This brunch spot was nice. The pancakes were to die for. The best I've ever had. 10 for 10 and the chicken sandwich was excellent . The atmosphere was a tad bit small for my preference but cozy and the service was great. All in all I must try and I'll be back when I'm in town for business.

I'm not usually a sweet breakfast person but these pancakes were phenomenal. Perfectly crisp edges and fluffy interior, very subtle lemon flavor, and served with high quality butter. Probably the best pancake I've had in my life. The shakshuka (it has a different name on the menu but this is how they referred to it) was solid but nothing to write home about. The aioli the chips came with was one of the best I've had. Food was hot and service was excellent - we were about 20 minutes late for our reservation and they managed to find us a spot at the bar despite it being a packed Sunday morning.

We all agreed that the pancakes were good for first bite, but afterwards it was just too heavy and oily from the butter. Maybe some people love it, but it's too much for me ‍ I did like the fries though..but overall the experience was quite hectic and we felt we were somewhat being rushed.

Didn't have a resy, so we got in line before opening and was able to get seated outside right away! It's a small space inside, so I appreciate the outdoor seating. We got the quiche, which was a little too creamy for my liking and was cold/didn't have much flavor. My friends got the egg sandwich with bacon and really enjoyed it. My other friend got the shakshouka and they first forgot to bring bread with it and then she found a large egg shell - overall it was an okay dish. The star here is the pancake - fluffy, but also has a crispy outer later. I'd def come back for the pancakes as their food items were mid and a bit pricey.

Made sure to get their famous pancakes when going for brunch recently. Although I do agree that they tasted amazing, I thought they were extremely heavy and after eating about half of a pancake it was hard for me to finish. However this is just my personal preference and can see how it's a crowd favorite! I made sure to order a few other dishes with my group to balance out the heaviness of the pancakes and that seemed to do the trick. We were able to snag a last minute reservation online and overall glad we went. The staff were great and super friendly. They even gave us some recommendations for local bakeries

Tuna tartare - really a portion of two spoonfuls...

Came here for date night as my partner and I were curious about the dinner menu since we loved having brunch here. We were deeply disappointed in the dinner appetizers and desserts...the two stars are for the dinner entrees - steak and fennel sausage. We paid $180 for a really small portion of country pate, tuna tartare, a chocolate cake drenched in olive oil (overpowered the chocolate and made our tastebuds feel very confused), and an over sugared lemon meringue tart that did not have much citrus to it at all... Also, we wished more bread would be served for the price point we were paying... We left deeply disappointed and that our money did not go to good use :( Will not return for dinner service again....

My picture does not do it justice as I rushed to devour it but I'm obsessed with the egg sandwich (with sausage added) - the perfect fluffy eggs and buttery brioche bun. Don't miss out on the fries and aioli as well

Had a great Sunday brunch experience in Greenpoint :) I've been meaning to try this place since I been recommend by many people! It was Sunday around noon time. It was packed! The place welcomed you with warmth, great hospitality! It was perfect for the cold weather. We luckily got a counter sheets and were so appreciated. Obviously we wanted the pancake! And which... was magical. So fluffy and really yummy! Perfect combination with the butter and maple syrup. YOU MUST TRY. Also the Seasar salad was so well marinated and delicious. We almost ordered too much but it was a good amount. You can ask to the waiters they are friendly and let you know what you need. That was so lovely and you can 100% trust me!

Everything we tried off the brunch menu delicious, with the pancakes, chips & aioli and biscuit being the standout dishes. They also had a very solid cold brew. The restaurant is brightly lit and the noise level was ok. It was chaotic as it was a Saturday afternoon, and service was a bit lackluster. Some of our items took ages to come out and it was tough to track someone down, though the staff were very nice and accommodating when we were able to get their attention. This is a great brunch spot and I'd come back for the food alone! Those pancakes are living in my head rent-free.

Probably my favorite chicken Milanese ever! Plus the scallop was unreal. Also some of the best hummus I've ever had. I will be back!

Solid brunch spot that I would return to. Cozy, bright ambience in a relatively small space. Noise level is loud though - music blaring and lots of chatter, which is the main downside here. Yes, Sunday noon is peak activity but seriously, you can hear this restaurant from a block away. The pancakes ($18) are indeed delicious. The char on the edges provides a satisfying crispiness in each bite, and the center is fluffy. I do wish this came with fruit, for a burst of tartness and color. The quiche ($22) is also pretty good; it's a tall slice and it's soft when you cut into it. The salad is a bit scant, wish there was more. Price feels a bit steep for this. Food arrives quickly, for us within 10 mins of ordering. Get a resy in advance or show up late afternoon for a walk-in.

Chez Ma Tante is a good brunch place however French food is not for everyone. The egg sandwich was delicious and I loved the pancakes. The pancakes come with a lemon butter that made it seem light and fluffy. The shakshouka was not my favorite, I definitely think they could have provided more than 1 bread slice which was cut into two pieces. The Bellini seemed a little small for $17. I would only come back for the pancakes!

Chez Ma Tante blew me away with their brunch it was absolutely spectacular and I would highly recommend to anyone who loves French cuisine and of course a nice stack of crispy, buttery pancakes. My friend and I came here around noon for brunch and we started with the quiche. I normally am not a fan of peas but the ones in this quiche were so fresh and had a nice bite to them. The quiche was so soft and the side salad paired with it had an addictive vinaigrette. Our next meal was the Kedgeree, which when we received it, we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was poached cod in the dish which we didn't realize when we looked at the menu! The kedgeree however was done so fantastically well that I might just be coming back for this specific dish. The fish was incredibly soft and the rice was so flavorful! I typically don't like celery either but here it worked! All the flavors and ingredients somehow paired well and it was a fantastic dish. We of course couldn't leave without a stack of cakes and these were incredibly crispy with a hint of citrus in each bite. One of my favorite stack of pancakes in the city, hands down.

This place was the winner, and it was everyone's first time. We got in at our reserved time, and we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. Once it was, we were taken care of and quite frankly had no idea what treat we were in for! Let's start with the drinks. They have a drink on the menu called Celadon City. Who won the staff as a pokémaniac?! I had to get it just for the name. The rice vodka, yuzu, melon liqueur, and other flavors made it a fantastic, summery drink. My friends got the Smooth Landing & Smooth Talker ... One was a fantastic dirty martini and the other had the best bite of ginger. The food... Oh my God. We decided to split the breads and spreads and burrata... Each came with their housemade grilled focaccia, and the smoked paprika hummus and ricotta with chili honey? WHEW! The burrata dish with the sweet potato, pesto and tomato jam was a hit too. The menu didn't even say I'd have a balsamic drizzle on top! All of that was just the warm up... My gnocchi dish was spectacular. I'm not even a big mushroom person, but those oyster mushrooms and charred kale were a hit in the pasta. My friends' gigli pasta and mussels were great too. We ended up sharing a bottle of white wine as well, and the dinner was truly a 5/5. 0 I would absolutely go back, and it seems like their menu changes every now and then. I'm looking forward to the next time! Even if it's just for a cocktail.

It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!
