WOW. Never would given it a thought. It is primary take away, be we wanted to sit and eat there. Restaurant was very clean and had all the condiments including the Chinese mustard! First fried rice I have had in a take away place that was not white with a couple peas & carrots. Very good as was the very large pork egg foo yong. I had a taste for Chinese Food today however, I didn't have a clue to any good Chinese Restaurants in the area, to the Yelp App I go! I found China kitchen . The restaurant is clean and the food coming smelled delicious. I see that they have plastic up for Covid safety precautions . Prices are reasonable. They have lunch and dinner specials . On this day I tried the Pepper Steak and Onions. The beef was tender and they gave you enough meat and vegetables to balance out. The sauce was delicious and savory. I had the shrimp fried rice to accompany the meal. I'm glad the shrimp wasn't chewy, then could add a few more to the rice, it would hurt. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would back to purchase more meals from here. read more

Ordered takeout here on Christmas Eve. The business is located in a Wal-Mart shopping center so traffic can be pretty thick and hard to navigate but they have an option to come in the back way if you know what you are looking for. This makes it much easier. The place was packed and the line was close to being out the door for pickup but it moved pretty quick and the staff were attentive and prioritized those picking up orders over those waking in off the street. They do have a small in door seating section if you want to eat there, but you will have people waking by you to order matter where you sit. We ordered Crab Rangoon, fried rice, chicken lo mein, a shrimp lo mein combo meal and a General Tso's chicken combo meal. The combo meals come with a pork egg roll and choice of fried rice or white rice. I got the general Tso's chix with white rice. The white rice was refreshingly good, not over cooked and still sticky. It paired really well with the chicken. Both lo meins were good and had good flavor. The stars were the egg rolls, so much better than other Chinese places. No complaints about any of the food. Would recommend going and will go again. Only knock is that based on location, you will have to brave Collins Road traffic which can be horrendous. read more

The food was made super fast when I ordered it and not cooked before hand. It was delicious and exactly what I wanted (though I could have done without the rice as it was a bit dry and tasted like filler). I'll try and remember that next time I order. So that day I ordered the seasame chicken with fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, chicken pad Thai and almond cookies for dessert. Been living in Jacksonville for over a year now and China Kitchen is one of the better Chinese restaurants around. Lo mein, rice and Crab Rangoons are terrific. However, I did have a bad experience with the egg rolls. First couple times I had them they were great, but the most recent time was very mushy in the middle with a very weird fishy taste? I ordered beef lo mein. It did have more noodles than beef, but it was worth every carb! They have a variety of canned sodas to choose from, not just the standard Coke or Sprite.
