We ate at Cheddar's, and it wasn't very good. My husband ordered a hamburger, and it was cold. I had the salmon, and it didn't taste good. My son ordered the shrimp Alfredo--he didn't really like it, but he still ate it because he was hungry. The service was not good, it took a long time to order your food, and then coming out was long too. read more

Placed order via website. The coupon for free dessert did not go through, so I called the store before placing order. Was told that they can help me in the store. I get there and it literally takes 20 + minutes for them to prepare a slice of cake with ice cream on the side with no nuts. I had told the individual I spoke to when I called 30 minutes prior to arriving. My food was so cold when I arrived home. I only ate a little. The additional 20-30 minutes awaiting a dessert is ridiculous!!!! Someone told me that they were struggling scooping the ice cream!! Like really??? The ice cream received was clearly freezer burnt! This location has always struggled with communication and preparation!! If you order a meal the fries are hot but fish cold, hamburger fresh but fries cold. The cooks should do better on timing and they would have a great restaurant. read more

Great service and great food especially the tender fall off the bone ribs!!! Get there before the crowd and enjoy!

This was our first time here and WOW! The customer service was fabulous! The lady in the front that is Filipino is super sweet! She greeted us and made us feel at home. Our waiter Lena was wonderful! She treated us like family and had great customer service skills! The baked potato soup was DELICIOUS! I could eat this soup everyday! Our sandwich and burger was tasty! I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade! The croissants were fresh out of the oven as well. The manage Richard asked about our meal and told them everything was fabulous! He gave us a cookie to take home for the road! We loved this location and will be back very soon!! Thank you all to a great experience even though we were just visiting. We live about two hours away! We will be back! read more

If I could give this review a zero rating I would. Possibly the worse customer service experience I've ever had. We waited almost 2 hours for our food. Supposedly they're were extremely behind and busy. But the people who were sat after us received their food. We asked for the Manager several times and we were told the manager was extremely busy. Uhm no. Horrible customer service and would not recommend eating there. read more

Staff did a Great job on our to go order. We had a large 20 meal order for our wrestling team and they had me back to my hotel with teams food. Definitely going back when we wrestle at regionals. read more

Terrible Waited almost 20 minutes before someone finally noticed I wasn't being waited on. The thing worse than that is I had to wait over 20 minutes just to get a table and the entire restaurant was practically empty. I put this a 100% on terrible management. read more

We had a few minor issues with our meal, including a bit of a soupy chicken pot pie. However, the manager, Aaron, personally ensured that the issue was corrected and then went absolutely above and beyond to make sure the rest of our meal was perfect and even treated us to dessert. Totally unexpected in the best way possible. Customer service like this doesn't exist anymore, but I will definitely be back to support a restaurant and staff that understands the value of it. read more

Good food and plenty of it at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is nice and the honey-buttered croissants are to die for. Had chi Ken tenders that were perfectly fried in a light crisp crust and served with seasoned French fries and coleslaw. I paid a little to get the house salad instead of slaw. My wife had chicken fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both dishes were very good a d we ended up with lunch for tomorrow as well. read more

This location has some really terrible customer service! I came one night to get seated and the restaurant was slow, the girl who was seating me stated the wait would be an hour and a half! She clearly was trying to turn us away at the door so they would not seat us, the restaurant was filthy on the inside and tables had not been bussed. There was NOT a bunch of people there!!! I used to work in the food industry, this girl was extremely lazy and just wanting to not take any more customers.... When I told her that's fine for the wait time (just to see her reaction and if she would continue to lie...), she then very awkwardly and obviously writes down the reservation in the book and proceeds to say out loud "ohhh ok, party of two that will be an hour and a half wait, for two...you can wait outside if you want and we will call you. ( the crazy part is she didn't even get my phone number) I asked to speak with a manager who then the girl grabs another 'server' who lies to me and states the kitchen is backed up!!! I again ask to speak with a manager who comes out and tells me the kitchen is not backed up and that we should be seated immediately and he was us sure why those two girls working there would say that! We were seated in a very back dirty section where every tables was dirty, the servers there were all sitting around and appeared to not have any sense of urgency. After waiting and not being greeted once seated my friend and I decided to leave. read more

Chicken tender is not tender at all. Fastfood tenders are better. Overall the food isn't good. Our server probably forgot about checking us out, had to wait so long. Beware ordering those potatoes, it'll be either overcooked or undercooked. read more

Cheddars is top of my list for a hood house salad with ranch. I like that they give you 2 ranches now. Reviews are bad about service but that's never been my experience. It's been a little while since last ate here but I loved the chicken fried steak as well as their fried shrimp. They offer a nice selection of sides as well. The inside was comfortable and didn't seem to be over crowded with too many tables or booths. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who was really attentive to our table. Recommend you try it. read more

went last night 2/8/25 and ordered the spinach dip and New Orleans pasta. I get these items almost every time we come to this location and last night, rather than being given a spoon to stir there was a chip placed in the artichoke dip as if that was supposed to be used as the spoon. Then upon receiving the pasta, I noticed a thick uncut, not thoroughly cooked piece of chicken in my pasta and then upon mixing my pasta with the sauce that seemed to be placed on one side of the plate, a piece of a French fry turned up. Completely disgusted. The server Denzel was great but the cook or whoever was in the kitchen overseeing the food, not a fan. Food wise, this was the worst experience I've had here. read more

Cheddars is one of those chains that for some reason, probably good, never seems to disappoint. I have eaten at the Waco location once, and now twice at the Killeen location. Personally, sitting under that huge fan of fans in the center of the restaurant is fun. Now to the food. I usually order the whole herb roasted chicken, which while not a monumentally huge bird, is big enough to eat and take some home. Today I chose carrots and a side salad as my sides. Love their salads. They always use the freshest ingredients and the house ranch dressing is awesome. Those sweet butter drizzled croissants they bring out at the beginning are a pleasant change to rolls or biscuits. My lunch pal had the penne pasta chicken alfredo with broccoli. Excellent choice. The greet and wait staff were excellent. Our server was great. Well deserving of the 5 stars. Enjoy. read more

Live maggots in my broccoli. Notified waitress to witness it. Cheddars response: quickly removed my plate so I couldn't take a photo and they sent me a gift card to eat there again...as if I would be so ignorant to do so! Their response for follow-up has been inadequate and dismissive. They don't deserve one star. My horrific experience is not in a silo; I wish I had read their ratings beforehand. Furthermore, their health inspection reports lend explanation to experiences such as this. Utterly shameful, Cheddars. read more

Sometimes you just want to grab a bite and have the food not suck. Cheddar's fills the bill pretty well. We visited here on a busy Saturday evening for a quick dinner. Despite the crowd (very very loud BTW) they got our orders out of the kitchen. Our choices weren't very exciting but the meatloaf was meaty and accompanied by the broccoli cheese casserole. I thought it was pretty decent. Service was excellent; our server couldn't have been nicer and apologized for the screaming Mimi's in the restaurant. read more

Food was overall good, staff was friendly for the most part I would say the only thing that really bothered me was this young man with a purple apple watch and dreads he did not bother waiting for us to sit up so he could pick up the dirty plates after we finished our dinner, he was rude while picking up the plates and some things we wanted to take home he picked up and took them he also bumped my shoulder and did not apologize. 7/13. read more

I've never had a meal I was mad at from this location. Lunch today was no different. We had great service and the food arrived in a very timely manner. The server even gave us free croissants to chew on while we waited for our meal to arrive. I stick with my tried and true Monte Cristo. Since Bennigan's is no longer a thing this is the closest I have found! My friends ordered sandwiches and the pot pie. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I've done several reviews here but unfortunately this experience last week was terrible. The server said he was tired and should have gone home earlier and we could definately tell his mind was elsewhere and he was over it. He came back to see what we ordered because he forgot, forgot our drinks several times, forgot the steak sauce I asked for and at times just simply failed to come by. As a result of him forgetting we sat there for over an hour while others who came after us got their food, ate and left. On top of that, we were seated in a booth by the window. Another server came by and asked to fix the window blinds because the sun was bothering another patron. My friend stood up while he proceeded to step all on her seat with his dirty shoes and ran his fingers all across the blinds. While he did that we saw dust fly around and drop down onto our table. And lastly, my friend had a hair wrapped up in the ranch which accompanied her tenders. I was a bit surprised at how poor service was tonight. read more

My goodness this place is amazing we got sat down in a clean perfect booth instantly, I ordered the chicken tender platter with mashed potatoes white gravy and fries and for my appetizer I got buttered croissant (French accent) cwastont, and I got Wisconsin cheese bites the appetizer were amazing and came fast, after I polished off my first drink I found the refills were free!! When my food came it was a large portion of chicken tenders for only 11.89 and apparently a chicken finger fell off so they got a new one made for me and threw in some extra sauce!!! The fries and mashed potatoes and gravy were really good and the chicken tenders tossed in buffalo was really delicious! My final note is about my server his name is Cristian and he was so chill he had that vibe you know? He was very kind and frequently brought more coke for me, he was very nice and he was by far the best server I have EVER had in my entire life and he absolutely made my night! I left a big tip because of how nice he was, you guys should definitely eat here and be extra kind to Cristian!! I will now show you my delicious food read more

Wow, Cheddar's has gone downhill. My colleagues and I went for lunch on a Thursday and it wasn't crowded but we still had to wait on the bench as a party of 4. Our waitress was nice but didn't bring us our drinks for about 10-15 minutes. The food was mediocre -- the chips for the queso and salsa were stale and inedible. The croissants were mediocre. My salmon on my Caesar pasta salad tasted like it was cooked the night before and thawed out to be microwaved...overall just a nightmare and not what we all were used to. This used to be the spot. The reason I have to give this a 2 is because of the men's restroom...lord have mercy. I have no words. read more

The server brought us day old chips for the spinach dip after 10 minutes another server asked me if something was wrong I told him about the chips,he said I will get the manager when he arrives he looks like he just got out of bed and tells us that they make them fresh but he will get some fresh, I told him no and we left , what happened to the regular staff, new faces bad service are you trying to save money cutting good staff for not well trained workers, never coming back to pflergville or cheddar's on hwy 183 Austin. read more

Let me start out by saying my rating is the average of today's visit and the time I tried a few months ago. When I went some time back, they sat me in the bar area, and I never got any service, even after sitting there for 20 minutes. I walked out, so zero stars. Today's visit was soooo much better. I got seated much more quickly than their estimate, the server was accurate and attentive, and all the food was very tasty. I had the meatloaf with additional side salad, and decided to try the cheesecake for dessert. I was concerned that the meatloaf looked dry, but it turned out to be nice and moist. I think they pan seared it after slicing. And the price was a bit more reasonable than some similar chains, when you consider how crazy the price of dining out has become. My total including tax and tip was $33 for the meatloaf platter, extra side salad, iced tea, and cheesecake. So, their service has been hit or miss, but today was great! read more

First off this place has really went downhill. It's been a while since we've been there and we decided to have lunch for Easter with the family. Let me start by saying it wasn't that busy our waitress was doing the best she could. It was myself two adults and one child and the simplest things as no broccoli in the fettuccine was put in there. Other persons salad and soup didn't come until others eating there meal was already been consumed by others and the chicken strips with fried shrimp. The oil tasted like it never was changed in days. There was no flavor no seasoning nothing very bland. The broccoli casserole was barely 1 ounce scoop was dry and cold as well as the mashed potatoes was also like one ice cream scoop and no gravy was added when asked ? The waitress offered to redo my daughter's plate and take out the broccoli which she brought back 20 minutes later, but that time the other party was kind of done and everything had to be taken to go. This place has really really gone downhill looking at the previous reviews. I don't understand it. It's a great location if you want great service and a great restaurant and great tasting food. I suggest you go down the road and go to Texas roadhouse while you're never disappointed not going to return to this place in a long, long time as $107 was just wasted read more

Staff are friendly but can't help but notice how utterly disgusting and dirty this restaurant is. You walk in and floors are sticky, the menu is sticky, the glass around the booths has fingerprints all over it, the floors have scattered food and debris. No one is cleaning this place, makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen. The staff doesn't bother to pull their hair back either....just dirty. read more

The pasta was amazing! The sauce was not thick, just right and they add in bell pepper, chicken, sausage and shrimp. The toast was a bit too crispy for my preference but flavor was good. The waitress was pretty good however she wasn't familiar with the menu. Some of our orders were incorrect & my friends cesar salad had way too much parmesan and was soggy when it came out. read more

The food and the prices is what usually gets me to come here. The service overall tends to be pretty slow, and even slower when it's busy with people. The inside is like any other location, so it's not too bad. I've ordered pickup multiple times here, and it'll usually take 35-45 minutes for me to get my food after already waiting 30-35 minutes since placing my order. When dining in, it's also taken quite a while for my waiter to come by after the initial welcome and order placing. Other than that, I don't have too much of a problem with this location. I'm sure if they had more staff some of these issues wouldn't be so prevalent. read more

Came here pretty late on a Saturday night. We were told 25 mins wait, but seated 10 mins later. We ordered chips and queso, bacon cheeseburger, pot pie and potato soup. Our waiter was fantastic! He was very friendly and always on top of things. We received the food 20 mins later. The cheeseburger was not good at all, the pot pie was good and the potato soup was ok. Overall, not a place I would come back to for food, but maybe grab a drink here at a later point. read more

Wow this place has really gone down hill. I don't think we'll ever come back. Host and wait staff were friendly but the food was just terrible. Everything was overcooked and the sides tasted like they had been made hours or maybe even days ago and reheated in the microwave. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out well done. My wife's salmon was overcooked as well and dried out. Flavor was lacking in everything and neither of us finished our meals. If I had to guess based on the rest of the staff, there are a bunch of inexperienced young people in the back doing their best to keep up with the orders. Can't wait for the copy and paste reply from the manager that I've seen on the other bad reviews here. Make a change, cause what you're doing isn't working! read more
