I have not been a fan of AYCE places for years. China Buffet, I could make an exception for a couple of reasons. First, price. People come to AYCE and think they are going to put a dent into the places bottom line. As they say, "The House always wins ." Doesn't matter if it's AYCE or Vegas! I tried all the offerings with the exception of Sushi( especially when I saw Talapia as one of the fish) and Western anything from Pizza to Crawfish to Mac & Cheese and BBQ Ribs. The Star of the whole show IMHO was what use to be called Mongolian BBQ. Scaled down a bit as far as selection of ingredients, but well prepared with a Spicy Hibachi sauce. Very good, the rest of the "Chinese" food dishes were a step or two above Chinese take-away. Two big turnoffs were the vegetarian fried rice and the packets of hot Chinese mustard for egg rolls. It was rancid and milky. I would definitely go back again and just have one of the Mongolian do it your self plates and some steamed rice. Restaurant was clean and the servers were very accommodating as to clearing the tables.

Nice staff, clean atmosphere, and pretty good food for the price! The quality of course isn't like a 5 star establishment but for the price it can't get better than that. Decent food choices and quality. Our server was very attentive picking up our plates and refilling our drinks. On a Saturday for lunch 11am-3pm it is $15 all you can eat buffet which is a pretty good deal! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Yikes. $15.49 per adult for a weekend lunch is kind of crazy. Considering it's $10.99 during the week. We were already in there so we decided to go through with it. They had a ton of seafood options, but not everyone is a fan of seafood. Seems like that price is for lunch and dinner. Wonder if they serve the exact same items for dinner. Food is what you would expect from a Chinese buffet. I don't eat as much during lunch, so definitely did not get my money's worth. Service was okay. They took our plates in a timely manner, but never refilled our drinks.

I have to say this place was NOT worth even the cost of the iced tea! Both my friend and I barely ate, leaving hungry. Sad enough leaving hungry was a better option than the low quality food! A good example of that was the sweet-and-sour chicken. Very nice size piece however, when you opened it up, you had to literally dig in to try to find even the tiniest remnants of a piece of chicken. Once finally found, it was smaller than 1/3 size of a dime. The sushi well I hate to be rude, but I literally could not swallow it. I had to place it politely in a napkin so that I did not bring it back up. The restrooms- i have seen portables cleaner than here. As I left the restroom, I dragging my feet on the carpet, trying to ensure that the urine from the floor did not follow me to my car. The ONLY positive review I can get with our server, Eason. He was truly centered on customer service and was quick and ensuring we had everything we needed. I wish I could give a separate review to him however, unfortunately he hast to go down with a ship. Overall, this is not even a place I would recommend to anyone who has any remote taste buds or wants a place where the food quality is at least edible.

Sushi was great. They had lots of fruit options. Chilled shrimp.

We tried this for the first time and enjoyed it. The sign outside says they are under new management. We checked their health inspection and it was good. It was exactly what I would expect from a China buffet, and a little extra. The sushi was surprisingly good, the food hot, and the service was pleasant. The dining space was a pretty dated, but it was clean. My family enjoyed their experience, and want to return.

Cheap food at a cheap place in Jacksonville FL. I could find cheaper and better food in Oakland CA. For now, this place has to do.

Tried YH Dim Sum and it totally hit the spot!…read more Everything we ordered was on point the shrimp rice rolls, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork were all so good. Flavor, texture, portion... no notes. The lychee martinis were a highlight (especially since they were doing BOGO ), and the staff made the whole experience even better super fun and great energy. If you're craving dim sum and a good time, this place is definitely worth the stop.

I love visiting Saint Augustine so I was so excited when I found this dim sum restaurant!…read more Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was dining by myself. I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
