Oh how I wish there were more Chop Stop locations east of Glendale. I'm always in search of a quick, simple salad that I won't pay an outrageous price for. I despise paying $15 for a mediocre bowl of lettuce. Chop Stop is fresh, fast, and delicious. I'm in love with the Asian Chop (romaine and iceberg lettuce, double roasted chicken, carrots, edamame, cucumber, wontons, in a sesame teriyaki dressing). Anytime I am in the Glendale or Burbank area I grab a salad to go. Or quite honestly, I'm constantly asking my boyfriend to pick one up for me; which he does often. With a multitude of ordering options, there's sure to be a tasty fit for any palate. There are Chop Stop creations like the Asian Chop or Santa Fe Chop to choose from, you can customize your own salad with any 6 toppings, bowls are available with the addition of lime rice, or you can turn your salad into a wrap if you desire. Catering is available. I brought a party tray of the Asian Chop to my family's Mother's Day BBQ and it was a hit. Both the Glendale and Burbank location are clean, bright, friendly and pump out orders surprisingly fast. First time at any Chop Stop location and we loved it. Excellent service from Nikki & Ryan and great chopped salads. We will for sure be coming back for some more salads as regulars in the near future. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Nikki. She was very helpful and asked us if it was our first time there. With hearing that it was, she told us how essentially ordering works and how the 1st 3 choices are the most popular ones (Menu chops or choppuritos). I ordered the chef's chop which comes with hard boiled eggs, bacon, cucumbers, tomatoes, roasted chicken and cheddar cheese. I added crispy onions to my chopped salad and this order comes with 1000 island dressing drizzled over a mixture of iceberg lettuce and spinach. I enjoyed this salad a lot. It was tasty and I loved all the ingredients. Everything tasted fresh from the greens to the egg. The chicken also wasnt dry and tough to eat. The chicken was actually flavorful and tender. I'm no expert on salad but I know I really like Chop Stop and what they do. Nikki and Ryan were both helpful with suggestions to us first timers and we appreciated that. Our salads were made quickly. Before I could sit down and get our fountain drinks, our names were being called. Also ordered an asian chop and that was also well liked. Great "CHOP" but a big "STOP" when it comes to topping portions and cost. I am hard pressed to pay $15 for a build your own salad that is 88% lettuce mix and 12% toppings. Especially when you factor in the possibility of human error. At this price, even one missed topping it really disappointing and can ruin the whole salad you're trying to build. It is too hard to catch until its too late (especially if you get take out). I was looking forward to trying this place for a while and was really disappointed yesterday. I paid extra for the chicken and avocado. The few tiny pieces of chicken that did show up were very dry and flavorless. I can totally taste the avocado in my husbands salad (which had way more toppings that could have covered the taste than mine) and so my husband walks back up to the counter check with the employee and they assure him it was in there, "just mashed up". So for the rest of my meal I was basically I was looking for any hard evidence of avocado and really didn't find ANY. It was hard to tell what's missing because everything is mostly greens and so chopped. But there was no sign of taste or texture. AVOCADO IS THICK & STICKY! I got the cilantro lime dressing which was tasted like a watery lime juice oil/vinaigrette (that was also disappointing because it wasn't listed as a vinaigrette that I noticed, I was expecting a creamy dressing.) I couldn't let it go so I asked the employee what the portion size of the avocado you get. He said HALF AN AVOCADO! I was shocked! I told him I really think that the avocado was left out of my salad. My salad is really watery and there is no evidence of the sticky texture or taste of it! So THEN the employee then offered to give me some avocado, but I declined because he should have just given it to my husband earlier and by then I was basically finished with my now very watery flavorless salad and walking out the door. I might give it another try but with the overall cost, lack of toppings and risk of human error, I am hesitant. Perhaps there may be less risk of error if you just order one of the menu salads and don't build your own. I know these things happen everywhere, but the trust has been broken. Next time I will not second guess myself or be afraid to speak up sooner for fear of "being a Karen" ! read more

If I could give this location ZERO stars I would. The staff, Cynthia and Faith (who is supposedly the manager) have the most atrocious attitude towards the customer. Do yourself a favor and absolutely get rid of the toxic energy at this location. Cynthia charged me incorrectly and I tried to explain to her that she overcharged but she kept interrupting me. All I was trying to say is that I get the same order every single time and it's not as much as she charged. She called the manager and she does nothing! Heard about this place so I decided to give it a go!! Had the cilantro onion chopurrito !! It was super delicious !! The crispy fried onions were a great twist and the salsa was also amazing !! I visited Chop Stop for the first time on Friday, February 8 and I was so very pleasantly surprised. They have a very small indoor seating area; however, a pretty nice size patio. However, I was taking mine to go. The line moved fast, and the food was made to order quickly. Salads are the specialty; however, they offer more than just salads. The staff was friendly. I ordered one of the salads on the menu (however, you can create your own), and I ordered with the dressing tossed. I love places that give you the option to toss the dressing, and they used the perfect amount in the "regular" portion. The salad was a generous size, and the prices were perfect! I've been regularly ordering from this location. Lately they have messed up my order a few times, missing ingredients, drink, dressing, etc. but i didn't make much of it. Today was the last time I will ever eat from here ever again. I hadn't eaten anything all the day, this is how I know the salad from chop stop is the culprit. I ordered a grilled salmon supreme, with cilantro lime and classic Italian dressing. An hour after eating, my stomach started to feel uneasy and started hurting really bad. By the time I got home I was in a lot of pain and discomfort, with ridiculous digestive problems. Cold sweats, diarrhea, nausea and lightheadedness. Sure enough I have food poisoning, from eating whatever it was that was bad in that salad! I'm not okay until now and I'm just hoping I don't end up at the ER because of this. Then I realized that they usually charge for bread. Mind you that she didn't even offer me a receipt and I didn't mind. Then I asked if she did charge me and she said yes. I asked "aren't you supposed to give me a refund"? Then she said tortilla strips are .75c and the bread is .99c. I said so you owe me money, right? She said if you want the .24c I can refund you very loud while her leader Anthony jumped in and went on to say that he can refund me that with no shame in front of 2 other colleagues. All 4 of them are starring at my face as if I'm asking for something free and there are customers there and everyone could hear us. I felt very embarrassed but I wouldn't let these little kids do this to me so I said give me another bag of tortilla chips and I'll pay the difference. He charged me .50c. I walked out and called to speak to a manager. They said she'll be in tomorrow. I called the next day and spoke to Joanna, she listened to what I had to say but she said "I only heard your side, I need to listen to them". I said that's fine but please give me your corporate number. She gave me 818-639-7350 and went on to explain that if I call I may get a disconnected message but keep trying and you'll get through. I googled and found the number was 818-369-7350 and I called to inform her, how embarrassing that you don't know your corporate number. So I called and reported the whole situation to Tiffany and another person called and kept on apologizing and offering me 2 free salads but I said no. This was by far the lowest low they could go. The entire store is a mess. They change employees on daily basis. TO ME THIS IS STEALING MONEY AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR RUNNING THIS KIND OF BUSINESS AND HAVING PEOPLE LIKE THOSE INVOLVED TO RUN THEIR BUSINESS. There is no rules or anything in this store, they never ever charged me for tortilla strips but Anthony said it's .75c extra. One time my Santa Fe salad was so dry even though I asked for tossed regular, when I returned they charged me .50c to add dressing while they didn't put enough. There was always small issues here and there but I never complained cause I thought they always have new people and they're still learning but this last one was unacceptable and something that I will report everywhere because they embarrassed me in front of other customers and employees for their own damn mistake. BUT something happened and now the wraps are half the size they used to be. Noticeably smaller. It's unfortunate because I like the taste but $13 for a wrap of this is absolutely unreasonable. The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. I couldnt decide what salad to get being that I was so hungry so I got 2. The Santa Fe & Mama Mia. I loved that the girl asked if Id like the dressing in my salad or on the side. Both my salads were very good but different from one another. The bowl looks kind of small at first but its a fairly large portion. I would recommend it for sure. As I was waiting for my salad I was speaking to another customer also waiting for her salad and she explained to me that the place also sells cards with which you can get 15% off every meal.
