A little pricey but the food was good. They had some vegetarian options which was nice. The Cesar salad was tasty. We ordered the onion fries and they weren't what we expected. (They didn't look anything like fries but maybe they weren't supposed to. They were good but lacked seasoning.) My husband ordered the salmon fish and chips and he was pleased. This place was really good. We drove out of our way to try it out, and it was worth the drive. The burger buns are really soft and so good! Husband had the burger special, which was the bomb! I really do not understand the love so many people have of this place. Everything I ate and my coworkers ordered was very greasy and gross. But I typically eat healthier than most folks. So I am leaving a warning for those like me who are bothered by greasy food. I gave the restaurant two stars because the service was very good. We stopped here on our way to aa Ducks game. We ordered the Melt, the club, and Mac and cheese. Unfortunately everything we ordered had bacon on it (never thought I would say that). The bacon is marinated in balsamic and then glazed with brown sugar. The flavor was very strong, and not to any of our liking. It is a cute little place, and our waiter was very nice. Wow! I had lunch at Chow today. I will definitely go back. I agree with the previous reviewer, I need to try more before I give it five stars but I expect that to happen soon. I had the steak sandwich with fries. It was superb. Served open face: shaved prime rib with great seasoning on a killer slice of bread with pesto and chimichurri. Yum. One of the chefs came around to offer us a bite of bacon with caramel-- it looked and smelled great but I was too full-- half my lunch went home with me. My friend's Mac and cheese looked good too. Apparently they make all their own desserts and what we saw go by looked delicious. Easy in and easy out at the light. Great service and they were very concerned about how everything was and whether they could get us anything else. I like this place and I am definitely going to go back! read more

The best burger I have had in the Eugene area. The candied bacon is awesome. I got the filthy pig burger. The pulled pork didn't have any smokey flavor. It was spicy which overpowered the others flavors, so I couldn't really tell if the Burger part was great. The overall flavor was good though. There was no browning on the outside of the burger. It looked as though it was slow cooked. Both burgers we got were under cooked. I ordered medium but it was raw cold in middle. I will go back. want to try other burgers. I will get a plain burger next time so I can really see what the beef tastes like. read more

What amazing food!! My husband and I ate there for the first time last week. He had the Bacon Cheeseburger on Crack and I had the Melt. The food was excellent..........fresh, flavorful and the portion sizes are over the top! This is going to be our new "go to" place. Fast friendly service, clean surroundings and amazing food. The Springfield/Eugene area boasts a lot of good eats but this is right up there with the best I've had in a while. Being a transplant from the Bay Area in Cali this rates with some of the best I have anywhere. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot..........you will not be disappointed! read more

Went here with a friend and was greeted right away. Staff was very nice and helpful. The menu had so many great things to choose from. I went with the Mac Attack burger with tots. Oh my goodness it was heavenly. So much flavor I loved it. Best tots I've ever had! The waiter even brought us different dipping sauces to try at no extra charge. The burger was huge! My favorite, and only go-to, spot for lunch/dinner. Locally owned, and operated, the owner is also the cook, and man, does he have tallent. Everything is bold and flavorful, and unlike anything you've had anywhere else. The mac n' cheese is phenomenal, the burgers are giant and juicy, and all the appatizers could be whole meals. There is not a "traditional" dish in the place, and they're all the better for it. And the portion size is insane, I have never not had a takeout box when I leave. And, full bar. They make their own ginger brew, which is my favorite and perfectly spicy, and they make their own sour mix, a favorite of my husband, and perfectly frothy, as opposed to the margarita mix most places use. If you're looking for something different, in a close-knit atmosphere, this is the place for you. All of the people who work there are super friendly and personable, and make you feel like the only person in the room. They're never as busy as they should be, by quality of food standard, so you should definitely check them out. They deserve so much more recognition then they currently recieve. read more

SUPER DISAPPOINTING. I had heard good things and the pictures online looked great, but when I got my food it was literally a plate of grease. My "onion fries" had oil dripping from them when I picked them up, and my sandwich's bottom bun was completely soaked and spongy/wet with grease. I gave it back to the waiter and explained why. He said he was sorry I didn't like it and walked away. Never asked if I might like something else and charged me the $14.25 for the sandwich anyway. The service was clearly poor, and the food was gross. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't enjoy drinking grease off of their plate with a straw. UNREAL. this is one that Diners, Drive Ins and Dives needs to visit. I ordered the salmon sammy (amazing) my parents got the blt (a little sweet for their liking) and our friends got the chicken little. All were fantastic. Went here for lunch on 4/8/13 with some others from work. Lots of great-sounding choices and the place was very clean and surprisingly not crowded for lunch. I ordered the Black and Blue burger and honestly it was the best house-made burger I have ever had! The flavors of the bleu cheese and parmesean pesto in the burger were outstanding! I also got the cajun fries too. Those were pretty darned good as well. Waitstaff was great and very courteous. Always had my glass full. I'm coming back for sure! read more

Fun when reading through the menu. come here with a sense of adventure for food and you won't regret it. we ordered the black and blue,it was chef inspired comfort food. we also go the dude grilled cheese, which had peanut butter on it. the thought of peanut butter on a loaded grilled cheese was not appealing until i ate it, it was amazing. the only thing that was off for me is the fried pickles. i order fried pickles at every restaurant i see them at. the ones here were not sliced they were spears cut in half which to me was to thick ,it held the fryer heat for a long time it was like lava , but the crust on them was far above any i ever had . in my option if they were sliced they would be perfect. read more

Moving into Springfield earlier this month, the first restaurant I ate at was Chow. All I can say is, "WOW!". I've never had such a decadent sandwich and inspired beer cheese soup anywhere else. The portion sizes are large and the prices are great! The variety and uniqueness of the eclectic, yet familiar food options is amazing! I had the B.A.B. (baked brie with Granny Smith apple slaw and coke-cured bacon sandwich on Parmesan crusted bread). Absolutely, hands-down amazing food! Diners Drive-Ins and Dives needs to come here. We were told by a few folks about this place so tried out last night. From the moment we stepped inside we were greeted by a gracious and wonderful gal. We explained a sandwich (the prefontaine) - not on the menu but worth asking for. There were 4 of us so we also ordered a couple of speciality burgers and each were able to sample. Hamburgers are always sort of greasy, but when you combine that with huge servings of toppings (which could have been great in moderation) it was not good. I came up from Roseburg, to have lunch with fiends at the new Moe's Restaurant in Springfield, Oregon the home of the "Simpsons Gastro Pub" The tables where covered in burlap with butcher paper table toppers, I like it so far down home look! The menu chooses where new and exciting. We ordered soup of the day mushroom bacon chowder, a light, flavorful soup, Potachos fries covered in a jalapeno pesto, yes a must have. Our main course included a Big Pig Sandwich, melt in your mouth pork butt, sugarcoated bacon on homemade toasted bread. Helfrick hamburger made with fresh ground in house 1/2 pattie, again on home-made bread, cooked just until a thin line of pink is left, the texture and melt in the mouth tenderness was a joy. read more

DELICIOUS. .. & YUM..!!! ) a tomato Ketchup compote, onion, tomato, lettuce as couple other toppings a fresh Bun with the Cajun Tator tots. My friend had the Chicken Sandwich special with the ultimate house made bacon and garlic fries. So good!! Though I rarely write Yelp reviews, I have been meaning to write a review for Chow for a while. I only write a review when I am shocked - either when a place is empty and should be full, or when it is full and should be empty. I wonder why Chow is not more crowded. I took my son here most recently, knowing that their burgers would blow him away. We arrived just after they were supposed to have closed, but they let us in and served us with a smile. I have always found the service to be friendly, timely, and complete. The food simply speaks for itself. They spend a lot of time making their sauces; they also put together some incredible combinations of ingredients, most including bacon. Definitely my favorite burger stop in town. Their beer assortment is solid and they always seem to have a good cider on tap, too. I've tried three different burgers, as well as the pulled pork sandwich, and all have been savory. We always get the Cajun tots and spend a long time enjoying their made-from-scratch fare. read more
