The tacos are amazing, especially the adobada! All their meats are perfect and flavorful. Good service from nice people, too.

If you see the reviews I've previously posted to Yelp, you would know that I am fair and NEVER have given a 1 star. I'm upset that I have to do that for Lupita's Tacos. I heard good things about this place and was optimistic about the food. First, they gave me the wrong order, I attempted to call several times acter I got home and found out the food was not what I had ordered, and after they finally answered, the man on the other line was EXTREMELY disrespectful. So that was the end off that call. I've never dealt with that kind of response from a restaurant without even allowing me to say why I was even calling in the first place. Food was unsalted anyhow, and they may have good food still, but not from my experience. read more

I hesitate to give this Mexican restaurant a strong positive review but they need to be known in the Eugene area for the "best" Chile Relleno I've had since we moved back to Oregon from Tucson, Az. I just don't want the place crowded but I now see many other positive 4-5 star ratings and I can only speak to this one item now but there will be many more other items in the not too distant future. The Lupita's tacos are legit. I got one chicken and one pork each costing just $3. They come with Pico de Gallo, guacamole, cabbage, cilantro, & onions. The meat seasoning on both were outstanding. I personally liked the pork best. The corn tortilla on this one is made in house. I also ordered a traditional taco with the beef. It was not bad but does not hold a candle to the Lupita's tacos. The corn tortilla on this one is not house made and it does not come with guacamole or Pico de Gallo. It's also much smaller. I will defiantly coming back for more. read more

Visiting in Eugene and found this little gem of a restaurant. Food was fantastic. Chips came out hot, food had good flavor. Margarita was way better than I expected! To top it off the two young men working there were friendly and attentive. Definitely will be back! read more

Very fresh ingredients and HOMEMADE! I ate in, and had the Blanda. Excellent. It was so good that I ordered a couple of Tamales to go just in case I got hungry later. Well, the Blanda was so filling that I didn't eat the tamales...until just now, nearly 24 hours later! heated gently in my micro wave.....umm umm good! Actually, best tamales I've ever had. Another hidden gem tucked away on River Ave. It's clean, the food is good and the service is worthy of going back. Seems a bit expensive, but it's a small owner operated business so you're supporting a local family & I like that. After reading all of the great reviews on Yelp, I made a spur of the moment decision one day at lunchtime and headed to Lupita's. My boyfriend and I ordered the three taco plate with beans and rice on the side. It came with chips and salsa. It was a weekday so the place was pretty quiet since we were there a little after the lunchtime rush. The person who waited on us was friendly and answered all of our questions. The tacos came out really quick and tasted great! I left a star off because the beans and rice were very bland and barely warm. The tacos were great, the meat was juicy and seasoned well. I want to try their burritos next time! I'm glad I found this place on Yelp because I never would have found it otherwise. It sits back from the main road next to a tanning salon in a quiet strip mall. read more

Best enchilada plate in town. Fresh and delicious chips and salsa. You can't go wrong.

1. We ordered fajita steak, Carne Asada, fish taco and kid quesadilla and it took 30 minutes for us to get our food and there's two more table there. 2. The $ fooled us. An order of guacamole and chips is $7:50 and each entree only comes with two small size flour tortillas and a side or tortillas is $2.50. 3. The server is just short and rude with attitude. She doesn't make us feel welcome. We couldn't even keep a menu with us on the table while we were waiting for extra family members because she said she didn't want us to make the menu dirty. It's not one of those mom and pap friendly dining experience you will get here. 4. Overall experience isn't worth the money and the time. read more

Oh my GAWD. I originally learned of this lovely establishment from hearing if there great tortas on a foodie group...just had their "Blanda" open ended burrito on a homemade corn tortilla. Out of this world delish! Perfectly scrumptious and seasoned tender beef strips, crunchy shredded cabbage, fresh guacamole, wrapped in a black refried bean smothered shell. Salsa verse is to die for. This review is on the burritos, as we have only ordered burritos from this establishment. A regular burrito costs $6.95 with your choice of carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, or chicken. Such a competitive burrito price, especially since they automatically include guac in the burrito (no extra charge!). Each time we have ordered their burritos, they are fresh, flavorful, and filling. I started going here when they first open. I believe in the beginning it was just the mom, daughter, and son working. I went the first week they open with my late mom. We decided last minute to get the food to go so we asked for chips and salsa while we waited. They said if we were taking the food to go we would have to pay for the chips and salsa. $3.99. I thought that was strange I never ever been to a restaurant where we sat down got drinks then decided to get the order to go only to be charged for something that every Mexican restaurant gives as complimentary appetizer. Oh well, they were new maybe they really needed the money. Besides that the family that was working were kind and explained they were new from California as well. So they knew a thing or two about authentic Mexican food. I'm glad to see they are still in business the location is kinda hidden and there isn't much seating but it's worth the price.
