Very delicious creamy and thick mac and cheese. The chicken was actually slightly too fried for my taste and fried chicken is my favorite food. Delicious G sauce. I got the Naughty Chick with pepper jack Serrano peppers - excellent component to the chicken. Huge sandwich big enough for two people or to save for later. Next time I'll try the tenders and no sandwich to let the chicken shine. Love the complimentary chai tea so flavorful!

This was some of the crunchiest chicken I've had ever, so if you're a fan of the crunch - this is the spot to go. We hit this place up because their chicken is halal, which was fantastic since I was with someone who eats halal only. (Personally, I think the quality of halal meat is better, but that's a discussion for another time.) Regardless, the exterior of the chicken was extremely crunchy, while the interior was still nice and juicy. The man who helped us was also very kind and accommodating. He happily explained some of the menu items to us and easily adapted when we changed our order. He also gave us an estimated time and halfway opened our Jarritos for us to be able to take them back to our hotel since we didn't have a bottle opener. The only gripe I had was that the mac and cheese was bland and wasn't my favorite, but I won't dock them too much for that. I would just recommend getting fries or a different side.

This place makes the best chicken sandwich in the financial district, bar none. It's giant, it's crispy, and the seasoned fries that come with it are also off the hook. It's not terribly expensive by San Francisco standards, only $15. They are not on DoorDash for some reason, but you can order it on Toast, and I recommend you order it ahead for pick up because it generally takes them about 15 minutes to make them; every sandwich seems to be made from scratch.

I showed up as soon as they opened at 11am, which I wasn't sure if that was a pro move or a rookie, because I was the only person in there but it didn't matter I was starving. 1 dude working the entire place, again there might have been more in the back - I think I was the first customer of the day. This guy was a MAGICIAN. food took a bit of time, but it's one guy - what can you do. He delivered hands down the largest chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. It was so crispy, tender, juicy and flavorful with the perfect balance of pickles, sauce, lettuce and tomato. It was SPOT ON. The fries were dece, the mac n cheese better. But you go because of the chicken. Not sure if I'd eat there...kinda looked like a 90's Wendy's with way too much tile and not enough light. But you definitely take out from there.

We ordered the Friend's Meal for takeout online and picked it up in-store. We had the Friend's Meal, which includes 8 pieces of crispy fried chicken, fries, texas toasts, mac & cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was pretty delicious, crispy, flavorful, and satisfying! One highlight was the variety of house sauces! They gave us plenty, and each had its own unique taste, adding a nice touch to the meal.

Came here for a late night snack. We ordered yhe g meal that comes with 4 pieces of chicken and 2 sides. The chicken is freshly fried and delicious, it can compete with Popeyes for sure. The Mac and cheese is nice a cheesy but the seas9n fries were a bit over seasoned and was very salty. I think this is my new go to place for fried chicken in the city.

The chicken is the star of the show. Crispy-fried without being greasy. Servings are generous- I just finished a sandwich and a side of cole slaw, and I'm not proud of myself [starts jogging in place]. Having tried both, I recommend the fried chicken over the sandwich- that beautiful, crispy chicken gets lost in soggy shredded lettuce and a very uninspired bun. And, since the bun is round and the chicken is a strip, you'll have almost as many chicken-less bites as not. It's a good lunch, though, and good for the price here in the Financial District. And, the cole slaw is quite good (if you're a cole slawer).

Horrible ive been 3 times to this exact location and ill never be back. Old grease all of the food has the same burnt grease smell / flavor. Its so dirty the last time i went the pineapple refresher tasted like onions. Food was extremely old. Old chicken they re fried to heat it. The worst is that my last time there 01/24/2026 1:45 pm. The employee gave another customer the wrong drink. He took it back and used the top of the cup to scoop the ice out with his hand (no gloves) then poured the drink back into the machine. Take that as you will. I brought my whole order back. Didnt even bother to ask for a refund. They also did not offer one.

The menu board here is brightly lit, large, and in charge.

Here at Chicken G's for the first time. They only serve chicken products. I'd say the bird is expertly fried. Golden and mightily crunchy. Made fresh. I like the pictures of the food items. Makes it easy to select something, since you can see a preview. The prices, steep. I ordered the Loaded Fries, and they were certainly loaded!!With lots of great toppings. With chicken and cheese and their signature sauces. It was enough for two people, for $15. More than I was expecting to pay, but thank goodness it was large/shareable. They close pretty late. Try to come in before ten though. Before they close off the dining area and mandate that all of the orders will be to-go. Customer service left much to be desired. No big deal though. Great place! I will come in again to sample the sides.

Very good food very nice staff ! Their chicken is absolutely mouthwatering. The ambiance is very nice and spacious they have three floors of seating. And a nice view to look down at passerby's on the third floor. You can literally taste the freshness of the chicken. It's so juicy and always comes out piping hot ! They cook each order as it's placed nothing is premade. That's what makes them great. It does take some time though but it's all for good reason.

The rustic/home style decor was very welcoming and it seemed that a lot of the folks knew the cashiers/barista! Some people even stopped by just to say hi and welcome back the barista that was on leave for a bit. I forget his name, but he was a lovely person to chat with! I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada ($12) and an iced latte with Oat Milk ($6). It took ~15-20 for my burrito but the latte came out within five minutes and was made fresh with Portrero Trade Operations coffee beans! While waiting, I ended up buying a bag of coffee beans with flavor notes that were so unique- "cola, tomato, and herbaceous". For $25 you get a whole pound of coffee beans, which most only offer 12oz now. Get a bag while you can! The breakfast burrito was served with one green and one red salsa plus a small bag of chips. The burrito was decently sized and very juicy. I was a bit sad to see that the cheese wasn't melted inside, but the fresh pico de gallo inside totally made up for it. The carne asada had a great bite to it and everything was seasoned well. The salsa verde was absolutely stunning. Not too acidic and just the right amount of spice to go with my burrito. I ordered for takeout, but next time I'm in the area I'm definitely going to consider dining in for the full experience.

My partner and I ended up getting the margarita pitcher deal that came with 50 wings... (Hear me out). We got pretty tipsy off of the pitcher because the bartender put in a lot of tequila. So it's definitely worth it. We ate as much wings as we could, and saved the rest in our own Tupperware. There was a sign at the bar telling patrons that you couldn't take out any leftovers, but when we spoke to the bartender, he told us that Tupperware would be extra charge so we were lucky that we brought our own at that time. Now, the wings: Some of them were pretty dry. I'm assuming the bar would cook them before the happy hour rush and then they would reheat them with the sauces that people ordered. My partner, and I tried the buffalo, lemon pepper, teriyaki, and mango habanero. The mango habanero was spicy and sweet. I think that was our favorite. I was a little disappointed with the lemon pepper because it was really salty. And the other two were pretty mid. The staff was really nice. The vibes were pretty nice. We were early to the happy hour so there wasn't that much people and we also sat outside in the back patio, which was pretty cool. I could definitely see this bar being a very popular spot. I think if you come here with a big group of people and get the margarita pitcher with the 50 wings, it's a pretty good deal splitting it out with your friends. They have other deals as well where you would get a certain number of wings if you ordered a beer or a beer pitcher, etc. We just wanted to get as many wings as possible and get tipsy lol. I recommend this spot if you're meeting up with friends or had a long day at work.
