DO NOT ORDER SHRIMP! This incident will be reported to the Department of Health. The shrimp was not cleaned and arrived with a FISHY smell. When I called to inquire I was told all of their shrimp smell that way and cleaned in the same manner. This neither answered my question regarding the shrimp not being cleaned, nor the smell. They did NOT issue a refund. DO NOT ORDER!

I stumbled across this place late at night on my way to my hotel. I ordered a wonton egg drop soup and the Singapore style mei fun. The soup was very good, thick and good. The mei fun was ok, though I would have liked to have seen more meat in it. I would try here again, though o do not know if I would go with the mei fun. Maybe the curry chicken.

I had a taste for Chinese Food today however, I didn't have a clue to any good Chinese Restaurants in the area, to the Yelp App I go! I found China kitchen . The restaurant is clean and the food coming smelled delicious. I see that they have plastic up for Covid safety precautions . Prices are reasonable. They have lunch and dinner specials . On this day I tried the Pepper Steak and Onions. The beef was tender and they gave you enough meat and vegetables to balance out. The sauce was delicious and savory. I had the shrimp fried rice to accompany the meal. I'm glad the shrimp wasn't chewy, then could add a few more to the rice, it would hurt. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would back to purchase more meals from here.

Great Chinese... it's our go to now... it's a bit away from us but worth it. I visited the store for the first time and it's very clean.

The hot and sour soup tasted like dirty dishwater. The Krab Rangoon was terrible barely any cream cheese in it. Very disappointing

YH Dim Sum

Tried YH Dim Sum and it totally hit the spot!…read more Everything we ordered was on point the shrimp rice rolls, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork were all so good. Flavor, texture, portion... no notes. The lychee martinis were a highlight (especially since they were doing BOGO ), and the staff made the whole experience even better super fun and great energy. If you're craving dim sum and a good time, this place is definitely worth the stop.

I love visiting Saint Augustine so I was so excited when I found this dim sum restaurant!…read more Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was dining by myself. I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
