Dropping off my son st OU and had a motel room a few miles from Lupita's and decided to try it after reading the reviews. Didn't disappoint as the food was authentic and made to order. I had a chili relleno and chicken enchilada which were fantastic. My son had the blanda burrito which filled him up! The green chili was tasty and the red sauce on my relleno was rich with just enough heat. Friendly staff served the small dining room and I will be back next time I'm in Eugene. read more

We drive by here all of the time, and never realize this place is even here. I forgot I had even been here before because I have posted pics from a few years ago, and didn't even remember it. I must have been next door tanning, and stopped in really quick for a bite. The location itself is not too bad, the only bad thing is the signs from the street. You may never know it is here. It had a few customers while we were dining, but not packed enough to where there was no seating. The chips, and salsa we had were mediocre. I had to add salt... I hate adding salt! Pepsi products come as fountain drinks, you can get coke in a bottle. I had the beef enchiladas with green sauce. They were really good. My guy had the Street tacos. He really liked them, and is really happy that we have an indoor taqueria to get street tacos that taste decent that is just down the street from us. We usually have to go to the taco carts for great street tacos. I'm pretty sure we will be back. read more

There's a lot of crappy Mexican food in the Eugene area, but Lupitas has come to our rescue! Overall, their food is great and always hits the spot - we've had a variety of their burritos and tacos mostly (chicken, carnitas, seafood, blanda, etc). They are always so nice and accommodating to substitutions, like if we want to add cabbage instead of lettuce or Oaxaca cheese instead of Monterey. We've only eaten food from outside our house twice in the past year, since the pandemic, both times take out from Lupitas because they are just that good. read more

Tried lupitas today for a taco craving. the staff recommended the Lupitas taco- and said both the Asada and chicken were good choices. I can't disagree. The tortilla was homemade, and both meats were good. The taco has a tasty pico and a good amount of guacamole, and they include a lime- which I love. I prefer a little more salt, but that's easy enough to add to taste. Ill definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu. read more

I've been grabbing takeout from Lupitas throughout COVID. Easy, quick, safe, inexpensive and real tasty. I haven't had street tacos this good since I was in Texas. I've ordered other items off the menu in the past and give those high marks, too. Also, a great selection of Jarritos, including my favorite, grapefruit. But we stopped at Lupita's(on Silver) a couple of days ago. It was excellent. I've wasted 10 years craving good Mexican food. I had Carnitas. It came with rice & beans. The carnitas were the star! A huge serving of tender chunks of pork. Absolutely delicious! I poured the salsa over the top & WOW!! I found my new place to regularly get Mexican food!! This place is great. Everything is homemade. Good quality ingredients and freshly made. I have driven past a bunch of times but glad I finally tried it. I love, love love this place! The service is awesome, the food is great, authentic and the prices are fabulous! There is one guy (I forget his name) that seems to run the whole front end. He's a doll! He's always so kind, and friendly. The tacos are very inexpensive and tasty! The carnitas is to die for; great flavor and they make the effort to get rid of those pesky chunks of fat you get everywhere else. I keep trying to get them to sell it by the pound so I can take it home for a taco party. No luck on this yet LOL. Their sauces and tortillas are all home made. I stumbled upon Lupitas through Yelp as it was one of theost popular places in the area. It's a inconspicuous restaurant in a plaza by the freeway and very unassuming. I ordered a carne asada burrito ($7.5) and it was massive. Being from LA, I am a bit spoiled, but the burrito does hit the spot where you need it and will keep you full for a long time. The carne is a tad dry and wish they put some more diced tomatoes to add some acidity but def get extra hot sauce since that was tasty and adds to the burrito. Overall a decent spot for mexican fare. Lupita's tacos are the best tacos we've ever eaten. I tried one each of the chicken and fish tacos. My friend ordered a carne asada taco and a chorizo, taco. He was thrilled. So was I. I was a little confused by the menu. The street tacos at the bottom of the menu are the same size as Lupita's tacos listed at the top of the menu but the Lupita tacos have the fillings that make each bite extra delicious. It does not look like a full service restaurant when you pull in, but this is some of the best Mexican food I have had in this state. Everything is fresh and handmade. Absolutely delicious. I lived in San Diego the last year and a half, and am also Mexican, and have been having a hard time finding good Mexican food since being back in Oregon. This isn't good it's great (!!) no frills, Mexican food how it's meant to be! Soft tortillas, delicious chicken/carne asada/carnitas and yummy fresh salsa. I have eaten lunch here a dozen times or more. Most of the time I am served by Camillo (sp?) who is a charming young man working with his parents to make this place the success it is. Disclaimer- I am not a Mexican food aficionado- in fact I tend to dislike the emphasis on rice and refried beans that so many American Mexican places seem to feature in their dishes. Everything here is fresh and many items are house-made. The corn tortillas, the sauces, etc. I "never" pay for chips and salsa, but I do here. Their chips are homemade and the salsa is the best I have ever had anywhere. I typically get the tacos Lupita, chicken, which are $3 each. Two of those is enough for lunch for me, and they are exceptional- certainly the best I have had in Oregon. I have wandered into a few other dishes such as a burrito without the tortilla (I don't believe it is house-made), and they have proven flexible to accommodate that preference. What's more, though I haven't had dinner here, I did have a house-made margarita in the late afternoon- outstanding. No mix- made from scratch. Great food, friendly service, and wonderful prices. If you see the reviews I've previously posted to Yelp, you would know that I am fair and NEVER have given a 1 star. I'm upset that I have to do that for Lupita's Tacos. I heard good things about this place and was optimistic about the food. First, they gave me the wrong order, I attempted to call several times acter I got home and found out the food was not what I had ordered, and after they finally answered, the man on the other line was EXTREMELY disrespectful. So that was the end off that call. I've never dealt with that kind of response from a restaurant without even allowing me to say why I was even calling in the first place. Food was unsalted anyhow, and they may have good food still, but not from my experience. read more
