I keep giving this Chick-fil-A another chance because it's conveniently located close to my home, but unfortunately my experiences have been getting worse instead of better. Last week, a large order for my family was incorrect, which was frustrating but something I could overlook if it was a one-time mistake. This week, however, my meal was much more concerning. The chicken I received was soggy and appeared undercooked. The experience was so unpleasant that even thinking about it now makes me feel sick. One of the reasons Chick-fil-A has such a strong reputation is because customers expect consistency, quality, and attention to detail. Sadly, that has not been my experience at this location. There seems to be a noticeable difference in food quality and overall execution compared to other nearby Chick-fil-A locations, including the PCC area restaurant, where I've consistently had much better experiences. I'm not writing this to be negative. I'm writing it because I genuinely hope management takes a closer look at what's happening here. Mistakes happen, but recurring issues with order accuracy and food quality are concerning. I would love to see this location improve because it is so convenient for the surrounding community, but right now it's becoming difficult to justify coming back. Long story short, I ordered in the drive thru, they were having constant issues with the card machine not working. Employee that took my order told me I was good to go, at this moment I assumed there were no issues. Once I got to the window to receive my food they told me I had to pay again because first payment didn't go through. Payment did go through and was reflected on my account. I parked and went inside, spoke to Manager Blain. He mentioned I did have to pay for the 2nd time as first payment would be refunded. Sat in my car for a while trying to get in contact with my bank. I'm honestly really disappointed with my drive thru order this morning. I paid $5 for a medium fruit cup and what I got was basically a half empty cup with soggy, unfresh fruit. We were greeted immediately when we arrived but we weren't quite ready to order so they said they would be ready when we were. I appreciate that the children's meals offered fruit and Honest Kids apple juice which is a healthier option than other fast food restaurants. The order taker was very pleasant and welcoming, took the order accurately and offered to help carry things to the table since we were juggling young children. Our order was delivered timely and they made sure to ask if we needed anything else. The order was delivered timely and the food was delicious. Generally service ends there but they really went above and beyond on their follow up after the food was delivered. They came to our table FOUR times to see if we needed anything else, including drink refills. They are soft opening now, 6/22/23 is their actual grand opening! Soft opening is open to the public at various times drive through only. For friends and family they are giving out biscuits and sandwiches and sometimes free parfait. Yes a little bit slow in the ordering process but this soft opening so they're in training mode. I see the trainers are watching over the staff and making sure the experience is great for guests and team members. Two ordering lanes; these new stores are really emphasizing the pickup experience. The location is very clean, and they bring your food to where you're sitting even though waiting for togo. Very nice people and service. The only issue I have with ordering my food here is I don't realize I get charged a couple cents extra even for a regular/medium size drink. It is not an upgrade- it just comes with the meal. I don't realize it until I see the receipt. I wish I was notified before. So for people who don't know- now you do. I would just get a small size if you do not want to be charged a couple cents extra and if you are okay with a small size drink. Easy to miss the turn in if you're driving fast. This location has sadly gotten progressively worse in terms of customer service, order accuracy and portion and quality of the food. When they mess up your order there's no apology. The biscuit sandwiches are dry and small with a very small piece of chicken. The correct sauces are not included. And this is true during multiple dine in visits for breakfast and lunch. I believe they just opened about two weeks ago, so it seems like the workers are still in training mode. Also, nowhere does it mention that there is only ONE entrance on Lake. There is no entrance on Boylston, so don't even bother turning down that street (dead end). I came here for a late-ish breakfast, and to my surprise the drive-thru line was fairly busy. I ordered the egg white grill, chicken biscuit, and sausage egg and cheese biscuit. From the time I ordered until I left, it took around 12 minutes. Definitely don't expect the service to be fast right now, because they are still trying to get used to the job.
