I was able to place an order from my hotel room, drive down the road at the time i wanted to pick it up, and enjoy the meal in my room. I just relocated to Austin and ordered lunch curbside. I placed my order about an hour ahead of time so my order can be ready as soon as my lunch break came. I ordered the sandwich and soup lunch combo and asked for plasticware since that was an option when I ordered online. Well I guess my order was made and sitting there for an hour until pickup time because my fries were cold and soggy, bread was soggy and my To-go box had condensation in it. I didn't get my spoon for my soup so I just had to try to eat it by sipping on it. I've ordered chili's to go multiple times because it's so convenient but I'm not sure I'll order again from this location. Note to self: don't order early because your food will probably just sit there until it's time to pick up instead of someone making it closer to pick up time. read more

From the get go, our experience was poor. We walked in and stood there in the entry way for about 5 minutes as no one greeted us or acknowledged that guests could come in around 130 on a Sunday. The were a few large tables, but it wasn't packed by any means. We also had a large group 7 people, 5 adults and 2 kids. When we were finally greeted, I pointed to a booth in the corner and said that would work fine for us so they wouldn't have to put tables together for us. The server replied with "we don't have any server in that area right now." (Very clear foreshadowing) And she left to go talk to someone about where to put us. At this point I tell my wife "That's good that they don't stick us there, cause we'll probably be forgotten" she comes back and says "We've got a server, we're going to put you in the corner booth." We're meeting a friend and she showed up right on time so we get to talking and the server comes out a few minutes later to get our drink order. She brings back our flavored iced teas and never leaves straws or utensils so we can stir them. We sit for another ten minutes before she comes back and we can ask for them. At this point we also ordered and asked for utensils and straws, which takes another god awful amount of time. When the food finally comes out, all but one dish comes out. We tell the runner what we're missing and he never comes back. We finally manage to flag down another server after some of us are well into our food and she finds the dish immediately and brings it back. The food tasted fine, but it was a very, very poor experience. The reviews here are spot on, be wary coming here. read more

Wish there was a 0 star. We were refused service 45 minutes before closing. We had a party of 13 and were told they only seat 10 or less. We told them we would gladly split up and she went to the back to get the manager and he came out and explained that wit would be a 45 minute wait and we said ok. We love Chili's for a weekend bite. All day Happy Hour on Sundays with food and drink specials. Bartender Steve is great too. Boneless wings - buffalo is okay but not a traditional buffalo flavor. More of a tangy spice. Not very spicey though (which is good for me). I'd try the Chipotle Honey before getting this again. Presidente Margarita is delicious. So is the purple one on happy hour. Fried pickles are good. Very crispy and the batter is nicely seasoned. The pickles are a bit bland but we liked overall. I wish the ranch was better. Tastes like a pour out of a reduced-fat Hidden Valley bottle. The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado was really good!! Swap out the cilantro mayo for another sauce. Big portion too, looks more like 2 medium sized sandwiches. Fries have a season salt which is very good. read more

While we were in Texas, we met up with friends here for lunch. Server was cheerful and refilled our drinks occasionally which was a plus. We ordered a handful of things, burger, mac n cheese, trio combo, skillet platter, scrispy strips and pizza. The food was good and came out quickly. This a review covering our last two experiences with Chili's. About a month ago we went to this location. I ordered the cajun chicken pasta with steamed broccoli. When the waiter brought our food he dropped almost all of the broccoli on the floor. He said "Oh I'm sorry" and picked it up and disappeared. We didn't see him again at our table. Ever. When we wanted to leave my friend had to go find our waiter, who was chatting at the bar. He said he'd bring the check right away. We had to go ask AGAIN for our check. Someone else finally brought it. Fast forward: today we thought "Well, if we don't like the service we'll just have it delivered!" So we ordered online. They completely forgot one of the entrees, not to mention completely ignoring our requests on the order. When I called the restaurant to talk to the manager I explained our situation and was then told that I was wasn't actually talking to the manager but they could put me on hold and try to find them. As far as we're concerned, Chili's, two strikes and you're out. read more

My server Moose was awesome. He came to the table timely to greet me and take my order. I'm on a business trip and requested separate tickets for my dinner and my me time. Stayed in the hotel nearby, so we decided to walk to Chili's. I'm no stranger to this establishment, so I didn't expect any surprises. Before our departure, I checked my Yelp app to see what time they closed (it was already 10:00pm). While on Yelp, I noticed a "wait time" of 8-18 mins. I checked-in via Yelp, then we made our way (1 min walk) across the parking lot. When we walked into the resturant it appeared empty and there was NO wait. Still...it took the host several minutes to recognize we were there and to greet us. We asked for a booth, and the host had to prepare the booth for us (there were no one to bust the tables). We took a seat and waited, and waited, then waited some more. The resturant was empty, but the host was extremely slow. He finally cleaned off the table after someone in our party reminded him we were there waiting. Once seated, we noticed that the booth seats were still dirty, and the floor underneath the booth and surrounding area was disgusting! Evidenced by highly visible food and debris everywhere. There was also a half eaten corn on the cob on the floor to the right of our booth. I personally was grossed out! We took it upon ourselves to switch to a table that was clean. Our waitress (Talia) was nice and did greet us promptly! She was efficient and got our order correct without having to write it down. The end of our meal was pleasant, Talia took care of us! I'm usually a big fan of Chilli's (you have my favorite dessert -Molten Chocolate Cake), but this Chilli's (I-35 North) was highly disappointing. Today we got the chicken crispers and gone was the light airy batter I loved and what was replaced was a tender that even KFC would have been ashamed of. Went here during Havencon (4-28-17 to 4-30-17). My main complaint is how I was treated due to my service dog. When I got in, the host asked the appropriate question (is that a service dog?) and I replied yes. However, he went and got his manager to "make sure". I was fine with this, because I realize fakes are an issue. What really rubbed me the wrong way was that when I asked to be seated at a booth, instead of a table, they didn't want my service dog in the way. I told them she would tuck under the booth, and not be visible. The host seemed kind of annoyed, but obliged. Next time, ask for preference. Booths tend to be easier for service dog handlers because we can just tuck our dog under the booth, and not worry about people gawking or causing a scene. Also, if you have an issue with people who fake their service dogs, read up on the ADA and see what your rights are. Overall, food was good and service was pleasant even when we had a large group. :) read more

I arrived to the restaurant at 3:56pm we where notified there will be a 20 minute wait.Which we agreed to we noticed it was a little busy,so we didn't mind the wait.I received a notification message at 3:57pm notifying me I was added to the wait list,and I will receive a message when are table is ready.As a result 22 minutes go by which I figured they are busy at the moment that's fine no worries.But I noticed people are leaving and there is some empty tables when I walked inside the restaurant. I noticed there was a new hostess but either way I figure they have a system in place so she should know I asked her how much longer for my table and she said that I was taken off the waitlist and I asked well I never received a call nor message so how is that possible.She just kept sayin well that was the other hostess and I showed her the message I received and time and she said idk instead of putting us in front of the list or finding us a table she just offered to add us again and wait 15 more minutes but she wasn't sure.I just told her never mind but come one guys gets it together you have systems in place for these types of reason maybe you consider following them. Meh sums it up perfectly, Yelp. Chili's is the McDonald's of casual dining. No matter which location, it's the same blah food and meh service. Today illustrated that. Host: Eventually wanders up to the host stand. "Two for lunch?" Us: "Yes" Host: "Let me go find a server." (Nevermind that there are plenty of empty tables.) Same host returns and seats us, including the obligatory speech about coloring a picture of a pepper for a $1 donation to St. Jude's Hospital. Waiter: Takes our drink order. Returns with tea. Have to ask for lemons. Returns with lemons and takes our order. Gets my order wrong. I ordered the crispy chicken strips with a side of BBQ sauce, just like the menu lists. The manager brings me chicken strips tossed in some sort of sauce with a side of thin ranch dressing. He apologizes and brings me out the correct order in an almost unbelievable speed, making me think that they were probably either someone else's order or everything was precooked. The waiter returns with the explanation that he thought I wanted the chicken strips tossed in BBQ sauce. Meanwhile, we also have to ask for napkins. Our waiter is hit or miss with his presence. Food: Heavily salted. The chicken strips are super thin and skimpy looking. I'd have done better with almost any fast food chain. Chili's? Why bother? read more

Prices are affordable, even assuming a part time job installing stereos at Best Buy. The seats are wooden but with a cushion. Something that says, "enjoy your time" but also "don't you have somewhere to be? Second base isn't going to steal itself!**" In all seriousness though. Chilis has been putting out some solid burgers, fries and shakes for years now. It might not be gourmet or local, but when grandma sends you a gift card, you can say "at least it's not Applebee's. .... To-go orders are always a hassle for me. They take longer than the estimated wait time. When I dine in the servers rarely check up on my table. I have to constantly aks for a refill instead of the server bringing me one. This specific location is the worst one out the other Chilis i've been to in the Austin. read more

This place has us wanting for about a half hour just to seat us down when there was many tables open, we got seated after 30 min and it took them over 25 min to get us our drinks at this point we where feed up and decided to go it took them over a hour to set us and bring us out drinks, keep in mind this isn't even during rush hour/ lunch time. read more

Not a huge Chili's fan, but not a hater, either. I do *love* their Margarita Presidente, and I've had decent chili there. Sometimes their salads are good, sometimes their fajitas are good, and they've got a pasta/shrimp dish that I've enjoyed from time to time. It's just not consistent. Like this last visit. This was actually the first time we'd been to this location - the one a few blocks further North closed a couple years ago, but I'd never really had a problem there. We waited for what seemed a very long time for the waiter to ever arrive at our table to get our drink order. We were actually ready to order food by then, but didn't get the chance to... Drinks came, and we ordered our food. Again, it seemed to be a very long wait for it to arrive, even though the restaurant didn't look all that busy (I wonder why??). At one point, I saw our waiter standing at the back of the restaurant for a solid couple of minutes, just kind of staring off into space while I was sitting there with an empty water glass that wanted refilling. The food was not outstanding. The kids both got hamburger kids meals, and the little one really didn't care much for hers (she's my finicky eater, but a burger is usually something she likes), and she said the ranch dressing on her salad tasted kind of weird. My older daughter ate hers with little comment, but I do know she was still hungry when we were done. The other adult in the group got the fajitas, and was not happy with them (having ordered them many times before). I got the Caribbean salad. Well, the chicken was fairly tasty, although perhaps a bit dry, and the fruits on the salad were also yummy. But the lettuce wasn't very crisp, and the honey-lime dressing had a lackluster flavor. I was expecting / hoping for more *zing*. It actually tasted like a very mild (and sad) honey mustard - where was the lime? We were left wishing that we'd gone to Applebee's instead. Great place to have drinks and dinner. Bartender and staff are top notch. The only problem I have at this location is that the hostess keeps bringing family's with little children to sit in the bar area while there is plenty of open tables in the dinning area. We are at the bar trying to have dinner and drinks and to watch sports. But all we have is crying babies and children running amok in the bar area. read more

I enjoy a good quick meal every now and then. I typically avoid the chain places due to the lack of healthy options. If you're going to eat at Chili's, just eat and get what you want. No holes barred. All diets are out the window. I recently had the experience of eating at this location. The Old Timer burger with bacon was pretty good. The fries were pretty good as well and they let you get your iced tea to go if your glass is full. I am now full and going back to the JOB tired. The service was really quick and pleasant. The only downfall is probably the cleanliness. The menus and tables are always sticky. I always ask for extra napkins for my silverware placement. My elbows usually wind up sticky also from leaning on the table. I know, bad manners. I'll go back with the lunch crowd but I might take cleaning wipes next time. read more

My husband & I have given Chili's more than enough tries - mainly because their queso is so delicous. But sadly, the yummy food stops there. Personally, I've had the steak, which was salty, the mango chile chicken, which wasn't all that bad, but not great, the mango chile tilapia, which wasn't good at all, and the chicken fajitas, which is probably my favorite so far, but still not anything fantastic. My husband, not as willing to try new things as I, usually gets either the chicken crispers or the chicken pasta, which are both mediocre at best. The drinks are good, but honestly overpriced. For what you pay to get one person decently buzzed here you could buy a decent sized bottle of rum at a liquor store. I mean, you get what you pay for. But you're in Austin, there are a TON of other restaurants if you're willing to look. Don't waste your time here. Although, I will say, overall, the wait time has never been too long, the service always friendly and quick, and I've never had a problem with dirty restrooms. Another thing - I do NOT like the tablets on every table. Being a waitress myself, I find it annoying that the customers can order drinks, desserts, and even pay through the little machine. It pretty much takes all the work out of waiting tables, and if I'm going to tip overly well, I at least want to see some effort. read more

I was just robbed in this restaurant by an obviously drugged out woman. This lady, per the manager, has already robbed them before by stealing the tips and the food in the to go order pickup part of the restaurant. Yet somehow, this lady came in again and approached my table right after I had pulled money out of my wallet and set it on the table. I was then reaching into my pocket to get the tip, and this lady came up and asked me for a couple of dollars for food. I obliged and gave her 2 dollars. She then snatched it out of my hands and then grabbed my money off the table and took off running. My first reaction was to grab her by the arm, and when I did, she fell down. I held her down and asked the employees to call the cops, which they did. My 2 friends jumped up and assisted me. I asked for my money back, and she refused. After holding her down for a few minutes, the manager came over and told me to let her go. Stating that they had already called the cops on this same woman before, and it took forever for them to get there. I wasn't going to hold this person down forever, so I let her go. I'm not a man looking for a handout but I thought afterwards that maybe they would atleast comp my meal or something, considering the fact that they're lack of security or at the very least they're lack of awareness of this person with they're previous knowledge of this woman and her actions. Shockingly, they did not comp my meal or, for that matter, offer me anything. A simple apology is all I received. I'm astonished that a known thief that has already stolen from this store multiple times before was somehow able to get back into the restaurant and rob a customer in front of the entire packed restaurant, and I was told to let her go? So Chili's is apparently okay with people coming into their restaurants and robbing their customers and getting away with it? With no consequences to the thief or compensation for the victim. I asked if I should stay and wait for the police and they said no because it would probably take a long time. I didn't have time for that, so I left in shock that any establishment would ever allow this kind of thing to happen to their customers. So, if you don't like being robbed in public, stay away from here. I'm working out of town right now and unable to be with my wife, yet I still found a way to get screwed on Valentines Day. I usually love Chili's but this last experience I had was disappointing to say the least. My co-workers and I went on our lunch break and waited 15 minutes without anyone coming to even say hi. After about 5 minutes one of my co-workers went to the host to see if someone was coming to attend to us and he said someone would be by soon. Ten minutes later still no one had come so I got up and had to go up to a waiter who then said he'd be on his way. When he got to us, we let him know that we were now in a rush and asked if he thought the food could be out in 20 minutes if we ordered right then. He said it'd be unlikely. I understand that they can't cook quicker but after having had us wait for so long I was hoping the server would try to accommodate us in someway. Say what you want about Chili's, but when you're at a hotel with 25 high school students and 57 middle school students without any transportation, the nearby Chili's starts to look pretty good in terms of affordability and convenience. The team at this particular Chili's managed to seat half of us within the first 5-10 minutes and the rest of us within 30. That's pretty spectacular considering it was 6:30 on a Friday night. I won't bore you with details of the food, because you probably already know what to expect there. It was hot and served relatively quickly, so that's all that matters. read more

Crap rating based on food delivery. The food is what it is; passable, reasonably affordable. The girl at the to go counter was pleasant. I called my order in at 2007. I initially went to the wrong location and arrived at the correct location about 10 mins later than I should have. 3 people were in line, and ordered their food, when I arrived. My receipt shows a paid time of 2044. I did not receive my meal until 2058. The meal should have been waiting on me when I arrived, not delayed another 20 minutes. The first person who had ordered in person received their meal before I did. One of the folks in line ahead of me stated that this location is always slow/late/etc. We will not be ordering from, or visiting, this particular location again. read more

Really what is there to say about chilis. It's a classic chain restaurant the same as every other one generic but neutral and friendly. I seldom come to eat at chilis but every now and then a friend or my partner will want to go. I do enjoy coming and having drinks here and one of the only only thing I ever order is the appetizer sampler or mushroom Swiss burger. I do enjoy it but I feel like its so many carbs and its all deep fried food but it's delicious and enjoyable. Dang you deep fried addiction. All the drinks here are decently priced all the same as other chilis. Some usually stronger than the others depends on who the bartender is but usually kind of consistently the same as the rest. The staff is usually friendly I do like that they team up to help you out and the option to pay at the table is a pretty sweet deal.. I may only eat at this place or one of its restaurants once or twice every couple years but it's usually not a disappointing play. Don't really ever call out any other restaurant but Chilli's always trumps Applebees.. read more
