Came here once and will never come back. Horrible service, the lady working won't even scan the packages you drop off. She was very disengaged and unaware of what is going on. She told me to leave it where the other dropped off packages were being stacked up by the entrance. Who leaves packages on the floor by the entrance?? Don't trust this place! Your packages will most likely get lost or stolen. Much rather go to Postal Annex down the street. Also, they upcharge for the shipping carrier you want to use and try to convince you in purchasing the more expensive one smh. read more

This place sucks and over charges. Came in to ship a USPS medium tube box that had some extra on the end (I was shipping a driver) and they told me it is modified and had to be shipped as a normal box. Took measurements, typed some random numbers... $91 dollars?!?! NO THANKS! Then I asked, can I ship these in USPS envelopes and of course they would say yes. Then they informed me that they will charge me $3.50 for the envelope plus whatever random shipping charge. SERIOUSLY?! CHARGING ME $3.50 TO USE A USPS FLAT RATE ENVELOPE THAT IS FREE?!!? Worst business I have ever been in. The place is HOT no AC and it's summer. The place stinks like old food and sweat. The people are rude and you don't know if they are talking to you or someone else. I will be surprised if Fedex gets my package. Recommend going somewhere else. First time I ever needed to fax anything Big mistake going to postal place it was charged $27 for my packet and when it didn't go through she said yes it did,and wanted to charge me again. She told me the mistake was on the receivers end and did not give me proof that it was sent at all. read more

Over priced every time I come in here to do anything due to not having time to go to the post office I end up paying almost double for anything I mail. Today came in for 1 stamp was charged .82 for 1 stamp. YOUR PACKAGE WIL GO MISSING IF YOU DROP OFF HERE! I own an ecommerce store and constantly drop off packages at the post office EVERY DAY. I made a quick stop at this third party post office because I was in a hurry and dropped off about 40 packages in a box which I left with the YOUNG GUY . A couple days later I start receiving messages from customers complaining about not receiving their packages. Apparently they lost about 10 of my packages and are denying that I made a drop off here. STAY AWAY!!! THEY ARE EITHER STEALING PACKAGES OR CARELESSLY HANDLING THIS BUSINESS. Rude younger guy, nice older lady. I've tried this place a few times out of convienence. They are near my home and I use shipping for work quite often. They have grossly overcharged me every time. We recently moved across the country and accidentally left the countertop to an antique cabinet behind in California. One of our friends offered to ship it to us, and she took it to the Postal Place. We knew it wouldn't be cheap to send--it was 36x46"--but we needed it here. The woman at the store packaged it for $40, which seemed excessive, but what could we do? Then she said that shipping would be more than $350! Our friend called us from the store to see what we wanted to do, and we told her to forget it. The lady then got on the phone with my husband and said she'd knock off $50. We felt that would still be too expensive, plus how much of a markup was she taking if she could afford to knock off $50? While my husband was talking to her, I entered the dimensions and weight into the US post office website. The quote was less than $100. When our friend told her that, she said the post office wouldn't accept it and our only option was FedEx. Outright lie! The post office DID ship it for less than $100, and it arrived here in Illinois less than a week later. I understand that these places need to charge a mark-up, and that's fine. But the amount of her mark-up was outrageous. Add the blatant lie about the post office, and I have to conclude this is a really shady business. Take your packages elsewhere. read more

I sent a two page fax from this business and was charged for a long distance fax when it was sent to a toll-free number. Though no signs were publicly displayed noting a minimum charge, my total-due was doubled because I wanted to use a business charge card for payment. I asked the business owner to terminate the fax and she refused. I had to walk 500 yards to a grocery store to get cash. The business owner was so miserly that she would only provide a confirmation page if I allowed her to do so on the back of one of the items I had faxed. I am taking the time to write this to warn others to stay away from this place. I unfortunately have been here twice - reluctantly for the second time. The first time, the old lady was unbelievably unhelpful, almost lazy for lack of a better term. I walked out completely disgusted by her awful attitude. The second time was on 8/20. I went in to mail an envelope. She asked me to pay cash because the amount was low. I gave her my card because I don't carry cash and she asked me to buy stamps to "round up" the amount. Then, she took a long time to process the card payment, which left suspicious. She did not print a receipt or a mailing label which left me worried whether she was going to mail it or not. This store is conveniently located close to where I live so I went in to buy stamps the lady wanted to charge me over $14 for a book of stamps when a book of stamps at the post office is $9.40 so I refused and came home a did a little research and even though it's not illegal to sell stamps for a higher amount she lied and told my senior grandmother that they were the same price as the post office the price went up. Yeah right!!! This store is frequented by seniors since it is right next to a couple retirement homes and I think it's sad she is lying to unknowing people about the price, if my grandmother wasn't on a tight budget or better yet didn't know the price of stamps she probably would have fell victim to their lie. This place is conveniently located to where I live yet and I will not be going back. I've been 3 times and the first time things felt a little fishy (she had me leave my package on the floor by the door to enter/exit her shop) then the second time she couldn't print me a receipt with tracking so I hadn't been back. Now this last time I went and she said she couldn't give me a receipt w tracking but she could print out the label but only for one of the two items (why she wasn't printing it out as I paid I have no idea) I paid $10 for two small things to be sent out and I just had one person message me saying they had to PAY to get the package I sent them!!!! I paid for shipping and she was told I didn't have the right postage and had to pay to get the item!! I make and sell item so typically people pay for shipping at the time of purchase. Luckily this was for a friend and she was ok paying for it but the other package was for a customer! This makes me look bad. Not cool. I would never go anywhere else for Postal services. The owner makes everyone feel as if they are family. I have had my business mailbox there for more than 10-years and I truly appreciate the extra effort they make in letting me know of important mail arrivals. They can meet any need you may have for package delivery or business services. They also do many other services. This is hands down the most efficient postal service in the area. I've been a customer for almost 10 years here, and their mailbox services are the best in town. Great prices, reasonable, and I trust these people with my mail. I never have to worry about my mail being misplaced or anything of that nature. I have also mailed things from here, and yes, they charge a bit more for stamps (since they have to make a living too). Bottom line is they have no lines, and they're customer service is the best. If you don't want to spend a tiny bit extra for stamps, go to the Post Office where they're rude, and the lines are out on the curb--don't go here if you're your money is more important than your time. If your time is more important, go to the Postal Place for a quick trip, and out the door. I won't ever go to any other postal store for any of my mailing needs, whether its FedEx, UPS, or USPS, they do it all here and its reasonable. The most important thing is its family-owned, and they are very friendly. They speak to customers with a smile, and like to get to know their customers. If you don't want to spend a little more money, then go to the Post Office where you deal with rude people and long lines. They never have lost my mail I sent from here, and its trustworthy. I pay a bit more for shipping, but there is a big reason why. I would rather give my business here, so that small businesses in this city can stay in business. All my packages that were next day, were all guaranteed as promised. If not, this business will help their customers with any issues that may arise with FedEx. It's local, and if it's near you, you'll save the money you spend to drive to a Post Office on gas--You may as well go here!! The other people that wrote a review before about are probably customers that only went there for once in their life--they don't know what I, and a lot of other customers know about this place. Yes, they charge a buck (a buck!) for a UPS drop-off, but don't ask for labor (carrying big boxes to the back for customers) or free tape to tape up your open if you're cheap and don't want to do it yourself. They charge a handling fee of $1 for UPS for a reason--because its a service and it covers your taping and handling as well! Bottom line, this business is trustworthy, I'll always keep my mailbox here, and will continue doing business here! Those of you that are cheap, don't go here--you're better off going to the Post Office. I don't mind paying a bit more, because the customer service is the best here. The lady who I assume runs the place asked me if it was rush, I clearly stated, "No, no rush, it can get there whenever." Well I guess she took that as, "Whenever? I'll just charge you for 2 day priority shipping and not tell you then." I am a young adult, this was my first time sending a package across country by myself, so I wasn't aware of how expensive it should be. When she told me it would cost $40 for a less than 2 pound package, I just assumed it was expensive because it was going all the way to Maryland. I would've at least like to know that it was 2 day shipping, she didn't even confirm it with me! And gave me no receipt. If possible I would give them zero stars! I sent my son in to ship a small package (2lbs.) to Ky UPS ground. The woman behind the counter charged him $41.89! I Googled the actual price from UPS and it was under $15. I understand a markup but that is outrageous! When I called and complained she said that was the correct price and she refused to refund anything. When my son went back to retrieve the package and get a refund she told him that it had already gone out.....how convenient! 1/7/14... I usually don't write reviews, good or bad ones, but I honestly am beside myself when it comes to this place.. THEY WERE RUDE, CHARGED AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY.. It is awful.. I have been here twice, last night was the final straw.. I needed a very IMPORTANT LEGAL DOCUMENT faxed, which cost me $3.50 for 1 SHEET OF PAPER to be faxed.. I then had to ask for the confirmation sheet which she did NOT hand me, she then asked for my legal document back & then preceded to put the conformation on the back of my paper I faxed..I asked her why she did that, & her response was to save me money.. I did NOT ask for that.. I wanted my legal document with a confirmation sheet attached like most places do... The government office did NOT receive it, I was on the phone with them at this point & the two ladies behind the counter on 1/6/14 were so RUDE.. They said it was not there fault they did not receive the document and wanted to charge me another $3.50 to resend it with an attached confirmation page which they should of done in the very first place.. This document was very important and now because of them it was not sent on time.. I called this morning just ask how much they charge to fax and TODAY the amount was even different and higher, today 1/7/14 its $5.00 now... WOW!!!
