We don't make it over to this area very often but we like to stop by Lupita's when we do! We ate in today for lunch. I like the blanda. I like that it has refried black beans with guacamole (and no cheese!). My kiddo got the bean and cheese burrito (always her favorite). My husband got a taco plate that came with rice and beans. You order at the counter and they bus the tables. They even gave us complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was very fresh tasting and not spicy so all three of us enjoyed it! I love Tacos. Especially the ones made like Mexican street tacos. These were pretty good. I order the Tres Amigos... and ordered each of the three tacos with different meat to try them out Chorizo - tasty and a nice portion Carnitas - good, and well marinated Chicken - a little dry, but a nice flavor. Refried beans - tasty Rice - very basic but ok Salsa - nice flavor Had a Jarritos Tamarindo to drink... can't go wrong with that. Wow, we love it here. The food is so fresh and handmade very authentic. Made corn and flour tortillas. Fast friendly service. The location is easy to find with ample parking since it's located in a strip mall. As others have stated, Lupita's is in a strip mall close to North Eugene high school. It does look like much from the parking lot, but it is clean and I was greeted upon entering. My family and I all got different things. I got the 3 amigo street taco plate with different tacos, rice and beans, came with a dollop of guacamole. Others ordered the carne asada plate, enchilada plate, chimichanga and another street taco plate. After we each took our first bite, all said, we are coming back here. Delicious. Not great food to be honest. Really bland. The atmosphere is pretty unclean. Unsafe parking lot; Lots of homeless and drug addicts around. Inside the restaurant there were big black flies EVERYWHERE. They kept landing on our food as we attempted to eat, which was GROSS! I definitely don't recommend this place. The customer service is also extremely lacking. My friend ordered one hard shell taco and one soft shell, she received two hard shell. When we pointed out the error, the worker didn't offer to correct it and instead told my friend that she could PURCHASE an ADDITIONAL taco to be made instead of swapping out for the one that was made in error. She was pretty rude and obviously couldn't care less about the customer. If you're looking for quality Mexican food- Tio Pepe is THE bomb! Go there instead! read more

First time visit mostly because of the reviews. What a disappointment both in terms of service as well as food. - Ordered street tacos, taco salad with a beer and water. Male at the counter promised to bring the beer immediately along with chips and salsa - Several groups both in front and in back of us received their orders. No beer or chips and salsa - Order finally came. No napkins, beer or chips and salsa. Asked the lady who delivered the food for all three. - After several minutes, walked up to counter and asked for all three. Napkins were given with promises to immediately bring out the other two. - Several minutes later, late brings out salsa with no chips and no beer. Asked for third time and after several more minutes beer delivered. Never got the chips. - Tacos were cold, dry and tasteless. - Restaurant was not busy entire time. First time, only time. read more

A 5? No ambiance with simple decor and good music in background, but the 5 is for the food and service. Went with a carne asada Torta with a side of a very nice hot sauce. The bread was fresh as were the ingredients. Added a side cheese enchilada with a delicious thick verde sauce. All were very good and I'll come back. read more

First visit so I kept it simple just to try their meats. Ordered two Lupita's Tacos, 1 pollo and 1 carnitas. They also offer street tacos. Clearly the tortillas are hand made and are perfect texture, not too thick but still hold up well through every bite! The pork was seasoned perfectly, lean (no fat/gristle) and super moist! The same for the chicken. The amount of meat in the taco was generous but not overkill! Topped with house made pico de gallo and a dab of guacamole. Served with a small cup of green sauce which was delicious drizzled on the tacos! I'll be back to try more menu items very soon!! read more
