I've been to a bunch of chipotles and this one is not one we plan on returning to. The music in the kitchen (radiohead) was so loud that it was competing with the dining room music. The young people working there all seemed quietly angry and resentful towards to customers, not a smile was seen, despite my being very polite and expressing gratitude. both the kitchen prep area and dining room were messy, dining room in need of a deep clean. When we arrived there was a short line, but the service was so slow it took awhile to have our order taken. The cashier, who wasn't busy, stood idly by while one woman SLOWLY built the orders. They were just beginning the dinner rush and already running out of protein options. So when they ran out of sofrita we left and went to another Chipotle where the team was quick and much more efficient with all of the protein selections. I frequent chipotle as a whole often. Several times a month, and it is often my preferred take out meal. That being said, this is by far the worst location I have ever been to. There is always *something* wrong. They can only take card, they can't take card, they don't have chips *unless you do a mobile order?? They don't have lettuce *unless you mobile order, they don't have chicken *unless you mobile order. One time I asked how long it'd be for more chicken and the answer was we don't know we're not making any time soon....it was 1pm, not even close to closing. The chips are always stale, the employees are never happy to be working, to be fair I think it's valid. Seems like terrible management if any. One time I was there and it was lunch rush with one employee working the line and one clearly on their lunch break. The employee on their lunch break had to go back to work to help. I'm not sure if they have a break room to escape to or not but they clearly felt uncomfortable sitting probably for the first time all day to enjoy lunch in front of a huge line of customers. I felt terrible that they felt uncomfortable enough to not finish their break. Is every other location perfect? No. No establishment is perfect, but this one blatantly terrible. read more

I usually have good experiences at Chipotle, but this location was disappointing. I ordered online and arrived 5 minutes earlier than the estimated pickup time. The food was not ready at the estimated time, which was fine. However, after we opened the food, items were missing from two out of the three plates. this location is a constant disappointment. i repeatedly have gotten the wrong meat in my order or the wrong size for chips through the app. recently i picked up an order with burnt chicken and the chips were disgusting, chewy, undercooked, and covered in oil. i have been let down by this location so many times, i just need to remember its not worth it to try again. the turnover of staff and their attitudes makes me wonder if the staff know how to prepare food like other locations, bc it seems no one works there long enough to be trained and the newest hires are training other new hires. i love chipotle, but this place is not it. read more

Pretty foul if you ask me. Not a clean table, surface, or floor in sight. Either over 5 employee here you'd think it would be somewhat cleaner and the food would at least be warm. 2 bowls, 2 drinks and a side of chips for $30, I would at least like to eat it somewhere where I'm not gunna question if I get food poisoning. I arrived mid afternoon thinking to miss the lunch rush and get ahead of the dinner rush. I was initially excited to see that there was not a single customer present in the dining room, yet nearly all the tables were still dirty and the team member that was on the floor seemed more concerned with changing light bulbs than the sanitation of the restaurant. As I approached the counter, I made sure contact with two different employees, one attending to the grill and one busying themselves with a clip board. Mind you, that of all three team members present, not a single one has to this point acknowledged my presence. As I stood at the counter, the associate trending the grill, again made eye contact, said nothing, and walked away. The individual with the clipboard continued to glance in my direction, also not actually acknowledging my presence and after the third time making eye contact, also walked away towards the back. After two decades in the hospitality industry, I have never be so blatantly ignored. I fully understand that multi taking is a constant part of the job, but even the most junior of staff can manage to say hello, acknowledge the guest and still manage to hold their clipboard/ tongs. The obvious lack of leadership and zero accountability will do nothing but further contribute to an endless decent into complacency and a lackadaisical work ethic. I may try again in a month or so to see if anything has changed, but in the mean time, I would advise anyone considering this location to look elsewhere. read more

Order number 81G-WA8. Date: 10/24/24: I arrived 5 minutes before quoted time. Store was in a dinner rush, but I only saw 1 employee working (E1 will be my shorthand for this person) and a group of employees in the dining area on break. E1 was doing well alone, but no one was working ToGo. E1 checked in with me and got the name of my order. The people who walked in right before me were the end of the rush. Once they were all sat and eating, everyone else clocked back in, and it was my quoted time; 7:50. I then waited 15 more minutes before getting my order. All the fresh employees did not communicate what they were doing and E1 had to stop everyone to try and sort out what was happening. E1 told a new customer "we are out of Brisket and [something else]". The person immediately next in line was told 'The Brisket is being cut right behind me now, it'll be up soon' by a different employee while the person who was denied brisket was right there having their burrito topped. I figured that my order would be fine since no one had said anything about brisket to me, and because the people who arrived right before me didn't have issues with their brisket. 2 more new guests get served while 1 employee is slowly getting Togo orders ready. My order gets up 15 minutes late and the employee who prepared it hands the order to me directly. Once I'm home, we start to eat and there is no brisket. No substitution either. They just skipped the (more expensive) meat without a word, looked me in the eyes, handed me the order and walked away as if it wasn't their problem. I commented to E1 while I was at the store and said that I wished that I hadn't ordered pickup since I would have been right behind that group and would have been out at the estimated time. I also commented to a different employee after I received my food that E1 was working more efficiently by themselves 'while you were all on lunch' and that they needed to step up. I really hate that there is more to write, but the place was understandably messy since there was only 1 person working when I arrived and they were in a dinner rush. Once everyone else came back to work, no one cleaned anything. More than that, ever since employee that touched a patron's order slid their order through the mess. All the side cups that were poured were sloppily poured and messy and all the bowls that were finished had food sticking out of them when the lids were put on, so they were also messy. The worst order that was handed to a customer involved the person served right before my order was ready. Order was 1 burrito that was made and wrapped in foil and once it was paid for E1 slid it across the counter, through guacamole, rice, and other random ingredients. The customer picked up the burrito and turned it over to check out the mess since he watched it happen. The customer had a large guac-green ball of gross that covered 1/3 of the foil on that side. He looked up to say something but E1 had already turned around and walked away. This store did a bad job tonight for more people than just me. Give these employees a reason to care. Make the job valuable to them. Incentivize good work. I'm pissed at the job that they did, but the fact that no one really cared at the end of the day, that's systemic. That isn't an employee-attitude issue anymore, that's a culture issue and the culture of the workplace is set by the people who run it. General manager, store owner/ franchisee, Chipotle as a company, do better for your employees and take care of them. If you take care of them, they will take care of your customers. Note: This encounter was 1-star, but the normal interaction at this store is not a 1-star. This is the worst location in town... Never had a problem using mobile order at the other chipotle's but both times I've eaten at this location, the greens in my bowl are so wilted and gross that you have to pick it all out for the bowl to be edible. I also found a black hair in my food and ended up having to just throw the entire thing away (super upsetting considering the price). Tried to resolve issues on the app and they wouldn't remake the bowl, give me a refund, or even give a coupon for next time. Save yourself some trouble and go to one of the other locations :( read more

I like Chipotle- it's a nice change from normal fast food and I love the salad option. But this location NEVER gets orders right to go. I never had an issue going in because I could see them making it- but with Covid, we've been relying a lot of delivery and app ordering and pickup. We've ordered twice now recently, and both were missing items and were wrong. We typically order the salads- and the app and website both have the salad dressing as a selectable option. Yet this location can never seem to include it. This last order I didn't pick it up, and forgot to tell my fiancé to double check. So sadly, we have dry salads again. Its a small thing, but that makes it worse. The dressing makes the salad- if someone orders a a salad and chooses the one single dressing you offer, include it. If they can't handle that insanely simple task (especially since it's auto selected on the website so it should be more common to include the dressing than to not), how can they handle more complex things like properly cooking meat, following food safety or cleaning guidelines? Chipotle is fine- but we will probably try the coburg location next time (it's been awhile but I never had issues there, even on to go) read more

I've eaten at three Chipotle locations around Eugene/Springfield and this location is BY FAR the worst. I ordered a bowl with rice, beans and chicken and received one spoonful of rice, about a half spoonful of beans and just under a spoonful of chicken...far less than at any other location. When I politely asked for a little more, I was told I could have more if I paid extra. On top of which, the prices were higher than other locations, which I didn't realize was possible. I will NEVER be spending my money here again. Last week my husband and I visited this location and we were appalled by the service we received. Aside from the restaurant being filthy, the workers were EXTREMELY rude! My husband is new to the US and he just kindly asked the girl putting in our order what she suggested because it was his first time at Chipotle and she replied with "I don't eat here." That was the first red flag. We brushed it off and finished our orders. She was 0 help to a potential new customer. Then, when we were paying for our food, we asked for a fountain drink, because when ordering everything she gave us a coke from the fridge. I made sure and told her again, and asked if they had fountain drinks. She just said yes and continued to ring us up way we thought was the fountain drink. When we asked for the cup, she gave an attitude. We respectfully asked her what the difference was so we could pay. She slammed the cup on the table, rolled her eyes, and left as we were trying to communicate with her. There was a long line behind us by this time but I refused to leave the line until she came back. She kept repeating "I GAVE YOU WHAT YOU WANTED DIDNT I" no, you didn't... in fact that is why we were in this situation because you didn't give us what we wanted in the first place. I asked for her name, and she said she didn't have to disclose that information. Fair enough, we will just call you blond teenager with an attitude problem that needs to find another job that includes not communicating with humans. We will just call you that. Anyways, I asked for her manager, explained how rude she was for walking off as we were trying to be respectful and pay the difference for our drink! Then went and sat down to eat, because obviously we were starving. The manager came up to us after a while, and apologized to us. He was very respectful but I wish his employees had the same demeanor because then maybe they would have reoccurring customers. They were 20 minutes late for opening, then told us we had to do a online order. We waited like 20 minutes for our food. Then when the order came out one of the orders was wrong. We did not order guac on one of our bowls, yet it was put on it. The rice was chewy with the extra crunch to it. The whole meal had no flavor. Also one of the employees was on their phone in the back. The ambience is what you expect from a chipotle, but this one had all the chairs up on tables like they were going to mop. These are hard times and one must appreciate how some restaurants are trying to stay open - for their customers - for their employees. With limited service because take-out or delivery are the only means to provide meals you'd think that, at least, the quality of food would be good and that the preparation of such would be better. Today, officially, is the last time we order from the Gateway mall Chipotle. I have had them forget the quesadilla in a kid's quesadilla meal; I've had them give us the wrong ingredients in a delivery order; and today, I had my burrito bowl served with someone's foot-long black hair in it. As a blonde, I know that it's not mine. Honestly... Don't they instruct their employees to wear hairnets? How TF does that even happen? Since I ordered online, the restaurant was super great about quickly refunding my money. My problem is not with the company, but with this specific location. Eat at your own risk.
