forward my moms mail to my address since she had passed. I clearly have never done this before so I had no idea what it entailed. I was helped by Angie and right away she's telling me "no, can't do it, I need a letter.." ok so I'm trying to ask questions in regards to that and she continually keeps talking over me and not hearing what I'm asking. She then has the audacity to say "this is why she should have done this letter before she passed." I was in shock. How dare you tell someone this. I responded to her "excuse me? She didn't plan on dying!" I grabbed my paper and told said "that comment- insensitive!" She then shrugged her shoulders and said "well there's nothing I can do." How can she have a job where she works with people and think it's ok to speak to people this way. Shame on her. read more

Completed international customs forms on USPS website with a confirmation to bring to any post office. The confirmation states any post office can print out the custom forms completed online and all I needed to do was pay for shipping. The staff at this location are not familiar with the process and wouldn't help me figure out how to get my forms printed. They told me they don't do that and have never done it that way. They wanted me to fill out their forms by hand. I brought my package to the Los Alamos location. The staff at the Los Alamos location were very helpful. They haven't seen an online confirmation before as well, but they were very kind and searched through their system to locate my forms. read more

Unfriendly and unprofessional in here, not all the staff, but most. I avoid coming in to this office for that reason - had to stop-in for a last minute mail-out yesterday and was quickly reminded why I stopped coming in here. I recently read that the United States Postal Service is hemorrhaging money like fat guy in a buffet bathroom. I can imagine what a streamlined USPS will look like. No more Saturday deliveries. More APCs and shorter lobby hours. Massive layoffs and postal center closings. If any of those things were to actually happen, I'm pretty sure this post office would close for business and be replaced with several APCs. Right now, there aren't any but there are a ton of PO boxes and a 2-person service counter. I just went to this post office to drop off prepaid box to be mailed out. Wasn't sure whether they needed to see inside like fedex does so I didn't have my box taped. Gentleman said step aside And use the tape, it was priority mail tape and my prepaid was first class mail. They told me I had to leave take the tape off retake with clear and bring it back. Not to mention I walked in there with my 2 toddlers and these ppl wouldn't allow me or help me get the tape off and help me with new tape. Horrible customer service, won't use USPS for packaging anymore just fedex and ups where they've been nothing but helpful in the past. read more

Pretty standard for a post office, first time here and was expecting a longer line. They only had two counters open and there was only one person in front of me. Before I reached the counter I recognized both ladies working from the Los Alamos location, I guess the workers switch locations from time to time. The woman who helped me name was Celeste and she is always super friendly and helpful! I would have given 5 stars but the the size of the location is a bit small and would be uncomfortable if 4 or more people were standing in line. read more

Leaving the post office in a good mood is a 50-50 chance for most people. Today I took my chances not sure if I would have a good experience because I frequent the post office and this was my first time at this location. I have a online shop where I'm constantly sending out products and my printer when on the fridge so I had to come down in person to send everything out. I prefer using the Kiosk, aside from it being convenient with no social interaction. There was a worker putting mail inside the PO boxes and they asked her questions and she was very helpful and answered them without attitude or hesitation. I will definitely be coming to this location again versus the neighboring locations I have the opportunity to visit. I had a good experience here and I plan on coming back, when I have to use the post office. read more

I am probably going to come her just to wait in like and talk to Antonio. [Okay not really, but i will be back].This was a quick visit but first time here. I was there about 10 minutes total [I had to fill out my envelope, get the address etc]. I watched Antonio interact with a few customers, and he was so kind and honorable. A young kid came in to drop off packages and Antonio was so sweet to him and gave him a coin for his good deed. It truly felt like a small town post office with kind employees. No hustle and bustle. Busy place, but most of the time all three windows are staffed and everyone is friendly and efficient. You can get in, get out, in no time. I'm glad it's here and busy so one doesn't have to cross the freeway to Los Alamos location. Every time I come to this location, I have such a wonderful experience! Trustworthy as I have NEVER lost a package here!! Wish we lived closer to this one to have our mail sent here. Today, Mark helped me send a package out. Helped me size out my package and pick the right box/envelope for it. My daughter hardly ever speaks to strangers and something about him ... He is retiring soon (after almost 20 years) so when asked if I needed stamps, I told him we'd have to visit more with him before he leaves. ;) He also retired from the US Air Force after 20 years! I called the other day from Guam after a 8 year tour of duty and am so pleased to say that the my experience was GREAT. The staff was very helpful and informative in answering my questions. My heart goes out to any federal employees effected by the recent shut downs and hope the democrats will suck it up and give the president the funding he is requesting as being obstructionists just supports our enemies. This political season has been full of drama. There's been more drama in Washington than any soap opera on television. Our elected officials in Washington have kept us quite amused with all of the bickering and finger pointing. I had a PO box at this location for a very long time and there are a LOT of shipments they don't accept which was becoming annoying. There are times when they get really busy and there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency in helping customers. They move very slowly and don't address people as they're waiting in line. read more

Ive been calling for two days trying to track a package and "Mark" is incredibly rude and unhelpful! He started yelling at me because I had a tracking number and not a parcel number. I called the 800 number and they said he should have been able to help me and was just being difficult. Why do they have a manger who working and answering phone with no customer service skills? Got to the door at 5:02 and it was already locked with customers still inside and they would not even look at me to open the door... So I drove all the way over to Los Alamos US post office and not only did they help me with all of my packages they scanned and printed all of the packages for me so they would go out right then wow they rock!!!
