    Phil 's Original combo

Two hours of shopping at the mall made me tired and hungry. So a quick stop at the food court and the steak and cheese caught my eye. There weren't that many people in the food court, so I was able to order pretty quickly. Just a standard steak and cheese sandwich. I took a seat close to where I ordered and sat down to wait. It was less than 10 minutes and the guy comes back to the counter says my food is ready. It was already in the bag so I grabbed it and headed out to go home. I didn't look at the counter if they had condiments there. Arriving home I took half my steak and cheese, put it on a plate and sat down to eat it. Two bites in and I realized it needed some thing because it was a bit dry. I add some Dijon mustard and that was perfect. The sandwich was pretty sickly, packed with steak, and the different cheese was melted between each layer of steak . The pricing was reasonable. The man behind the counter was friendly. The sandwich hit the spot.

I've had my Phil of bad Philly sandwiches, even in Philly. I've found a couple of good ones and 2 great ones over the years in Philly itself, but mostly bad ones. Outside PHILA it's been atrocious across the board, basically. Or bland at best. So this is a Philly cheese steak sandwich shop where the sandwiches are really not very good. Bland, and Americanized, and even the worst ones are a little bit better than this. And everything on the menu is much better than anything at Subway, in its defence, and prices are okay and service is really nice. It averages out to three.

If you are looking for a "light" lunch - order the regular Philly Cheese Steak. Not bad - just small. They do provide free refills on the soft drinks - drank the Sprite while they were preparing the cheese steak so I got a refill. The service was friendly, and pretty quick considering they are cooking the food vs getting your food from a buffet warming tray.

So good! Fast, fresh and tasty. Better than Subway! Orders the 6" double-double philly combo. Highly recommend ;)

The food is always incredible, but what truly sets this place apart is the people. Kylie, Nathan, Maddie, and so many others on the team consistently go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and genuinely valued. Their kindness never feels forced -- it's just who they are. One moment that really stayed with me was when I brought my young niece, who has several allergies and can also be a bit picky with food. The chef personally came out to our table to ask thoughtful questions, understand her allergies better, and make sure she felt safe and comfortable eating there. That level of care meant so much to our family. Now that I'm pregnant, the staff continues to be just as attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful. They always make sure I'm comfortable and taken care of, and it honestly feels like visiting friends every time we walk through the door. Restaurants with great food are everywhere. Restaurants with genuinely wonderful people are rare. Jack Allen's is one of those rare places, and we're incredibly grateful for the amazing team there.

We started off with the queso and guacamole. They queso was delicious and while the guacamole was fresh it needed some salt. For my meal I got the special which was the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was flavorful and cooked correctly. My only recommendation would have been to give some more sauce for the meatloaf. My husband got the fried pork chop and said it was cooked perfectly and that the gravy was delicious. Overall, an enjoyable meal and we would return.

Luna and Hush LOVE it here! It can be a bit dusty as it is dirt and mulch so be ready to get dirty! The first time we went their handler was amazing! I am not sure what happened yesterday (Sunday the 11th) but I didn't see a handler. There was a few humans that could have been directed by a handler; ex: leashes on dogs in the park and kids with dog treats. Luckily nothing big came from it but usually these things are big no no's at parks because it can cause some fights. Otherwise, Tailgate is amazing! Parking at Mutts was pretty smooth but it does look like it could be difficult on days or times where many owners decide to stop by. When entering there are a lot of security precautions in place ensuring that it would be VERY difficult for dogs to escape which is much appreciated. To get into the dog park itself you need to purchase a day pass which runs $14, there are other options like weekly, monthly, or even membership passes but as first timers we didn't want to commit too hard just yet. Ordering is pretty straightforward and the food options are simple, burgers and tenders and fries. They do also have a dog menu but it is very lacking for being a dog focused place, just two options for dogs and both involve peanut butter so in the case your dog is strange and doesn't like peanut butter then you're out of luck. There's a good amount of seating on the patio for food and the interior of the dog park also has a lot of seating and things for dogs as well like rocks, baths, and water bowls. They have a big screen out in the yard too so if you're into sports and would like to bring your dog somewhere to watch then this is a great option. Beware that you SHOULD NOT bring food into the yard, they don't explicitly say it but just know that is not a good idea. Overall, Mutts is an awesome place to bring a dog and just hang out and have them (or you) socialize. Consider stopping by with your dog when you have a chance!

My grandma makes this dish at home with so much love, so I was hoping for at least a little of that here, but sadly it missed the mark completely. I even tried to make it good with some lime etc and I just had to throw it away it was not what I was expecting at all. Maybe I just ordered on a bad day, but based on this dish alone, I don't think I'd order it again.
