I always order through here on DoorDash, and it's so good. It's taken a while to find a good Chinese takeout restaurant. I like to switch up my order, but I usually keep it simple. I tried their hibachi items for the first time, and they were okay. It's not my favorite, but I like the noodles. I switch between the fried and steamed dumplings; fried is my favorite. Their crab Rangoons are pretty good, too. I also always have to get an egg roll and their wonton soup.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We were pretty disappointed with this place. One of the worst tasting Chinese food we have ever had. We tried the sesame chicken and it tasted old, chewy & 3 days old. Tried the egg drop soup (how can you mess up egg drop?) tasted like sink water with egg. The wontons that come with it tasted 30 days old. The egg rolls tasted sour... actually it tasted like poison. The chicken with broccoli was edible... we wasted $70 on Ubereats because it was BOGO. It should be called BOTO (buy one, throw one)

YAY for finding my new favorite Chinese take out! The general tso and orange chicken is delicious. They cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and I have to say for the FIRST TIME EVER, there was no weird textures in a single bite of chicken. It was great quality! The only thing I'd say could be improved is the sauce. it was on the thicker, gloopier side but it still tasted fantastic! The crab rangoon is also great! Not a lot of crab flavor but I still enjoyed it. I felt it had more of savory and scallion flavor than some of the sweeter rangoons I've had at other places. I preferred these over the sweet ones. The general tso lunch special comes with a soup - not sure what kind it is but it tasted like straight up water. This is the only thing I didn't like.

It's really a shame, but it appears that China99 has made some changes in the past few months. We ordered about $50 worth of food and it was a disappointment. Lo Mein that was just spaghetti noodles, soy sauce, and pieces of pork. Curry Beef and they forgot to give us the white rice. Because our meal was over $35, we got a complimentary menu item. We thought we were going to receive crispy fried shrimp, but instead they forgot it and gave us the shrimp from their Sweet & Sour Shrimp. It was a good run, but I think we're going to be on the outlook for a different place to get our Chinese food from.

China 99 is without question, the cleanest Chinese takeout restaurant I've ever stepped foot in. Yeah, it's fairly new (opened within the last year), but I'll be damned, I saw my reflection in the floor! Wherever there's a Publix, there's a Chinese takeout joint nearby. After loading up the car with way too many groceries, we felt like we deserved a moderately decent Chinese takeout meal. As opposed to other comparable restaurants, they made our food to order. Eat fresh?! To me, there's nothing more satisfying than a combination plate packed tightly, with egg rolls and fortune cookies at the finish line. My mistress in life are in fact egg rolls, and these crisp delicacies hit the spot. The classic dish of Beef and Broccoli was full of flavors, without being oily are doused in soy. Fried Rice was very good, too. Don't expect a red carpet to be laid out when you walk in, but I guarantee you'll be surprised with your experience. Don't judge a book by its cover, folks. Life is short, eat more egg rolls!

Amazing Value and Tasty. No complains here. The sweet and sour chicken feeds two people especially if you order a side pf fried rice. So good

Super tasty, hot and flavorful. I would definitely go again. Our food was cooked fast and didn't have to wait.

My husband really likes their orange chicken. The crunchy noodles for soup have never been stale. Nearby Chinese food takeout in comparison: Green lake food is good but not quite as good. Red lantern (previously Silver Star) is inconsistent and hasn't been as good the last few times. The hot and sour soup has been amazing at times, but sometimes it's just ok. The egg drop soup was so salty we all agreed it was inedible. The crunchy noodles at times were stale. We've always liked their stuffed eggplant and they're the only ones out of the three that offer it.

I heard about them when they were in another plaza but never really tried them until they moved and have frequented them every now and then. I called in and got the Bourbon Chicken dinner combination tonight and instead of rice I substituted or shall I say upgraded it to a veggie lo mein. The total was $18 and some change just for that and an egg roll. I've heard people say their food is pricey but I'll pay the premium especially since the food is always good plus the veggies and meats always seem fresh and not frozen or questionable like other joints. Go check 'em out and don't let the Planet Fitness next door guilt trip ya!

I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
