Chilis is our go to place for happy hour! usually sit at the bar area. Been going for years! We love Bri! Tonight however we had a different server. was very disappointing. Our service was horrible!!! Waitress just dropped our food off and walked away without asking (or giving us a chance to ask) if we needed anything. She never returned to check on us or offer refills, never got the water i asked for. We were looking at the dessert menu on the kiosk thing and she walked by our table and left the check. Food was good beer was warm but the bar tender was really slow and our waiter was too! I saw my beer sit for a while before it was bought to me. It wasn't bad I assume do to all the delightful reviews that maybe we were just to close to closing. We came in an hour and 15 minutes before closing and ordered a burger and a BBQ plate to go.. the fries were obviously microwaved and the "pickles" were just cucumbers with italian dressing the burger tasted plain. The BBQ plate didn't have BBQ sauce with the chicken and the fries were cold the garlic bread was over cooked... Tonight my husband and I visited Chili's. The service was terrible. After we ordered drinks my husband decided he wanted chips and salsa. We waited about 7 minutes for our waitress. She was a no show. Finally, my husband saw her, went to her, and ordered. She was at the bar looking at pictures on her friend's phone. My drink ran out and I was not offered refills. At the end of the meal she said she would be our cashier. I believe she didn't think we knew we could use the Ziosk at the table. She knew she was going to get a terrible review. I am never disappointed when I come here! My mom and I visit Chili's in Chico every so often and always try something different and always love it! Last time we ordered the shrimp tacos, they were amazing! The sauce they put on them is to die for! We also ordered their fruity iced tea and it was great as well! Well I usually don't post reviews but felt it was necessary regarding the last trip my girlfriend and I took here. We came there for a few happy hour drinks and a quick dinner. I think it started when our waitress would ask us if we were ready to order and as I was about to ask a question about one of the items on the menu, she was in such a hurry to get to her next table she just cut me off and said, "I'll give you more time." My girl then ordered a "Skinny" Margarita which she tried and said was gross. I actually didn't believe her because she is very judgemental towards food and mixed drinks so I tried it. It was so sour it was actually beyond drinkable and believe me, I'll drink just about anything with alcohol in it. We told our waitress, she apologized, and said she would have the bartender make us a different margarita because she assumed it was just the style of margarita we didn't like. They made another, and it tasted the same... Absolutely horrible. I don't think I've ever refused a drink let alone twice but it was necessary as I truly think something they put in it had gone bad. I then asked the waitress if she could try a sip of it so I can prove we are not crazy but she wouldn't, neither would the manager. Which just made us seem like really picky drinkers, which we are not. I've had hundreds of Margaritas from different places and something was wrong with those two. We then noticed that our food was dropped off at the table next to ours and the people started to eat off the plates. Once they realized their mistake they went over and took the food back from those people and I'm quite positive they weren't going to say anything until the manager saw my girlfriends disgusted face and walked over and said, "So you guys probably noticed we served your food to the wrong table." He asked us if we wanted chips while we wait but we had already ordered some (So I figured at least those would be comped)... Nothing was, not even the Margarita It's too bad because I enjoy the beers and chicken strips and the price isn't terrible but service is a big thing for my gf and I and now they will never have the pleasure of our business again. read more

I've been to this chili's many times. Never had an issue. I went today at lunch and had the worst experience. We sat in the bar area. The lady working the bar was rude and seemed inconvenienced to take our order. When she brought the food. We noticed no napkins or silverware, she seemed annoyed when I asked her to bring some. She never once came back to our table to check on us, refill drink or anything. So then I go to pay the bill on the kiosk and the bill is wrong. I take it up to her at the bar and show her. She looks at me like I'm stupid and says that not the one for you table(it was the one that has been on the table I was sitting at). Then she rudely says she can just reprint it and gives me a dirty look. This lady was having a really bad day or really hates her job. This was a horrible experience... Called for pickup with what was told a 15 minute wait... Which I gave them time and waited 20 minutes (aftrr driving over) at the bar "for my onion rings". Ordered jakepenos for the top of our (2 for $20 burgers) never got them. Ordered a side salad (for my side) never got it. Only 1 burger came with condiments (onion, tomatoes, etc.) Therefore burger was dry (bun, cheese, and bacon), neither were near medium. Rest of the food was cold, as we waited in the onion rings. Do yourself a favor and go to Applebee's, both are same quality but better food. Props to the bartender as he handled that entire side of the building, while everyone else talked in the corner by the bar. And watched my food get cold and incomplete. read more

I've been to allot of Chili's restaurants all over California and I must say this one is less than par for the chain. Our waiter was nice but seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the limited tables he had. The food was just ok! As always the manager asks how everything was and you don't want to throw the college kids under the bus so you say it was fine with a smile. I expect to get what I get with this chain but this place needs better management to improve this place to at least meet the Chili's standard. Bartender is best thing about this experience. Ordered fried pickles for appetizer which is probably one of the grossest things I've ever seen. See attached photo. The worst was that there was garbage left from 3 different previous parties/guests (in front of us, to the side, and in the corner, then near the bar on the way out for the duration of the time I was there and no employees in sight. Visiting from Redding which does not have a Chili's couldn't wait to have some ribs especially with all the advertisement for ribs. Had a good margarita and then ordered ribs. Surprise they're out of ribs. At this point if my wife wasn't so hungry we would of paid for our drinks and gone next door to Logan's. Overheard the next table over ask if they had the sirloin since the last time they were in they were out. Sounds like a reoccurring problem. If you have your heart set on something better ask before being seating if they have it. My wife's fajitas and my chicken ceasar salad were OK. The chicken enchilada soup is horrible. A cup full of chicken, cheese, and tortilla strips but no SOUP. The grilled chicken salad was bland. Ordering online is a hassle. For one thing, they only accept credit cards which is ok but it's dumb to pay a tip before you even get your order. Do they expect their customers to be clairvoyant? You should be able to pay a cash tip. That should be an option. If you say no tip, the server assumes he is getting nothing and you get bad service. I would have never tipped so much if I knew they were going to be 10 minutes late with my order. Over a half hour since I placed my order. The restaurant was mostly empty. Had lunch here yesterday with my wife, the first booth in the bar that we sat at smelled like urine! So we moved, the tables and menus felt as if they had not been cleaned for over a week! Floors and windows dirty! Bar tender was doing everything! So the service was not very good! Food was so bad we didn't finish it and left the rest! Mixed drinks pretty good but was not offered water till we where getting up to leave! The manager was there but wasn't doing anything but standing in the way to the restroom! Chili's is a chain restaurant, so I understand gourmet food is not to be expected. That being said, I still have not been totally satisfied with either the food or service. The most recent visit was just my boyfriend and I, and when we sat down, we were offered chips. No problem, except neither one of us knew they were going to cost us over $3. Nowhere on the menu is there a price for chips, and we didn't know until we got our bill. (from a business point of view, our waiter was a good salesperson for slipping the extra few bucks onto our bill) Next, I ordered a burger, which, I guess Chili's is famous for?? I asked for medium, got well done, and they don't season their meat, so there was NO flavor in my burger. It was also greasy. The amount of fries on my plate was laughable (read: very small amount). We also paid $8 for a couple small egg roll things that were so not worth it. We each had iced tea, paid our $2.50 or whatever for each, and not once were we offered a refill. This is not an isolated case of shoddy service and mediocre food. I have been to Chili's several times and hoped that each time we visited, it would get better. So far, they're getting worse. Unfortunately, I have family members who don't have a picky palate, and they always seem to want to go to places like this. Bummer. read more

Drinks came in a timely manner but the food took forever. We were seated and ordered before the table next to us was seated and they got their food before us and half way finished before we got ours.
