Great - fast. Go to them for your car key replacement or duplicate over your dealer. Toyota quoted me twice as much for the same service. Only downside is that for car key duplicates, Chicago Locksmiths is having to constantly adjust to the ever-changing car key tech. Our tenants moved out without returning a set of basement door keys. Instead of attempting to get them back, hubby and I decided to "unify" locks of all the doors with one (1) key. We didn't want to wait too long on getting this project done, and it happened to be a Sunday. Fortunately, "Chicago Locksmiths" on Milwaukee Ave., near the Western O'Hare Blue Line station opens daily. We went in and immediately were assisted by one of the young men behind the counter. Initially, we request two (2) deadbolts, two (2) door knob locks, and one (1) old-schooled, large rectangular metal lock. However, the young man asked us if our front door lock worked well enough to be kept. The answer was affirmative. He then suggested that we bought one (1) deadbolt, two (2) door knob locks, and one (1) old-schooled, large rectangular metal lock to save some money since our front door was a deadbolt. After we gave him our front door key to him, he told us to come back after two (2) hours so that he could start preparations for our and other customers' orders. As promised, all work was completed within the expected time frame. All locks we purchased were commercial grade. We really didn't think having these sturdy locks was a overkill because the safer the better in my opinion. Together they cost $214 after tax. Honestly, I thought we would pay close to $500. Hubby was the handyman since he had done something similar to this before. The installations were pretty straightforward. So far the locks have been working great! I definitely will patronize "Chicago Locksmiths" again for their prompt, professional, and informative service.
