My husband and I tried to go to lunch at Tacovore today because we had a rare afternoon alone together. Upon entering, we only were able to find high table seating on metal, backless stools and one low seater booth. I am physically unable to sit on those high stools due too balance issues because I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 16 years now. I may look " normal" while sitting still but my mobility and balance are an ongoing struggle in my life and has robbed me of so much. My husband got us waters then got in line when i noticed a sign on the table saying to please order before getting a table. My husband was already in line and ready to order and pay for our food. Less than a couple of minutes of me sitting there I was approached by a blonde staff member and she touched the table and asked me if I had someone in line to order. I replied that I did. She then told me that there's a long line building up and that I would need to leave the table because we hadn't yet placed an order. I explained to her that I am disabled ( even though I should not have to even do that ) and that I'm physically unable to sit at the high tables. That the only available low seats, inside and outside, were all taken other than this one booth. She then repeated what I had just told her and then asked again if I could only sit at the low tables, to which I replied yes. I was then told that I needed to leave the table and could go sit on a bench by the door and wait there and that the rules are for everyone regardless of the situation. I was so embarrassed and shocked that I started to tear up and told her that we would leave and went to motion to my husband that we had to go. As soon as we got to the car I started to cry and he was asking what was going on. He was so upset that he went inside to talk to the manager. He explained everything that happened and that I'm disabled and there was nowhere else for me to sit and eat. She apologized and said I could make a reservation to come back later for a low table. He told them no and that I was already embarrassed and crying. I'm trying to figure out how, since there was an open table that accommodated my needs and I was there, why this was such an issue. There was plenty of seating open but the tables were tall. What if there's another person unable to order for themselves because of a disability or they're elderly etc. ? Maybe make all tables low tables if a rule like that is being implemented? The business was happy to take our money but wouldn't give ea place to sit and eat. On a good note, we wound up going to Laughing Planet and had not only excellent service but really good food. I got the Korean BBQ Bowl with chicken, which they happily subbed for me, and it was so fresh and good. I really loved the quick pickles that came on it and would recommend it to anyone to try. read more

I've Been Here many times at least once a week. Can't tell you how many times as there is always a line to get in but it goes somewhat quickly. You can order your margarita house special is my favorite. Always good and drink it while your waiting to give your order. They do have outside seating but I always manage to get a booth or table. My 1st time here, I've heard great things about this place and I was finally able to try it. I loved the rustic atmosphere, but it was still very clean. The people that work there were very helpful when we had questions about the different tacos. They brought the food to our table, and cleared items when we were done with them. The place was busy most of the time we were there, but there were always some empty tables . So we stayed several hours just chatting after our meal. They never made us feel rushed. The tacos I had were the grilled chicken and the pork carnitas. The carnitas had the most amazing flavor. I'll probably get those again for sure. The chicken was great as well. My go-to in town for a good bite to eat. The rotating herbivore special is always top notch. They use everything from sweet potatoes, kale, brussels sprouts, braised greens, etc. with vegan ranch or chipotle sauce. It never disappoints! Definitely a popular spot in Eugene. If you sit by the garage door, you'll be fascinated by the drivers who are attempting to leave the parking lot. Therefore, park on the street! Love the variation of sauces. I've been to the location in Portland, but I was impressed by the quality of food here. The tofu and chorizo were my favorite. I wished the chips were less salty which was my only complaint and wished there was more guacamole, but otherwise very delicious and worth stopping by. I'm really pissed off with Tacovore and their customer service. My wife and I went there today and sat at a table to look at the menu before ordering. That's when we saw a sign saying order first before sitting at a table. My wife has a disability and can't sit at high tables or stand for prolonged periods so I told her not to worry and I got in line to order (planned on ordering 6 tacos and some drinks). While I was in line a server came up to my wife and told her she can't sit at a table until we order. My wife told her about her disability and the server pointed at a bench by the door and said you can sit there until you order. She was so rude to my wife that she walked out crying. Counter service with table drop offs are my jam! I was recommended the kale salad by my girlie and I went in just to try that but ended up trying 2 tacos also. Tacovore is one of my go-to spots for tacos in Eugene. While the tacos can be a bit pricey, each one is a decent size and definitely satisfying. The place is almost always busy, and sometimes the line even stretches outside the door, which shows how popular it is. Their margaritas are delicious. I get one every time I go, and they never disappoint. One downside is the tiny parking lot. It's a hassle to get in and out, so I usually skip it and just street park. This time, I got the Carne Asada and the Old E, which were both delicious. They don't automatically give you salsa on the side, but you can go up and grab your own, which I actually like since there are a bunch of options to choose from. Awe man! Was really looking forward to some good tacos today. Just moved here from SD, heard about this place from a few people and decided to check it out. The carne asada taco needs to be re evaluated and turned into a "smoked steak bbq taco" with bbq sauce, something pickled and slaw. The meat was SO smokey it didn't melt into traditional carne asada MX flavors. I can tell it was quality, but the flavors clashed in a major way. Overall, my main feedback is the tortillas. They were flavorless. I don't want to sound harsh, but the worst tortillas I think I've ever tasted. These masked the flavor of what was inside the taco instead of add to it. I got a fork and ate my chicken and shrimp tacos without the tortilla and the flavors/balance were there! Tortilla absolutely messed it up. Get a new corn tortilla, please. I'm sure your distributor has other options that would optimize your flavors instead of mask them. Service was great, waitress was lovely. I visited Tacovore for a quick dinner on a Wednesday and was surprised by a short line to order. There can be a long line during busy times. I ordered the Herbivore taco which had fried asparagus; the seafood taco special containing a miso glazed rockfish; a cod taco from their regular menu; and an order of chips and salsa. I loved the fried asparagus taco and considered it the best overall. The cod was also delicious. The miso glazed rockfish with gochujang aioli was a little underwhelming. I think the lack of texture also contributed. For a special, it wasn't my favorite. I left quickly after I was finished as it was very loud despite only half the seating being filled. This is not a great environment for quiet conversations or for those hard of hearing. If you want great tried and true regular menu items and a quick meal, this is your place! Overall, I am a Tacovore fan but now that the weather is colder I will keep in mind the loud environment before I dine in. read more

Came here on my vacation, since it's my uncles favorite spot and the name sounds fun. We parked on the street since they have parking but it's limited. Once you walk in you immediately stand in line so start looking at the menu. You go up and order/pay for your food and then they give you a number and they bring your food and drinks (if it's beer or a mixed drink). You get your food and then you get to start enjoying it. The vibe of the place is modern...(I don't want to say hipster) but modern, small, fun place. Very nice spot for a casual lunch or dinner! We went for a family birthday. The employees were very kind and helpful and the food was great. My only complaint was that the calamari taco was really soggy, but the taste was good! Tacovore also has a great selection of different hot sauces. We had fun trying all of the different flavors. The pork was absolutely phenomenal, Probably some of the best I've ever had. The music made it a little hard to have a conversation if you were further down the table, but it is tolerable and at least they play good music.
