Tonight's debacle: Arrived at 4:00 after waiting 1 hour to be seated I finally asked how much longer we would be. Turns out our party had been lined out so another party of seven was seated. They then tried giving me another patties table, I requested a booth so that they could still seat their party of 12. After being seated we waited 10 minutes to give drink orders 25 minutes to get drinks . And another 10 till we got to order. I'm am extremely parent person but my five kids were beginning to flag. Four stars for the affordability. Is the food "knock your socks off"? No, but it's damn good for what you pay for. I had all four kids with us, plus an appetizer, drink (like I said, I had all four kids with me), and desserts for everyone PLUS our meals and we made it out for $65. GM needs to train wait staff and managers. If you're strangely out of pasta for the night, you should say so before allowing the customers to order a dish with pasta in it. Especially bad that you serve the dish with no explanation and leave it to the customer to raise the question themselves. 86'd items should have been discussed at pre shift meeting. After bringing the issue up to the waitress, neither the floor or kitchen managers deemed the issue important enough to stop by the table. Don't market yourself as a "scratch kitchen" and then perform like that. Plenty of other options at this price point. read more

Over all they were very nice. The waitress was fast and dealt with my four kids. Ask the orders were correct. And she was very attentive. The manager did a round of his restaurant to make sure his customers were happy and being taken care of which is always nice. I would come her again for sure. read more

Was treated to lunch by a friend and we decided upon this location due to the proximity to work. The staff was friendly and we got quick service. I had chicken tenders and shrimp with steamed broccoli ,fries and garden salad. My friend got the veggie plate with broccoli cheese casserole, green beans and salad. This location is absolutely FILTHY. The floors are coated in grease and trash pieces. The booths are dirty. The doors have handprints all over them (at 11:15 am in the morning - July 4th), the bathroom floors are disgusting (grease & gunk everywhere). I'm not sure how no one has enough pride to CLEAN but someone needs to do something. It seems like a health violation at the least. I'm 9 months pregnant and I slipped on the greasy floor right in front of the hostess stand, and then proceeded to tell 4 employees standing (and talking) at the hostess stand that someone needed to clean the slippery floors, and they just looked at me. When someone falls and breaks their neck (or back, or arm), then maybe someone will care enough to CLEAN THIS RESTAURANT. The lack of professionalism beginning from the evening that our order was placed until now is unacceptable. The "to go" order was screwed up not once, or even twice, but three times on the evening I came to pick up, resulting in my having to go back to the restaurant twice after the initial pickup. Everyone's food was cold, and still missing part of the meal by the time I finally just gave up. The bitterness of bad service still lingers when I think about Cheddar's. We know for a fact it was here because of the lab results we got from his stool sample. They don't care at all, they just send you to corporate so trust me just stay far away from this place. It's such a shame because I really liked their house salad. This restaurant will be hearing from my attorney because of their negligence, it wasn't busy at all when we came in, they just wanted to cook our food as fast as they could and get us out the door. This place used to be so good, now it seems like the workers all just hate their jobs. Service is now slow and the food is just straight trash. The food comes out cold, and while we're waiting an hour to get our food, you think they'd give you more than one croissant. The waiters forget about you, so if you need a condiment for your food, you'll probably finish your food before they give it to you. This place needs a total overhaul. Close it and re-train your employees and your cook. Never again. Ever. EVER. We have given this place plenty of chances. First time, we were unable to get seated, despite open tables, because the hostess was in the bar dancing. Next time, a waiter dropped and broke a large tray of dishes, so the rest of the wait staff decided to throw theirs down and laugh and break them, too. Next visit, we sat next to a LARGE, LOUD group of obscenity-spitting teenagers. Last night was the final straw. First, we waited and waited and waited for a waitress. No luck. Then, a couple was seated next to us, and was waited on in about 30 seconds. We continued to wait, and wait, and wait, until finally - service. Our waitress couldn't have been more rude, and made snide remarks all night. We had several questions about the menu, and she responded to all of them with a joke, which also was frustrating. We pushed to get a straight answer out of her. After she left, the incredibly rude manager appeared and conveyed that we would be out on the street if we weren't nicer to the waitress. Madame, this place would not be such a hell-hole if you realized that your job is to manage the staff and restaurant, not to chew out customers. Then, the food arrived - the dry, overcooked ribs, the incredibly overcooked broccoli, the cold canned corn and the rubbery shrimp. The cherry on top? There was a long line in the ladies' room, and just as a stall became available to a woman who had waited and waited, a waitress ran in and pushed her aside, stole the stall, and yelled, "I'm in a hurry, here." While you're taking over the bathroom, could you install some TOILET PAPER? The Alliance and Bedford locations are fantastic. Have you eaten the Chicken Pot Pie @ Cheddar's? No? Well let me suggest you give it a try one day soon. You can tell it is made from scratch. Once the spoon breaks into the golden flaky crust and dives into the pie, a warm steam rises with the most amazing aroma of fresh veggies and broth ...... I am telling you Try The Pot Pie! It's served with a fresh garden salad and decadent buttered rolls. It is my favorite dish served here. While I have been to other Cheddar's around the DFW Metroplex this was my first visit at this location....which is just a few minutes from my home. I will say the service was a little slow and my water glass was only refilled once, even after I told the waitstaff I was a "heavy drinker". Unfortunately our server was I guess very busy she left to get me a straw and came back about 15 minutes later and I had to remind her about it, also she kept my husband's glass empty for most of the time we were there. The food here is beyond amazing; although be prepared to be there a while. It is a scratch kitchen, meaning everything is made from scratch as ordered so it's not a quick process. I see so many people with poor reviews about the longer-than-usual wait times and personally feel it's unnecessary to complain when you come to a scratch kitchen to be served homemade dishes. We don't ALWAYS have to be in such a rush, do we? My suggestion is to put down your phones, visit with your loved ones and enjoy the family meal experience! That being said...literally every dish we've had here is perfect barring the Caesar salad. There's just something about the dressing I don't care for, and it has a yellowish hue to it which makes me think it has alot of egg yolk in it. I will continue going to Red Lobster when I crave a good Caesar. That's my only dislike here. If you partake in alcoholic beverages, their bar drinks are also hand-crafted and of superior quality. They have an impressive selection of delicious concoctions (my faves being the top-shelf margaritas). Start off with some of their onion rings - it's a huge tower, so it's more than enough for several people to snack on while waiting for your food. What they do is slice up a whole (quite large, apparently) onion for each order, so that's why you can't add them as a side dish to an entree. They serve them with ranch and a horseradish "southwestern" style sauce. Both are very flavorful. The honey butter croissants are a family favorite, as well. Careful though, they will fill you up and you won't be able to eat your dinner! My husband and I often share the chicken-fried-chicken dinner plate, which is two HUGE, perfectly breaded & seasoned chicken breasts served with mashed potatoes/cream gravy and one side, which is usually mac & cheese or green beans. They have the big flat green beans (you know, those REALLY good ones that cook all day on your grandma's stove with some bacon drippings). Most times the two of us can't even finish this one meal because it's just so much food. The club sandwich is beyond delicious. Stacked high with very good quality cold cuts and cheeses, it's way too much for one sitting. The Monte Cristo, as well. Our daughter gets the bourbon-glazed salmon and she raves about it every time. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie once and said it was phenomenal. Order your meal, eat about half (if you can!) but be sure to save room for the Legendary Monster Cookie to share. Went to this location after my nephews basketball game on Saturday. We were told the would be 30-45minutes. We waited over an hour to be seated and several parties were seated before us. We were told they called our parties name but we did not show up. When we told they were sitting in the tiny waiting area right at the host booth, they retracted the statement to someone with same identical name came in and asked to be removed from the list. Then the manager says the hostess were new and not to blame them for making the mistake. It was really ironic the black party was forgotten and removed from the list. Once were seated, were in a semi private area secluded from everyone in the restaurant. Typically that would be amazing except, I believe this was done intentionally to ensure were we not able to complain around other guests. Once we were seated, it took another 20 minutes to before the waitress came to the table to ask for drinks. The waitress then brought drinks one at a time. Service and management was piss poor. We asked to speak with a manager and he never came to the table. He didnt want to talk about how we were removed form the waiting list and slow serve. Waitress never came back for refills and we ended up splitting the tickets on the table kiosk due to the lack and waitress attention. read more

Sad Sad very SAD. Was looking forward to the steak and shrimp like I had several months ago. Not today! I sat at the bar due to the place being busy. Was finally acknowledged and enjoyed a glass of wine. Ordered my steak and shrimp. I received my food and the steak was rare (supposed to be med rare) and extremely tough and the broccoli was way over steamed that it turned to mush as soon as it hit my mouth. I placed an order for carry out because I had some errands to run. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta and Spinach dip to go. The pasta was good for craving it however, it was lacking the amount of protein like I was spoiled with before at other places. I wished they would have put it in a different container than a to-go box because the sauce leaked into the bag. The spinach dip was pretty good. The salsa that came on the side was amazing. Restaurant wasn't even half full but we were told we would have to wait 5-10 minutes. They wanted to put us at a small booth but my wife wanted a larger table so we would have enough room. We were then told it would be another 20 minutes even though there were plenty of full sized booths née where they were going to seat us. We walked out. We saw a half dozen clean, open tables and they still made us wait OUTSIDE in the hot Texas sun before they texted us. I assume they just wanted our phone number for spam. I mean, I think I'm a reasonable person and don't expect 5 star service at a 3 star establishment, but customer service is something basic any type of restaurant should have. Waited 1.5 hours to seat a party of ten at 3:30 pm (no crowds), waited another 1.5 hours to get food (half order was wrong), and 30 min to get remaining correct order.
