There are mouse droppings in the seating area, floors look 3 years dirty, food out in the open with no heating for food safety, ZERO hairnets. It is hit or miss with this Chinese carryout. I have gone there on & off for the past 5 years or so. I have gotten really good food that made me go back only to be disappointed. I can understand once in awhile the food might not be as spicy as you want. To order the same dish all the time and it taste different each time, always have different veggies in it. When the pandemic hit, they took precautions and built the necessary barrier between the cafe and the kitchen. They even installed a microphone of sorts so that they can hear you clearly. The staff wear masks and the family is very kind! We lived right across the street and would go often but we have since moved across town and I have yet to find a comparable Chinese restaurant. The restaurant has changed ownership recently (within the past 2 years) but the quality of the food hasn't suffered. Nothing beats a good Kung Pao chicken on any kind of day. They can and ate willing to alter any kind of spice level. Me, I prefer slightly spicy until I know what I'm dealing with. Inside it looks very dated and could use some updates and organization. It's a family business so I figured the food would be really good. I ordered General Tso Chicken with fried rice. Took less than 10 minutes and when she was bagging up the order, she opened the box to show me what was made and verified it was the correct order. The foo young sauce is pretty good, but I like the yellow sauce- this is kind of brown. As with all the carry outs, its better to get a separate order of fried rice, than to get the scoops of rice out of the vat that was pre made. I'd rather have fresh rice with bean spouts and onions and such, rather than an occasional sprinkling of peas and carrots. The egg rolls are inconsistent, sometimes they are great, other times they are average. The interior of the restaurant is typical of a shopping plaza. Small booths, minimal décor are consistent with the ratio of carryout versus dine- in. The place is never crowded, usually only 2 or 3 people inside. read more

Great, inexpensive go-to as a neighborhood carryout. I've had placed some pretty specific order requests and they've NEVER given me a faulty order. Food is incredibly fresh, delicious and fast. The fried rice isn't filled with previously frozen peas, carrots and onions. The simplicity is actually pretty good and allows your main dish to really shine through. I'm partial to the general tsos and orange chicken. The beef broccoli is ok, but not their best dish. They offer a fairly basic tempura chicken for the sweet and sour dish (great for a picky eater). I had low chow mein and general tso pork combo on two separate occasions. The food and price were reasonable. I would rate a 7 on a scale 1-10.However, the reason for low rating is the service. Customer service should be paramount in any restaurant endeavor and I'm sorry to say it was severely lacking in this establishment. On two separate occasions I felt the staff served me with disdain and contempt. No smiling employee. No greeting. Very unfriendly as if was doing them a favor handing them my credit card. I have visited other restaurants in same area that offered better service.
