I placed an order with the cashier and he was a really nice young man. I asked if he knew what was in the salmon bowl and I pointed to a picture on the wall. He told me everything in the bowl without missing a beat. my coworker said "wow you really know your stuff, that's so awesome" and he just shrugged and smiled. There are cookies on this heated surface by the cash register and oh man they looked so good. My food was prepared really fast. I don't even like sweet potatoes and planned to give them to my coworker but they were so good. I ate my entire bowl and saved the cookie for later. Both were so tasty. Next time, I'm going to get the chocolate cookie and probably the same bowl. I loved it here.

On one visit, I even mentioned that the Rancho location has never made me feel like I'm asking for too much when requesting a little more rice or a side. They provide reasonable portions without making customers feel uncomfortable. Here, the portions are consistently very small, and asking for a little extra often feels like an inconvenience to the employees. I also made the mistake of placing a pickup order once. The portions were even smaller than when ordering in person. Based on that experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering pickup from this location if you expect the same portion sizes you'd receive elsewhere. I still love CAVA as a brand, but this particular location has been consistently inconsistent with portions and customer service. I hope management addresses this because it doesn't reflect the experience I've had at other CAVA locations.
