i ordered happy family had a lot of squash,oninos,celery,4 snow peas,4 broccoli, no water chestnuts some cabbage a little chicken lots of beef, 5 shrimp,2 mushrooms 3 pieces carrots, sauce was not that good on the up side i did get white rice we use to get better food but like any thing else things have went up so they cut back. read more

A good option for "fast food" Chinese food on this side of town! Our favorite is their orange chicken and fried rice--we have been making an effort to support fewer chain restaurants, and this has been our replacement when we are craving Panda Express. I hate doing bad reviews, but this is NOT the "best Chinese restaurant in the Valley". I ordered Hunan beef, pork fried rice, and house lo mein. Hunan beef is my favorite dish: chiles, garlic, ginger, beef, broccoli, and a sauce based on soy sauce and spices. Chung Ming makes it with a ton of vegetables (cabbage, squash, onion, mushrooms, broccoli) in an oily, watery sauce with little taste. Yes, it was sort of spicy, but it presents like a stew not an entree. The rest of the food was ok, but we won't use them again. read more

The amount of yummy food you get is awesome! We've been going to this restaurant since 2012 and they are still great!

My roommate wanted Chinese so I said ok. The food was hot and attractive but all of it lacked seasoning. It was VERY bland, the sweet and sour chicken was dry and hard. The won ton was also overcooked. It wouldn't take much to correct it all. It was just....tasteless. Maybe they could soak the chicken in yogurt, milk and soy sauce overnight, add some soy sauce and light pepper to the fried rice? I was disappointed. This is one of the rare places in Phoenix were it is mandatory to wear a mask. But lo and behold, I go in and see that half of their workers are either not wearing a mask or wearing it improperly. Talk about hypocritical. I ordered some takeout and the overall taste was quite average. read more

First time trying Chung Ming and if you love Chinese Food, then you're in for a delicious meal! It's restaurant style (not buffet) but it's well worth the price! Big portion plates; only downside is no soft drink machine - only cans, but they do have 2 Liter soda bottles available! Worth the price and well worth your money! I ordered the shrimp with snow peas. It was supposed to come with fried rice and an egg roll. The rice was steamed. There was NO egg roll. What I got was a big bowl of mushy bland vegetables. There may have been 6 snow peas, the rest was seriously overcooked zuchini, carrots, and cabbage sinking in what looks like dirty dishwater. They do offer a shrimp with vegetables, but that is not what I ordered. There was also only 6 shrimp. Absolutely disgusting. I will never order from this restaurant again. read more

The flavors in the orange chicken are very good. Always fresh and hot. I have gotten food here 3 times and each time it is always amazing!

What an amazing transformation! My first review is an awful one. I decided to try Chung Ming again after I heard they made some big changes. Wow. Unlike my first experience, the staff is now so friendly and kind. The place inside looks wonderfully updated and clean. And the food is absolutely delicious. BEST CHINESE FOOD. Only been in Arizona 3 1/2 years and pretty much got stuck on big hengs. This place puts them to shame. No one complaint. Started with fried shrimp and egg roll. Crisp and fresh. I love egg drop soup but some people put tofu in it. Yuk. This soup had small bits of chicken and veggies. I love spring onions in mine so I cut some up, boy did it put the soup over the top. All the entrees were delicious. Fresh, flavorful, beautiful presentation. Also the rice is 2 big scoops. They certainly aren't skimpy on the portions. We will be going baCk again I really want to try the egg for young. Even the fortune cookie was good . Definitely not one complaint. read more

AMAZING FOOD. We got a few different dishes last night and everyone of them was delicious (especially the Honey Tofu). The decor seems like a classic California Chinese restaurant and looks to be family owned. The moment I opened the food in the car to check it the BEST smell filled the whole car. Waited over a hour for our food. The bottom of the bag was full of all the sauce. The containers leaked all over everything. The crab puffs were soggy. The food was cold. When I called the manager would not do anything about it. We have ordered many times from here and this is the worst it's been. read more

I just ordered delivery from this place and the food is disgusting. I can taste heavy amounts of sugar in their food. The entrees tasted like dessert to be honest. There are very few pieces of meat. Thank goodness I tried this for lunch rather than dinner because I feel like I've wasted $22. The delivery guy handed me the bag in a way I couldn't see the spilled sauce but when I opened the bag there was sauce all over the crab puffs. Shaking my damn head! Don't bother ordering from this spot if you know what good Chinese food tastes like. THE FOOD IS DRY. They are rude and condescending, and they are petty when it comes to providing any extra of a Chinese staple -sweet and sour sauce. We ordered sixty dollars worth of food and received one cup. Called to ask why and was met with hostility. I didn't argue...I told them I will let my fingers do the talking. These guys have decent sesame chicken, but their rice is absolutely terrible with a serious lack of flavor and their delivery service is pretty terrible. For the last week we've been trying to order lunch there. They're hours on the door say they open at 11AM. We've gone 4 times a little before noon and the door is locked. Today my fiance went at 11:30 and the door was locked but there was someone in there so he knocked on the door and the guy waved him away. I wasnt feeling very well today and i wanted soup. i asked for 1/2 won ton and 1/2 egg drop soup which i order ALL The time at other restaurants and They refused. No reason why just a refusal. It's that same amount of soup just mixed. I was told "no substitutions, you pick one" very poor customer service. As far as the food, it was ok. nothing special, just ok. sweet and sour pork is all breading. u cant hardly taste the pork. Chung Ming's food is AMAZING!!!!!! Since the 80's we have been going to Abacus Inn and there food has just not been good the last couple of years....and I am not picky!!! This places food is incredible!!!! I love house fried rice and theirs is not greasy at all!!!! Delish and full of proteins and yummy bean sprouts for crunch!!!!!! I've ordered from this place many many times, for about a year now. My favorite dish used to be the advertised egg foo young...until I received it with UNCLEAN shrimp and a peice of egg foo young missing a bite!!!!! Before you ask... it was not a peice that broke off in the dish. Trust me, I searched for it, desperately! Couldn't believe it! Even got another pair of eyes involved just in case I was overlooking something. Hadn't even tasted the food (THANK GOD) because that gross shrimp was right on top which caused major suspicion. I inspected the rest and it became obvious that someone sampled my friggin dinner! Insult to injury, they yelled at me and hung up the phone when I called to complain so now after writing my first Yelp review, I now have to call my bank and dispute the charge for food I didn't eat, and reach out to the health department. Let me just say the food here is good but their delivery service sucks. Took two hours for us to get our food.

Not the best Chinese delivery/restaurant around but it is affordable. Food is average, sometimes bland sometimes ok. Hit and miss, and we've ordered here an average of twice a month for the past 3 years. Expecting high end Chinese dishes? Don't order here. The portions are decent size, sometimes. I told you it's hit and miss with these cats. Price is ok, they do charge delivery fee (they just don't advertise that they do).
