It was nice and tomatoey with the smokiness from the eggplant coming through. I wouldn't say I liked it more than another place's though. The presentation of the food is pretty simple, but that does not detract from the taste. This is especially so with the chicken barg, which I found to be tender and filling, and the tomato with it was very juicy. I only wanted to order it because I saw that it was very popular here. Perhaps I should've went with the barg kabob since another friend swears by it and orders it every time. We ended with baklava, and wow! There was more filling than I normally get elsewhere, plus it was surprisingly not dry either. The filling really held itself well. There didn't seem to be much syrup on the plate, but the bottom layer did not disappoint either. It was hard to cut through as it soaked up all the sweetness. Altogether a delicious dessert. Probably near the top of the baklavas I've had. Also, if you get one of Rumi's sodas, like the peach soda, don't let it sit for too long. The lime and ice will dilute the flavor of the drink until all you can really taste is carbonated lime at the end. Whoops.

Decor was excellent. A beautiful entryway, muted lighting, muted noise. Service was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The chicken strips are tender and flavorful (I like the olive oil and seasoning) and the hummus and taziki [sic] dip are tasty too. I also like the pepperoncini and Kalamata olives in the salad and how good the pita chips taste on their own (they're addictive). The menu description for the hummus is "[a] puree of chickpeas, tahini, touch of cumin, and lemon juice" and for the taziki dip is "Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, and a hint of lemon." Based on what I tasted, I think these descriptions are accurate. Taziki's is a chain with over 110 locations nationwide. The most locations are in Alabama (the business was founded in Birmingham in 1998) and Tennessee. As of April 25, 2026, there are seven locations in Georgia: six in metro Atlanta and one in Athens.
