ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! If you have a problem with the community you're working in...... LEAVE!! Constantly you are greeted either over the phone or in person with an aggressively rude lady. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told no and to leave.. If you're rude for no reason at all how are you when preparing my food? I checked the dates of the previous reviews it seems like a new owners with new negative attitudes. Beware!!!

Started with five stars because I really like the food. But now I'm giving it 1 star on the account of this one ladies attitude my previous two visits. And the shrimp fried rice needs more shrimp. Lol. It does though. This past time she blatantly ignored me. I'm done dealin' baby. Sho gone miss that beef Lo mein .

Hidden gem in the cut. Since we moved to the northside we wanted to find the best Chinese spot this side of town. If you are brave then this place has the best Chinese cuisine. We also get Shrimp Egg rolls, Wonton Soup, House fried rice and house lo mein. They are quick. Just remember to order before you arrive because they usually have a line to the door. Never ate inside but it has Asian flair

Bbq Boneless spareribs & shrimp fried rice

I came here by default as it was the 4th & the bbq spot around the corner had a line around the building and down the street...plus also this was the only Chinese place open in my area. Nevertheless I'm glad I did as the food was hot, fresh, and pretty good and the customer service was excellent. I was quite surprised by all this considering where it's located but pleasant surprises go over quite well with me. LOL! I had the Bbq boneless spareribs, with shrimp fried rice. It even had some broccoli in the dish. Some of the rib tips were a bit hard but that's my only negative here. I reviewed the menu & noticed a wider selection than comparable Chinese spots and the prices are less expensive than most. If you're over this way give them a try.

Tried Ho-Ho last week because the folks on Yelp said really good things. Well, those things are well-deserved. The portions are large, the food delish. I had the honey-chicken (which I'd never had before) and got almost 3 meals out of the large. Great deal. The teriyaki chicken on a stick - perfect. And the rice...well, some of the tastiest I've had in a long, long time. It just may be a "hole-in-the-wall", but check it out. There is space inside to eat, but we took it home. For $38 for two people, we each got about 3 meals....great value, delicious food. Give it a try!

    Chicken & broccoli lunch

I found Ho-Ho on Yelp when looking for a decent Chinese lunch to go in the area and what a pleasant surprise this little gem turned out to be. All the usual options available and more with the quality, service size, reasonable price, and fast and friendly service making Ho-Ho top my list for take out. For lunch we got the chicken and broccoli with white rice, and the roast pork and mixed vegetable with fried rice. Both dishes filled the "lunch sized" containers to the top and lasted me three meals each for only $4.95. The meats were tender, flavorful and the vegetables super fresh and coated with just the right amount of sauces. While the lunch does not include egg rolls, you do get a free bonus ice cold soda. We also ordered soup so got an egg drop and a won-ton soup. Both were amazing. I was shocked and delighted at the size of the won tons and the quantity that were in the container. Everything tasted so delicious, I cannot wait to try other items on the menu. The restaurant itself is large enough to comfortably dine in, so perhaps i will try that next time, but one thing is for sure, if i want a ready-in-10-minutes, inexpensive, quality lunch to go, I will be calling Ho-Ho again soon.

My husband really likes their orange chicken. The crunchy noodles for soup have never been stale. Nearby Chinese food takeout in comparison: Green lake food is good but not quite as good. Red lantern (previously Silver Star) is inconsistent and hasn't been as good the last few times. The hot and sour soup has been amazing at times, but sometimes it's just ok. The egg drop soup was so salty we all agreed it was inedible. The crunchy noodles at times were stale. We've always liked their stuffed eggplant and they're the only ones out of the three that offer it.

I heard about them when they were in another plaza but never really tried them until they moved and have frequented them every now and then. I called in and got the Bourbon Chicken dinner combination tonight and instead of rice I substituted or shall I say upgraded it to a veggie lo mein. The total was $18 and some change just for that and an egg roll. I've heard people say their food is pricey but I'll pay the premium especially since the food is always good plus the veggies and meats always seem fresh and not frozen or questionable like other joints. Go check 'em out and don't let the Planet Fitness next door guilt trip ya!

Flavor, texture, portion... no notes. The lychee martinis were a highlight (especially since they were doing BOGO ), and the staff made the whole experience even better super fun and great energy. If you're craving dim sum and a good time, this place is definitely worth the stop.

I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
