This location has sadly gotten progressively worse in terms of customer service, order accuracy and portion and quality of the food. When they mess up your order there's no apology. The biscuit sandwiches are dry and small with a very small piece of chicken. The correct sauces are not included. And this is true during multiple dine in visits for breakfast and lunch. The orders for dine in come so slowly and never get offer for drinks refills. read more

This location has its pros and cons, but I have to mention that the clean modern look is very nice. I believe they just opened about two weeks ago, so it seems like the workers are still in training mode. Also, nowhere does it mention that there is only ONE entrance on Lake. There is no entrance on Boylston, so don't even bother turning down that street (dead end). I came here for a late-ish breakfast, and to my surprise the drive-thru line was fairly busy. I ordered the egg white grill, chicken biscuit, and sausage egg and cheese biscuit. From the time I ordered until I left, it took around 12 minutes. Definitely don't expect the service to be fast right now, because they are still trying to get used to the job. I love Chick-fil-A and usually go to the one near PCC. I stopped by this one because I was closer to it. I did the drive thru and their ordering system through their workers is very efficient. Excellent customer service and I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe in a lettuce wrap with waffle fries. The Chick-fil-A sauce is always a must and overall the meal was excellent. First time at this location and not a good experience. There are 2 lanes and I happened to choose lane 1. There was one car ahead of me and a few cars in lane 2. The car infront of me ordered and left then I hear the order taker ask lane 2 what they'd like to order. They ordered and left so I was ready to order but I hear the guy talking to lane 2. I was trying to be patient and they ordered and left. Then the guy goes to lane 2 again. So he took 3 orders and never even took mine. So I just drove up to the window and told them. Soggy old thin chicken with two thick slices of tomato was the first round, sour-watered down lemonade & salty soggy chicken was the second round, final round; fresh crispy fries & chicken however I took 3 bites and the chicken was not sitting well with me and I got food poisoning. Everything we come to this location we look forward to sitting on the patio for lunch. The atmosphere is so nice and the people who work here are very kind and helpful, especially Blain G. He goes above and beyond to make sure that our table is clean, the trash is bussed and that everyone has a smile on his face. Okay, so this is Chick-fil-A, not some fancy, schmancy restaurant. Their food it predictable and that's part of what makes it good . . . always tasty, well prepared, etc. But what really makes Chick-fil-A distinctive is customer service. I tried to call ahead to make sure that they still had the seasonal peppermint milkshake as I knew it was expiring today and I would've gone to another location if they didn't have it. Unfortunately, they let the answering machine pick up so I assumed they must have it since it was on their menu to order for pick up so I placed my order. (it's important to note that the owners other location in Pasadena, had removed that flavor from the menu, so they have the ability to do that when they're out of some thing.) When we got to the drive-through, my mom was in the driver seat and saw that the milkshake was white so she asked if it was a peppermint milkshake and the guy who gave her the order, said that it was. I didn't see it wasn't pink until we got home; I tasted it and looked at it and could tell that something wasn't right because I'd ordered a peppermint milkshake from another Chick-fil-A a few weeks prior and I know what they're supposed to look like (pink with chips, like the photo.) It also didn't taste right at all. So I called them back and NOW (when it really didn't matter as much because there's nothing they can do now after I wasted my points), they DO answer the phone! :-/ They told me they had run out of the pink mix with the chips so had to use peppermint "flavoring" in the milkshake (which is definitely not what it tasted like). so I ended up with what looks like a vanilla milkshake with peppermint syrup, and no chocolate chips. They told me that the employee who gave us the milkshake, should've told us that and that they were offering chocolate chips with a milkshake, but the employee did not offer us anything, nor did he even seem to be aware that this was not the usual milkshake (which is pretty scary considering this is supposed to be one of the nicer fast food restaurants out there). This is not something that they can remedy because it is the last day of the promotion. Given they'd run out of the mix, I asked why it was even available on the app as the Colorado Pasadena location had it removed from their app. The employee claimed they "can't do anything to the app" and yet SOMEHOW, the Pasadena Colorado location (with the same owner) was able to. so the excuse doesn't really ring true. Also, they charged me $..25 for an unbuttered bun for my sandwich that was supposed to be free from a survey I filled out. Seriously? Charging for NO butter, makes NO sense, and so much for my "free" sandwich. (That's the last time I spend my time to take one of their surveys!) according to the person, I spoke to there, it's a glitch with the Chick-fil-A system (that has never happened to me at any other Chick-fil-A) but they told me that when placing an order online, if you remove the buttered bun and add an unbuttered bun, they charge you as if you're adding an extra bun. I tried to get them to explain the rationale behind that to me, and they again tried to blame the app but I've never been charged for an unbuttered bun before except by this location today. Both Pasadena locations which are owned by the same person, now let the answering machine answer most of the time and tell you to leave a message or "send a text." (?!) I did send a text and it wasn't returned. I saw later that someone called me back on my phone three times and didn't leave a message; apparently that was them. Why call and not leave a message? It's ridiculous, considering what they charge. Letting calls go to an answering machine is not some thing any other Chick-fil-A does, so given all of this, the CFA Pasadena locations do not provide the level of service and quality I've come to expect from the years of eating Chick-fil-A. And now I have to wait an entire year to get another peppermint chip milkshake because this Pasadena location couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone or remove the product from their available seasonal menu like their other Pasadena location did. I would've just gone to the one in Glendale at the Americana located five minutes from my house (which had the milkshake) but there's nowhere to park there so I drove 20 minutes to go to a drive-through. The company also makes it a laborious nightmare to get a hold of someone when you have an issue with your order. Calling Chick Fil A Cares doesn't solve the problem usually. In my case, they didn't even file a complaint with the store. I had to call the store myself and speak to three people before I got it addressed. I recently got a survey asking me if I thought Chick-fil-A cared about me as a customer and my answer is "Hell, no!" read more

I spent 20 minutes waiting for my curbside order (with a projected wait of 4-9 minutes and supposedly 'on its way' three minutes into the wait) before sticking my head inside. There was a gaggle of people waiting to have their orders taken by the lone man at the register. One person is running orders to tables while four people are taking it easy at the drive thru window, making light conversation with idle hands. I advocate for slacking off when it's not busy, but this wasn't the time. How was that fair to the two guys trying to keep the boat afloat? How was that fair to the people waiting to order?
