We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. That's always a plus in my book. We couldn't help but notice the decor when we walked in. Very nice, almost like we were in Mexico. The host that seated us brought our water, chips and salsa, which the salsa was very good. The chips were fresh and warm. I always order the pork tamales as they never disappoint. It came with rice and beans. I got one tamale and I still couldn't finish my lunch. Big hefty portions. The price wasn't bad at all for us 4. It averaged to about $15 a piece, which is great for the size of the portions. If you're in the area, or feel like going for Mexican food, here's your spot to try. read more

I met friends for dinner tonight. It was really good. The wait staff was so pleasant and the service was very good. I loved that there were plenty of tables and booths to choose from. We actually asked to be switched from a booth to a table and they were very accommodating! The overall dining experience was great. read more

This is kinda your typical Mexican place with a million options to choose from lol. I went with the Mexican pizza because I had had it at another restaurant and enjoyed it, I did like the other restaurants version better but this one was still yummy. I got a mango margarita on the rocks and it was very good! The waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was kind of loud in there but we were also with a large group so that probably didn't help. Over all of I'm in the area I might be back but it probably isn't my first choice. Added some updated pictures of he menu because it is hard to find online. read more

We decided to stop at this restaurant as a last resort. Our favorite restaurant ever is Xtapa in Veneta, Oregon. It's a long drive from our house, but it's always pleasant drive and the best food ever! So we don't mind driving far for excellent service and fabulous food. It's a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The food is outstanding. But they had a sign up on the door that they had a flood emergency, and were closed for the next 2 days. I just wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse and just sit down and relax, but my husband had his heart set on Mexican food. So I looked at Yelp reviews & found this restaurant Lis Dos Amigos Hacienda was near our home. Well, it was excellent! The prices were incredible. Once the pandemic was over nobody lowered their prices at restaurants we've noticed. But they had a special that day and for $8.95. You got 2 enchiladas of your choice of meat with rice & beans. I got one cheese enchilada, and one chili Colorado enchilada. The cheese enchilada was 5 stars out of 5 stars excellent! The chili Colorado enchilada was 4 out of 5 stars. The only reason it was 4 stars is because our favorite restaurant is better on the Colorado sauce and the meat. But had I not ever tasted the other restaurant, that would've been 5 stars for me too. My husband got delicious, shredded beef nachos with sour cream and guacamole included in the price. He was one happy man! He actually said he loved it there. I think we're going to be repeat customers because it's local, affordable and I love that they have lunch specials at such a great price of $10 and under. If you're on the fence, give it a try but stick to something simplistic just to make sure. Like a burrito, nachos or enchilada combo plates. I heard the hard taco shells are plain and taste like Ortega store bought but do try softshell corn tacos. But I would try the cheese enchiladas for sure! Really delicious! read more

No refill offered on our drinks. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. The rice was so old that there were hard clumps of it on my plate. I ordered shredded beef taquitos and received 6 fried squares that were flat, one of which had no meat in it. Completely empty. My husband ordered 2 shredded beef tacos and 1 ground beef after being told they didn't have asada. He received 3 ground beef tacos. We won't be back. read more

My mother in law was looking for a local Mexican restaurant we found Los Amigos. The restaurant is off the beat and path off of valley river area. Los Dos Amigos was very busy, they got us seated right away. They have a bar area and plenty of booths and table seating. The noise level was low as busy as they were. They brought us chips and salsa very quickly. Diego was our waiter he was super friendly and efficient. We had lots of extra requests, he was very patient. The menu is huge, so many choices for everyone to choose from. It was my mother in laws birthday. She loved her meal, she had shrimp fajitas. She really enjoyed her meal and her gigantic margarita. We had a combo meal, chicken taco with a cheese enchilada, we also ordered a chimichanga meal and a chipotle burrito. The meal sizes are huge, plenty of rice and beans. The food had great flavor. Everyone was happy with their meal. One thing that I would say, it would be nice to have just a bit more alcohol in the adult drinks for the price of the drinks. Came last night with some friends. Greeting right away and sat down immediately. No wait around 630pm. We got served chips and salsa, & waters after a minute of sitting with menus. Then we waited quite a while for a server to come and ask our drink order. Got ordered and then waited even longer to order food. Finally came, then it felt like forever to get our food. No offers on drink refills. Was surprised with how slow they were and lots of servers there. Our food was cooked well and tasted delicious. Have gone there twice. Once my friend paid. Once I paid. The time I paid I was "overcharged" compared to my friend even though we both ordered the same things both times. I requested to speak with a manager but I never heard from them. Food and service were good both times actually. But communication was bad and I feel like I was taken unfair advantage without being given the information I needed to make a correct choice. Beware. Prices on menu are not accurate and up to date. This is our go to spot for family style Mexican food. We usually take out unless it's a special occasion. Enchiladas mariscos are a favorite of my mother in law who is very spice sensitive and my wife and son usually get the enchiladas de queso dinner and chicken taquitos appetizer. I usually get the burrito carne asada. They have a full bar with great drinks and Mexican beers on tap. The only thing I didn't like was the 3% credit card fee. Their high chairs were so insufficient that my son fell straight through because the buckle wasn't secure and his head got stuck which was the only thing keeping him from falling on the floor. Addressed this with the "manager/owner" who just smile and mocked me while I expressed my concern. Always looking for authentic Mexican food having lived in Tucson, Az. but this was disappointing. Service was slow on a Monday lunch and the beef burrito and chicken taco were just "ok".. nothing special , price was reasonable. I've had both their Margaritas on the rocks and blended now and both had less than a modicum of tequila so they were flavorless. I'm glad they've survived and they seem to have a strong following but not up to our standards for a good Mexican meal out in Eugene. My son and I popped in here on Halloween. Probably not the beat night to go. It started out quiet so we were able to have a conversation. As the minutes ticked by families cane in to wat with little children and we were not able to hear each other over the table. So we rushed to leave. The service was good. Very touch and go as they were getting busier. The food was good. I had traditional steak fajitas and my son had the taquitos. The taquitos dinner plate had open "air" spaces inside the deep fried taquitos, where I would think there would have been ingredients. So they were not very filling for him. The fajitas were good but there were more onions than any other vegetable. Not a bad dinner. Prices were decent, just picked the wrong night to be able to have a dinner conversation or enjoy ourselves. read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now. I'm aging myself my saying that. Lol. It's always been pretty decent. It's nothing special, but it's not terrible either. They make pretty good tortilla soup. But past that, it's pretty standard and basic Americanized Mexican food. Service has always been good. Again, very standard and basic. I've never had less than a 3 star experience, and never a 5 star experience either. My single biggest problem with this restaurant is it's nothing exciting. Nothing stands out, either good or bad. In my mind, that just screams boring. I tend to forget it's here because it's not my first choice in Mexican food. The restaurant and the bathrooms are always clean and very neat. But there's a distinct lack of personality in here. Again, the word boring comes to mind. Would I return? Yes, although not in the foreseeable future. It's difficult to find edible Mexican food in Eugene, but they do a decent job.. The servers and managers are very friendly and they always get our phone orders correct. I wish they had online ordering available, but it's not a dealbreaker. The food is consistent. We like the chicken carnitas, the tamales, the tacos and the rice. It's not authentic Mexican, but it's palatable and that's hard to find here. Also, the prices are reasonable. It's a good place to go when you need to fill up and be confident that it will taste good, albeit not great. It's a go to when we need a fast dinner that everyone can agree to. My family and I have been coming to Los Dos for many years. I recently ate there with my family, there was about 10 people, so a fairly large party. I felt like the staff treated my group like it was a burden. The gentleman who was setting our table was incredibly rude. The waiter was obviously bothered by my group size. The restaurant was not close to busy, so I just don't get why the staff had a disposition with me bringing my family in to dine. Even with this sub par service I did tip them well. We have been eating here for years, and we keep coming back. Each and every time we are greeted with a friendly smile and welcoming greeting. We are promptly seated and the chips and salsa are delivered and keep flowing until you cannot eat anymore. If you order a soda, it will be promptly refilled as soon as you finish. Our food is always delivered hot and fresh, and in a very timely matter. The waitstaff seems to always help one another, as if they see you need something, they are right on it without waiting for your server.
