Hello all. Today the Wife and I went to China Buffet on Blanding Blvd. I wasnt that impressed with it. The food that they had up was cold and then they placed got food on top of that. The chicken was hard and you could tell it was old. The Lo Mein was cold and dry. Then eith all that rhe waiter were hawking. I swear this lady walked pass my table every bit of 10 times looking. She even stopped and stood behind me. I was not happy with this visit at all. I think the best thing that I did have was a Sprite. Sorry not sorry read more

I have not been a fan of AYCE places for years. China Buffet, I could make an exception for a couple of reasons. First, price. People come to AYCE and think they are going to put a dent into the places bottom line. As they say, "The House always wins ." Doesn't matter if it's AYCE or Vegas! I tried all the offerings with the exception of Sushi( especially when I saw Talapia as one of the fish) and Western anything from Pizza to Crawfish to Mac & Cheese and BBQ Ribs. The Star of the whole show IMHO was what use to be called Mongolian BBQ. Scaled down a bit as far as selection of ingredients, but well prepared with a Spicy Hibachi sauce. Very good, the rest of the "Chinese" food dishes were a step or two above Chinese take-away. Two big turnoffs were the vegetarian fried rice and the packets of hot Chinese mustard for egg rolls. It was rancid and milky. I would definitely go back again and just have one of the Mongolian do it your self plates and some steamed rice. It's hard to find anything edible.....the Sushi is gross which I didn't expect to to be great but I got very basic roll and fried (I had to spit it out both rolls) the hot tables weren't hot or even warm so the food was cold and the egg rolls were raw inside. I went to this place alot growing up and I remember the quality was much better ...not worth the money. Not worth getting sick please do not risk it. read more

Nice staff, clean atmosphere, and pretty good food for the price! The quality of course isn't like a 5 star establishment but for the price it can't get better than that. Decent food choices and quality. Our server was very attentive picking up our plates and refilling our drinks. On a Saturday for lunch 11am-3pm it is $15 all you can eat buffet which is a pretty good deal! Highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

This was our first time and it was decent enough for us to decide we will give it another shot in the future. Standard asian buffet setup. Plenty of seating and comfortable. Service was good and the servers seemed pleasent. Food was.....good....not bad but a lot seemed to be either overcooked or sitting on the buffet line for a while. Yikes. $15.49 per adult for a weekend lunch is kind of crazy. Considering it's $10.99 during the week. We were already in there so we decided to go through with it. They had a ton of seafood options, but not everyone is a fan of seafood. Seems like that price is for lunch and dinner. Wonder if they serve the exact same items for dinner. Food is what you would expect from a Chinese buffet. I don't eat as much during lunch, so definitely did not get my money's worth. Service was okay. This restaurant hasn't changed one bit in the 20+ years its been at this location. Decor is outdated and seen better days. Selection on the buffet was pretty good if you are looking for classic entrees. Sushi was surprisingly good, which can be hit or miss at most of your older chinese buffets. This wouldn't be a place we go with any frequency, but if you are looking to fill up a family for relatively cheap you can't go wrong. read more

I have to say this place was NOT worth even the cost of the iced tea! Both my friend and I barely ate, leaving hungry. Sad enough leaving hungry was a better option than the low quality food! A good example of that was the sweet-and-sour chicken. Very nice size piece however, when you opened it up, you had to literally dig in to try to find even the tiniest remnants of a piece of chicken. Once finally found, it was smaller than 1/3 size of a dime. The sushi well I hate to be rude, but I literally could not swallow it. I had to place it politely in a napkin so that I did not bring it back up. The restrooms- i have seen portables cleaner than here. As I left the restroom, I dragging my feet on the carpet, trying to ensure that the urine from the floor did not follow me to my car. The ONLY positive review I can get with our server, Eason. He was truly centered on customer service and was quick and ensuring we had everything we needed. I wish I could give a separate review to him however, unfortunately he hast to go down with a ship. I don't expect much from any buffet but this place is decent. Quickly seated every time we come in. We have come for lunch and dinner weekdays and weekends and it's always busy. This is something I look for to make sure the food is being turned over and not sitting and getting old. There is a lot of variety in the food. I prefer the hibachi since it's cooked fresh. They also have ice cream for dessert. The servers are quick to clear plates and refill drinks. read more

I went to China Buffet today with my family for Christmas dinner. The food was mediocre at best, but that's the norm. The service was good. I don't know if they changed management or there were staff changes, but it was not the same. The biggest issue that I had was the man at the front desk taking the payment. He was extremely rude to us. Normally the ladies are at the front, and we've never had a problem. This man definitely needed extensive customer service training. Youre better off spending your money somewhere else!!! The food is mediocre and tasteless. The sushi is poorly assembled and tastes bland if you dont drown it in sauce. Theres a minimal selection of ACTUAL meats. The fried foods are lukewarm and soggy. I visited on an evening around 8:20 they close at 9:30 they WOULD NOT refill the buffet so me and my family were stuck eating small amounts of rice and noodles... not to mention when we arrived staff were at the buffet serving themselves food and sitting down to eat. A worker stopped eating at a nearby table and approached to seat us, just totally unprofessional. This place USED to be delicious... now its just dim and gusty. For the 60$ I spent id rather take my family to Golden Corral. Not to mention the bathrooms are disgusting, and if the bathroom isnt clean then I cannot image how the kitchen looks. read more

This place has seen its days; disappointed with my recent visit. We stopped in for a quick bite cause Chinese food sound good at the time. The food quality at this buffet has declined over time. The strong fishy smell was off-putting, and the lack of cleanliness was noticeable. The staff, though courteous to us, seemed to converse in their own language as if to crack on the other customers in the restaurant, but it was pretty apparent with the loud tones. The food was okay. Some of the dishes looked like they had been sitting there for a while. They were all full and there was good crowd of people there so I wasn't sure why they looked that way. The classic eggroll had a weird taste so I left it at one bite. Surprisingly the lo mien and beef & broccoli were the only things I liked out of the whole buffet. Service was decent, but the split bill issue left me uncertain about the pricing; when the total bill first came it was less than when we asked for separate checks. It was exactly what I would expect from a China buffet, and a little extra. The sushi was surprisingly good, the food hot, and the service was pleasant. In the United States, there is no certification. The DOJ has a warning on their ADA FAQ page warning businesses and service dog handlers alike that the online sites ARE SCAMS! There are laws EXPLICITLY PROHIBITING A BUSINESS FROM DEMANDING TO SEE THESE because they do not legitimately exist. When I tried to explain this to the manager she issued a lifetime ban! We went to China buffet because they had a Mongolian barbecue. I got mine had been sprouts and the wife tasted it. She as well you got bean sprouts she's gonna go get me some. She went up there. There was just a few bean sprouts in the water. she asked the guy can I get some more bean sprouts he looked at her Like he didn't understand. He said something Chinese to the other dude and they talked back-and-forth she said, sir, can I get some more bean sprouts? He walked over to the bean sprouts that just had water and a couple floating in the water and took it and threw it in the sink and come back says no more bean sprouts tonight. This was at 7:15 in the afternoon on Thursday. Still plenty of people inside said something to Manager she didn't really care in the broccoli and beef had all kinds of fat in the meat and gristle. Very poor quality won't be back in the bathrooms are nasty even the sink. I don't think it's been clean in a few days Toilet paper all over the floor pee on floor if code enforcement would come out probably would close them down imagine what back looks like if the bathrooms look that way would not recommend it gave them a one star service was OK. Food was fresh and taste really good. They offer a hibachi grill if you want your food that way instead of the hot bars . They have a huge selection of food . Staff is amazing and actually wait on you unlike most major food chain restaurants who ignore your table. The atmosphere is calm good music and a fish tank for kids to look at . Today attended the China Buffet as I have many times before. The food is a buffet not a 5 star Rey I do not expect the best food. It's all prepared and ready for warm up. With the above in mind I give it a f4 star rating on the bases of food taste and what I like to eat sometimes. Fake crab,sushi cheap, all you can eat salad bar. And pot stickers. So on just what I named above it is great food. I have not seen another all you can eat Chiness that is better in Jacksonville. I don't like any of the chickens and pork in any all you can eat so I don't eat them. The place could use a makeover the rug is dirty. And the bathrooms are dated. I came here because a near bye merchant recommended. Wanted to go food, was staying 25 miles north at hotel. Ordered quart of mo goo gai pan-typical Cantonese found at every Chinese place. Simple-chicken with vegetables. Buffet looked decent but they wanted $8.99per lb. Got to my hotel room and found I had chicken a mushrooms which they were convinced was correctly Moo goo gai pan. Have no idea how to cook anything other than what they provide in the buffet-and didn't really care when I called once arriving back at hotel. Asked me to drive it back? Um -no. We used to eat here every weekend but this past year hasn't been the same due to the lack of variety and freshness in their buffet dishes. The place hasn't been renovated for a while so it looks the same for the past 10+ years. Food trays get refilled frequently but not that many choices to choose from. My favorite is the frog legs and they dont always have them. Everything else is just mediocre, service is decent, just like any other typical Chinese buffet chains. The food was okay. Some was good while some items tasted old. They have a lot of variety. The bathroom was gross. One of the toilets had vomit just setting there. They had a sign hanging up not to put toilet paper in the toilets. I took a second look at the sign thinking I read it wrong and maybe it said not to put paper towels in the toilet. Nope, it said toilet paper. What the heck? If the toilet paper doesn't go in the toilet then where does it go? On the floor next to the toilet? Carry it to the bathroom sink area to throw it away? I'm surprised the Health Department allows this. Had I seen the bathroom first, I wouldn't have eaten here. The service was okay. I had to ask for a water refill when it should have automatically been done. As soon as I got in my car, I had to re-park in this same parking lot and run into the Publix next door to use their clean facilities. My tummy has hurt all day after eating here around noon. I don't think I have food poisoning, but the food definitely didn't agree with my tummy. The cost was around $11.
