First off the place is not fancy, missing ceiling tiles, water stains on the ceiling, could use some TLC and overall could use some repairs. It's located in a strip mall close to the Virginian motel. It had a very large menu. We had the beef and broccoli combination and the garlic chicken. The garlic chicken was the standout of the 2 meals, it was nice and spicy. The egg drop and sweet and sour soups were ok. The egg-roll and sweet and sour sauce were good. The service was excellent!!! The waiter could not have been more pleasant! I would return for the garlic chicken. The fried rice was just ok.

My family and I were looking for Chinese food options for dinner on our last night in Jackson so we decided to try this place out because of the high Yelp ratings. We were greeted right away and was promptly seated. We ordered: egg flower soup (large), orange chicken, house special fried rice (order this!), and the beef with broccoli. All the dishes we order were delicious (not too salty or greasy either). Minus 1 star for the ambience as the side of the restaurant we dined at felt a little too enclosed. Overall, if you're looking for some tasty Chinese food, this place is it.

They advertise themselves as the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Jackson Hole, which is probably true. Service was fast. Food was good - considering that we're in Jackson. Ordered the chicken teriyaki - it's a lot of chicken. Sauce is a little too sweet for me. Comes with barely cooked / raw onions. Beef and broccoli was solid. Portions were big and definitely filled us up. Would come back

I recently went to China fun restaurant with my friend for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was clean and we were seated right away. Service was quick and the food came out in about seven minutes. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special with scallion and onions it didn't have any spice, but I was expecting at least a little kick (maybe it was "Wyoming spicy" lol) anyway my dish came with rice and an egg roll. It wasn't anything special kinda mid. The food was light a little bit oily but not super heavy. I thought China fun was decent and I think I would probably return.

Decent food. Great prices. Good atmosphere. The prices are so good I almost gave it another star!

Vegetarian reviewer: My partner and I absolutely loved the veg fried rice. It was exceptional, please note it's worth it to add the extra mushroom. I wish I did not deduct that one star but I have to coz the tofu dish was too oily, we kept pressing the oil out with napkins. And also, it had too much turmeric in it which left an after taste. This dish still tasted good. My partner also ordered the egg soup- he liked it but it's not my thing. The restaurant is clean and the server spoke with very kindly with us. There are parking spots right in front of the restaurant so it's convenient. I really recommend this place if you're in Jackson. We missed the hot pot coz apparently they only serve it during winters.

Very surprised at the taste of the Chinese food here but would say it is pretty good especially in a village in the middle of the no where. Dishes were on the pricier side but over would try again.

Amazing quality and portions for the price. The mapo tofu (called bean curd szechuan on their website menu) was especially very good value. We called ahead for takeout, and the food was ready in 15 minutes. Really added spice to our trip to Teton national park :) We loved it to the point where we actually went back to dine in the next day.

the sweet and sour spare ribs we ate is the best by far.

After a few days of "well, that was expensive" meals, this place felt like striking gold. We're not meat eaters, which can sometimes make dining in these areas a bit of a scavenger hunt, but The Blue Lion delivered anyway. The scallops were spot-on, the scampi pasta was bright and balanced, and everything tasted like someone in the kitchen actually cared. And then there's Colin, the manager--who somehow manages to be attentive, engaging, and completely unpretentious all at once. He chatted with us about food like we were old friends, made sure every detail was right, and turned dinner into an experience rather than just a reservation. Our server was equally dialed in, catching nuances in our order that most places would miss. It's the kind of service that feels effortless but clearly isn't. The vibe? Cozy, welcoming, and just the right amount of lively. The kind of place where you linger a little too long and start thinking about what you'd order next time. In a town full of places that rely on location, The Blue Lion earns it.

Walking up, the outside is very unassuming, even to the point that I almost second guessed our decision, but don't let that deter you. The inside is half wine shop liquor store, half intimate tapas wine bar. There's several long tables for communal dining and a few spots at the bar. During happy hour, all of their drinks are half off as well as their burratas and cheese plates. I got a nice dry rose which was fantastic. For an early evening bite, we got the fried artichokes and the mushroom burrata plate and both were excellent. Overall, this is a cozy spot to bring a friend, a date, or even your parents. The food is fantastic and the drink selection is sure to please everyone. I believe they will also allow you to purchase a bottle at their store to open and drink at the restaurant (corking fee may be required). A hidden gem for sure. Insider tip - if you're splitting the bill, pay attention to the calculated tips. They will charge the full tip on each half rather than calculating it on each half total.

4 stars - no more, no less…read more Let's start with the ambiance because i actually thought that was the best part. Snake River grill has been around for a while and it's designed with that log cabin, woodsy lodge vibe. I love that old world cabin-y feel and they nailed it. Very beautiful space to be in and different from most restaurants in the area. Service -- mixed bag here. Our server was very kind. But she disappeared several times throughout the night. There was a solid 20+ minute lull between apps and entrees -- longer than normal -- which would have been more palatable if a server stopped by once or twice. We sat with an empty table, empty water glasses, and empty drinks. We had to stand up to finally flag down another waiter. Overall - this place is generally regarded as running a very sound operation -- so hard to say what was going on, but definitely put a real damper on the experience. Food - we had 4 total dishes, 2 great, 1 okay, 1 not great. We started with the gnocchi which was prepared in a zucchini cream type sauce. I'm not a big gnocchi guy - usually too heavy for me -- but this summery preparation drew me in. It was stupendous. The zucchini sauce with deliciously fresh zucchini chunks and perfectly delicate gnocchi was an overall excellent dish. We were licking the bowl. For entrees - we had the the spinach papardelle with a rabbit ragu which was also excellent. Rabbit ragu isn't something you find everywhere and it was beautifully executed. Flavorful and fresh and the sauce was not overpowering. The tomatoes chunks were vibrant and delicious and balanced the richness of the rabbit ragu perfectly. The papardelle was infused with spinach and had a perfect chew. Amazing dish. The not so amazing - the bavette steak. The meat itself was good and this is a great cut that's lesser found on menus. The problem was the smoke on it. It was egregious. I don't mind a little bit of smoke on my meat but this tasted like it had been cooked over a wood smoker for the last 2 weeks. It was hard to get past the smoke and neither my wife or i could really eat it. Very surprising that with such a high level of smoke, the menu or servers wouldn't call this out. Smoke is definitely polarizing and not something everybody likes. The whole dish was ruined by it. Big miss. For dessert we had the fruit crumble. The fruit was a blend of several fresh fruits -- delicious -- but the proportion of crumble to fruit was way way off. May sound like nitpicking -- but these are the details that matter and separate an okay dish from a great one. There was a very thin layer of crumble on top (which was great) and below was about 2 inches of jam / preserve. The crumble was gone after a couple bites and we were left with a swimming pool of jam. Less jam / more crumble and you have a top notch dessert on your hands. Overall I'd give this a true 3.5 stars. Ambiance was closer to 5 stars, service 3, food 4. Definitely go check it out

We had dinner here the last night of our trip and it was the best way to close out our time here in Wyoming. It is easily one of our top 5 meals ever. What we had: -Fleeting Smile Zero Proof drink, delicious, and iced tea with simple syrup to sweeten -Meatballs alla Nonna - the meatballs themselves were fantastic, and the red sauce tasted a lot like MY homemade red sauce! We were very happy with this, to say the least. -Salumi & Formaggi - favorite meat and cheese plate we've ever had. Everything was perfectly selected and paired together on the board. Could not have been more pleased. -Charred broccolini - cooked perfectly to a bright and vibrant color, accompanied by a spicy Calabrian chili aioli. I feel like I always need something green with my dinner and this was an excellent addition to the table. -Rye Cavatelli - great chew on the fresh cavatelli. I watched the PBS spotlight on Glorietta and Wyoming Heritage Grains a few days prior and it made it all the more meaningful to order this dish and taste the hard work and care that goes into the flour and the pasta. And the elk bolognese was wonderful, too, with salty chunks of meat throughout. -Prime NY Strip - if a steak could melt in your mouth. And the additions of the porcini butter and the vincotto pushed it to another level. Spectacular. -Duck breast with creamy polenta, grilled carrots, and balsamic reduction - I have no words. My first bite with a bit of the polenta stopped me dead in my tracks and I had a visceral reaction. A transcendental food moment. It was rich beyond belief; I had no idea duck breast could be like this. Still blown away thinking about it. -Espresso (local coffee!) served with biscotti, and s'mores (graham blondie, smoked ganache, honey meringue), which was absolute bliss and surprisingly not too heavy All in all, a fabulous, romantic, elevated dining experience. Huge thanks to Chef Remle and his whole team. *** One last thing: the service. Food came out in a timely manner and drinks were refilled. But neither of us liked our server. He was simply not engaged with us. We told him it was our 30th wedding anniversary and he offered us free prosecco, but when I said we didn't drink, that was the end of that. We don't expect free things. Really. But it was a bit off-putting that if we said no to free alcohol, specifically, that the offer was entirely retracted. It seemed like he was very distracted by a larger party in his section and was giving them all of his attention, so maybe that is why he seemed disconnected. But he also didn't seem to understand any of my comments or small jokes and we had to repeat ourselves in every interaction. He tried to be "nice" but it came off as disingenuous. It was a relatively small cloud over an otherwise amazing experience. The food was so incredibly good that I won't even let it bring my review down to 4 stars. Still, I had to mention it. If we go back and he is still working there, we will definitely request to be seated with someone else.

Filet was perfectly cooked to my medium request, tender, and perfectly seasoned. They tout USDA prime meats, and I have no doubt that's what they serve. Hubs ordered his steak be served on their 600 degree salt block, and he was a bit hesitant that it could easily be overcooked. It arrived at the table, he removed the steak from the extremely hot salt block and each piece he placed back on the salt block before eating. I actually did the same with several pieces of my steak. I was amazed at the additional flavor this salt block added to an already delicious filet! Our shared sides were very good, too. My husband, the cookie lover, ordered the chocolate chip cookie à la mode which is served fresh from the oven in a small cast iron skillet. I had a hard time keeping my spoon out of his delicious dessert - so glad he shares. We were seated quickly and our server was very helpful making recommendations. You can expect the ambiance is typical of a traditional steakhouse- handsome wood paneling and bar, dim lighting, candle lit tables and white table clothes. It was a lovely dining experience and we will return!

I really wanted to like this restaurant more than we did. I really love the vibe of an old ski town…read morehotel/lodge - it brings me back to my younger years of ski trips where we'd stay at older ski cabin lodge type places -- fireplaces burning, the small of wooden cabin in the air, the coziness of restaurants often nooked somewhere lower into the property. So yes - we were excited for The White Buffalo Club - because it fits that vibe. Sadly - it was kind of a bad version of what we hoped it could be. Ambiance - it falls into the category I mentioned above - but felt kind of run down. We welcome the old world ski lodge vibes -- but the restaurant here just felt old and tired and run down. It was also really really small - kind of claustrophobic. Food - things really fell off here. Hate to say it but on multiple dishes we were struggling to eat our food and forcing some down in order to not offend the staff. The Caesar salad was wildly fishy (yes - anchovy in a Caesar is totally fair game - but this salad tasted like eating canned fish atop some greens). We tried a cheesecake for dessert which was strangley infused with rosemary and in a pretzel crust. I love rosemary as an herb to cook with - i grow it at home - and so we were open to it totally. But rosemary - especially raw and in a dessert - must be used sparingly. You could see huge chunks of rosemary all throughout the cheesecake and each bit tasted like taking a bite out of a pine tree. Inedible. The pretzel crust was insanely salty too. Wild miss on a dessert. The one saving grace was the ribeye steak. Not that it was world class - but it was definitely a tasty piece of meat that was well cooked. Service - our server (can't remember her name - youngish blonde female) - was lovely! Super bubbly and friendly. She did her best all night - if the rest of the restaurant was on par with her, they'd be in much better shape. I hate to leave a negative review and only choose to do so when it offers info I myself wish was shared with me before making a choice of restaurant. Overall - I'd say to stay away - there are too many great choices in JH and this one is just not it.
