Oh boy! I can't believe it's been over 10 years since my last review here. Your boy is drinking now. Haha! I stand by my review, though. I found tge flavors more appetizing this time, but I feel the Creamy Jalapeño has become saltier than before.

Hey, it's me! The chip guy! Large queso? Fajitas for two? Here's chips for tonight's order...

Panchos. Mixed chicken & beef fajitas. I feel the chicken was better.

Chuy's for the win today. With the weather changing, I needed something warm and that was going to help my scratchy throat feel better cause allergies due to crazy weather and the chicken tortilla soup with a side of Spanish rice was just the thing. I decided to sit at the bar even though I wasn't drinking today. I got a cup instead of a bowl and glad cause after snacking on the yummy chips and green sauce, I couldn't even finish the cup. Th meal was fulfilling, delicious and inexpensive. With tip, and I tipped over 40%, I got out of there paying less than $17. Can't remember the last time I paid so little for a sit down meal with tip. The bartender was very attentive and nice.

Haven't been to Chuys in a few years and not sure why. The service was fantastic! Our server was very tentative, personable, and friendly. The food portions are huge and very well priced. Definitely get your moneys worth. If you haven't been in a while make sure to add them to your list.

Wiley provide us a great service. Food was a 10/10 like always. If you come to this location ask for Wiley to be your server it won't disappoint you.

Took a friend here. Horrible service! The waitress with brown hair and a ponytail. Never came back to ask if we needed anything. Food was out in less than 4 min as if it was microwaved. The menu so cheap... u could taste it in the food. It's tasteless! No flavor what so ever. So many Mexican restaurants around town. Skip this one!!

    It's sooooooo yummy

I've always had a good experience here. Food is always consistent, my favorite is the ponchos nachos and the crispy tacos, my husband loves the steak burrito. Service has always been good, they are usually very attentive . The absolute clincher for me is the creamy jalapeño salsa. I always get some to go. Overall great restaurant with good food and service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself can be loud during busy times, I usually prefer to sit in the bar area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So I got the meal deal a second time. The beef had a lot of gristle. The price went up, portions were less & it wasn't as good as the first time. The red salsa was super salty. The guac and cheese were good & the chicken was decent. Next time I'll try out a cheaper meal deal. Unfortunately, this one is not consistent & no longer a value as posted in the original review.

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

Not 100% sure, but I think so because they have framed photos of dogs 🐕 all over the wall inside.

Is Chuys very pricey...you get what you pay for?

I don't think it's pricey, you get a ton of food and endless free chips and salsa!

You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Not only is the quality outstanding, but the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. It's becoming harder to find restaurants that offer both amazing quality and great portion sizes, and Castillo's delivers on both. The service is just as exceptional. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and truly cares about making your experience memorable. If you're looking for a place with delicious homemade food, generous portions, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, Castillo's is the place to go. A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

This place is huge and can hold a lot of people, but I appreciate that they're not trying to cram as much people in as possible. There is ample spacing between tables and walk ways. Although it was busy, we did not wait long at all. Even the food that we ordered came out pretty quickly! We ordered the chicken fajitas for two and regular size queso. The chicken fajitas for two was enough to feed my husband, me, and our two little boys. The tortillas were sooo good! The queso was decent. It's pretty expensive for the portion that you get. I thought the fajitas were alright as well. It was good, but I still wanted to dip it into something. I believe that a good fajita doesn't require any extra sauce. haha We also got the sopapillas for dessert and it was alright as well. Overall, I would rate the food as a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. However, the main reason why I gave a 5 star is because we had an AMAZING waitress. Her name is Sarah and LET - ME - TELL - YOU -ABOUT - HER. Sarah was literally smiling and cheery the ENTIRE time. She was not only like that when she was serving us, but she was even walking around like that. She was polite, friendly, patient, respectful, and just a delight to interact with. She was on top of things, too! We never had to ask her to refill anything because she automatically did it. I also love how she placed our dishes on the table. It was symmetrical and esthetic. The restaurant was also super loud but once when she was walking away and I called out her name, SHE HEARD ME. She was very attentive. Seriously, she was awesome. Come to Gringo's, not for the food, but for Sarah! lol
