Unbelievable food, great service and it's beautiful inside! My family went for Father's Day and had an amazing lunch! Sandwiches were so good and on the best bread! read more

We were able to sneak in a 5:30 pm reservation on a Saturday night. This place is clearly in demand at the moment...particularly given the appetite for Persian cuisine as well as its prime location within the heart of downtown Roswell. I should note that parking can be a challenge, so plan ahead for that. The hostess was immediately friendly and brought us to our table. The place was bumping even though it was still relatively early. Not a large venue but certainly sufficient to create a trendy vibe. There's some interesting artwork on the walls, coupled with a shelf that encases various well designed, plates and cups...all hanging below some industrial piping. Meanwhile, look towards the bar, and you'll observe a very different aura with backlit liquor bottles and greenery hanging from a wooden fixture. For food: We got the heirloom tomato salad, the kashke bademjan, the chelo dip, and the lamb koobideh side. The salad was interesting given some uncommon inclusions, namely the crispy pita bread. I don't really care for that in a salad, but this at least added some cool texture. The kashke bademjan was a reasonably sizable portion; it was tasty but not necessarily that unique from comparable dishes at other Persian restaurants. The chelo dip was appealing since it contained a motley crew of flavorful ingredients. I should note that the labneh is a bit on the creamier/fattier side, so just know that going into it. Probably best not to overdose on it like we did. The lamb side was excellent...even came with tomato and pepper that made it a complete dish in and of itself. It didn't come with the rice (the entree, however, does), but we didn't need the rice. Oh, and ask for some sumac as a condiment! We also enjoyed the dessert, particularly the baklava ice cream sandwich, which was delectable with a combination of crunchiness and sweetness. Again, best to share. read more

we ordered: drinks: pina crystalada and radiance app: feta rolls main: salmon kebabs and filet kebabs Everything was delicious! The service was fast and nice! We sat out on the patio and it was so cute read more

My daughter wanted me to try Persian food so I took her and fiancé to Chelo for dinner. I loved the decor and atmosphere and the service was excellent. We all three ordered appetizers and they were dropped off quickly and all were very fresh and tasty. For our meals we ordered lamb chops, lamb koobideh and beef koobideh so we could share and compare. My daughter and her fiancé loved them all and they would certainly have given Chelsea a 5 star rating. I'm guessing that Persion cuisine is just not my thing because none of the entrees made me want to come back. I expected more flavor but all three seemed bland to me. Overall that's two 5 stars and one 3.5 star from our group. read more

Great food, ambience and service. Highly recommend. My husband and I went for the NYE pre-fix menu.

Everything about this place is spot on. Food, service and decor all 5 star. Second time I was there and just a fantastic lunch. Best rice I have ever put in my mouth. This place is truly a hidden gem in Roswell. read more

We absolutely loved Chelo! I am falling deeper and deeper into a mad obsession with Persian food! Chelo really encouraged my addiction with the most flavorful meats, and crispy rice! We loved everything about Chelo. The dim-lit candlelight ambiance, decor and size of the restaurant itself. Our server Ian greeted us promptly. He was super personable and attentive. Ian helped guide us on a few of our entrees. We ordered several appetizers, a couple of salads and entrees to share. Everything was fantastic! First off, the Feta Rolls, OMG. Make sure everyone at your table gets to try one. The sweet and savory together is so good! The Chelo Labneh, so good with the naan bread, fried cauliflower was also great, and of course the Dolmas, which was good and rice wasn't too mushy or overcooked. Chicken Barg- fantastic, would definitely order again, Lamb Kebob-tender flavorful, would definitely order again, Beef Koobideh- also flavorful and so good, Chilean Sea Bass-winner and all time favorite! Would order this over and over again! The Sabzi Polo Rice and Saffron Rice were awesome sides and will forever love the crispiness of the rice and flavors! We had such a great evening, and can't recommend enough. Besides, downtown Roswell gives you the option to walk a bit after dinner. Thanks Chelo for a memorable meal! read more

Food was yummy. Service was good until after 2 hrs in the middle of our meal they asked us to leave because we were there for 2 hrs. And it wasn't anywhere close to restaurant closing time either. I see several other customers have also complained about the same issue. As a business major from an Ivy League school I don't think I need to tell any business that customer comes first. It was like saying to us we think we have enough of your money bye bye!! I loved the food but after spending 400$ and could have ordered more don't want to be driven out of a restaurant in 2 hrs when we were having a quiet family night out. I can't go back there or recommend this place. Not sorry. They should apologize for extremely poor customer service. read more

Wow! We tried Chelo for the first time for our anniversary dinner and we were so impressed! The food was amazing...the flavors, the presentation. 10/10 The intimate vibe inside the restaurant was my favorite!! We enjoyed the cocktails, the Oasis was the best espresso martini I have ever had! Henry was awesome, so personable and attentive! We will be back! read more

First thing, when you walk in the ambiance is amazing! The service is so efficient and nice. We grabbed an amazing drink at the bar and were seated in no time. Had Val as a server and she had great food recommendations. 10/10 date night or night with the girls spot, will be back! read more

Food does not taste authentic. Service is really bad. Ambiance and the quality of the meat, however, was good.

This place was excellent. For being open 6 weeks, other restaurants need to learn from the team here and their level of service, I was impressed. We got the Kashke Bademjan which was delicious and I had the Chinjeh. I highly recommend both. Will be returning soon. read more

Great ambience, nice decor, good service and good food. We got the Soltani and salmon and they were all so good. We got the shirin polo... it wasn't your typical shirin polo but was good. The halva ice cream was not to our liking (it was halva ardehhhh) but we liked the pistachio icecream. read more

The food is soooo good!Lamb kabobs are my favorite. Even the fries are delicious, shaped like little scoops with the tahini ketchup dipping sauce. The Ambience alone is enough to keep coming back. The staff was superb to say the least. read more

We did take out of the chicken barg and shirin rice. The rice still had the crunchy crust even with takeout. Honestly, one of the best meals I have had. The flavor was amazing and the chicken was incredibly tender. I can't wait to check out the restaurant and doing inside. read more

They do an amazing job here. Such commitment by the entire staff. Will definitely be back

Returned to Chelo on Easter & had our first look at their new brunch menu. We were very happy that all rice options were available to order since the wraps came with fries - & they were very good fries too. There are entrees as well that fill out the abbreviated menu & include a side of eggs. My salmon-potato patty was delicious. Chicken wrap & Salmon wrap looked good with the fish getting two thumbs up & friend's chicken wrap was made better by an addition of harissa that was requested as a side add on condiment that we had to ask for a number of times before it was delivered- no biggie, but when delicious desserts came well before our requested coffees, we wondered, what was up with that. We eventually determined that the coffee service is something that is handled by only certain employees so that is probably why there was a wait. Chelo has a nice little deck out back for al fresco dining & the inside ambience is as nice during the day as it is at night. read more

Unbelievably good! Beautiful interior, great atmosphere, with very happy and attentive waitstaff. The food was exquisite!! Dill Labneh was light and tasty. The Lamb Kabob was so good. The real star of the show tonight was the Chinjeh--tender, marinated and cooked to perfection; all presented beautifully with Chelsi's uniquely prepared saffron rice. Words are a poor substitute for the culinary experience we had tonight. You have to try Chelo: we cannot wait to go back read more

Excellent drinks, food and service. The Jess and the purple drink were a hit. We also shared a bottle of Malbec. The lamb kabobs were amazing with the rice with dill. I highly recommend it! We will definitely be back again! read more

First of all, Chelo is an amazing space when you walk in! It's brick and beautiful and the booths are super cozy. The first time I went here the waiter I had was decent, but since then everyone has been top notch (and I've never seen that person again). All the appetizers are great. I love the baba ganoush. The fattoush salad is crunchy and refreshing! For an entree the shrimp are huge and so delicious! But honestly most of the time we just eat a lot of mezzes! read more

Amazing food. Every dish we tried was so full of flavor! Loved the fusion between the Persian and Turkish flavors. Service was also fantastic! The inside is not very big which made it very cozy and comfortable, and they also have outdoor seating. Will definitely be back. read more

This was the first time I dined at Chelo the middle eastern restaurant in Roswell. The completely designed interior is both comfortable and pleasing. Our server Val was competent, friendly and professional. Our party of five each ordered different menu items. The portions were large. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was wanting. Each of our dishes had overcooked rice and overdone seasoning. My $38 Lamb kabob was so overcooked it was barely edible. My party was finishing up so it was too late to reorder. I asked Val to tell the chef about the lamb. A manager came over and gave me a free ice cream. Our tab was just under $300. The dinner was not worth the price. As we were leaving I asked the manager who the middle eastern chef was. He pointed to the two Mexican guys in the kitchen. Chelo needs to do better. read more

I booked Chelo for my friend's 50th birthday dinner, and put those details in the notes for the Toast reservation. No mention or attention was given to it. Our server, Katarina, was friendly but inattentive, and we had to flag her down to order, pay, etc. She didn't explain the billing process, so we sat at our table waiting to pay until we noticed on the bill it was self-serve. The food was beautiful and delicious, but the poor service overshadowed our experience. read more

Wow!!! Tried this place today for lunch with my friends and wow!! So yummy!! Wonderful ambience and our server, Esme, was lovely. She was well informed with recommendations for both drinks and food and super friendly. The food was fresh and delicious! Our drinks were crafted perfectly. My new favorite place! Consistently delicious. Everything I've tried I have liked. My favorite is probably the salmon. The rice is all excellent. The Persian smoke cocktail is unique. We always look forward to visiting. A great addition to Roswell's restaurants. They have a handful of parking places and valet. We usually park at city hall and walk over Alpharetta street at the traffic signal crosswalk. read more

Food was great. Service was mediocre. Our server just seemed a little stand offish. Ambiance is nice!

Easily one of the best meals I've had in 2024. The Sparkling Berry cocktail was beautiful and refreshing. The Chilean Sea Bass is melt in your mouth delicious. Everything had incredible flavors and the service was wonderful. read more

Excellent meal with wonderful flavors. The little traditional nibbles they bring to the table with bread are so tasty- nuts, cheese, radish, etc. We had the appetizer trio which was delicious and filling. The tahdig rice is a must- it gets crispy on the bottom of the pot when they cook it. I had the adas polo version with saffron, lentils, raisins. Delicious! The cherry chamborg ice cream was fine, but I don't need to order it again- kind of basic. Service and ambiance were both good. This place is popular, so a reservation is usually necessary. Allow a few extra minutes to find parking. They have a small lot, but if it's full, paid parking is nearby. read more

Amazing experience, food, drink and service was second to none. Perfect Valentine's day meal. We will be back.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of the time limit 2 hrs they give patrons to eat. Went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. I kept looking at the clock to make sure we didn't exceed the time allocated . I never got to order any dessert . I understand the need to turn tables. Also our server ignored us most of the time. I would rather go where a business appreciate their customers. The food was great. Had to chow it fast read more

Had dinner with friends at this restaurant tonight. Great experience. Love the ambiance and decor - well done on the ceiling that adds character and keeps the noise down. Service was great. We really enjoyed the food - both appetizers and entrees. The food quality was outstanding. Entrees are large portion, so easy to share or take some home. The bar looked great and we look forward to coming back. The owner (Matt) made it a point to come to our table twice and ask about the experience. This is a new gem in downtown Roswell. read more

They ignored me - the hostess literally stood there with her arms crossed - won't be spending my money there ever

Very unprofessional people I'm not going back and tell all my friends not to go there the place is empty and they don't want to set you because you didn't call first the food portion is very small and very pricey the table for two people is also so small you can hardly put food and drink and if you don't have reservations they put you there I think is the punishment they give you for that all I can say good luck I give them max 3 months the way the people work there I don't think they make it far I hope the owner knows what is happening at the front and the problem by the way make sure you eat before you go there they take so long to bring you your food do go there if you really hungry and didn't make reservations read more

The food was delicious and delicately presented. Do not experience this restaurant without trying their rice!
