I took a group of seniors here after visiting a museum. We called them to let them know we had a group of 20 coming in about an hour, but still ended up waiting about 20 minutes after we arrived. It seemed as if the staff didn't really know what they were doing because we kept getting different answers about when we would be seated etc. Then when I went to ask the hostess what was going on she was clearly overwhelmed and fed up and said yeah just sit at the bar. Our waitress was great and absolutely made a difference! Unfortunately my ribeye was way overcooked. She took it back and brought me another one that was very undercooked. If you don't know how to cook a steak, don't put it on your menu. Also, our group was upset to find that the first round of croissants is free, but each one is a dollar if you want more. I do not recommend coming to this place if you have more than three or four people in your party, if you like steak, or if you like fast service. read more

Server paid more attention to another table that was not even his and hardly waited on us at all and had to ask multiple times for to-go boxes while we sat there. It took almost an hour to get our food and it came out almost inedible because it sat out for so long in the kitchen and by the time we got our food it was practically ice cold. This place likes to pay more attention to a larger table for the check and tips they're going to receive rather than their own tables who are actively needing things. Save yourself a trip. read more

Our server greeted us shortly after we were seated, but we then waited about 15 minutes before she returned to take our order. It didn't appear to be busy, so the delay was noticeable. We also waited about 40 minutes for our food. During ordering, we were told several items were unavailable. They were out of onion rings, coleslaw, and mac and cheese. After multiple sides were unavailable, I asked what was available, and the response was simply a gesture toward the sides menu. That was a bit confusing and not very helpful. I ordered broccoli for my son, and when our food arrived, we were then told they were also out of broccoli. Having to repeatedly change sides after ordering became frustrating. The server was not very attentive during the meal and didn't check on us much, although the check was brought out promptly. On a positive note, the food itself was delicious once it arrived. I took my girlfriend and her 84 y/o mom to dinner. We ordered our meals. Her mom wanted the boneless14oz Ribeye, lightly seasoned and medium well and a baked potato with butter only. The steak came and it was rare and bone in and the baked potato had cheese. Sent it back. The manager (I assumed-no intro) brought it back out. Still not medium well and mentioned we ordered boneless. The baked potato was corrected. Our server brought the steak out the third time and it was boneless, and medium well. However, I guess the request of light seasoning went out the window on the first order-very salty. Since my girlfriend and I were finished with our meal, we decided to cancel the attempt on the steak and ordered the salmon. It was about an hour after we sat down, and probably 30 minutes after my girlfriend and I finished our meals, did her mom start to eat her protein portion of her meal. This dinner experience took 1 hr. and 15 minutes. During this, we ordered a second wine which took almost 15 minutes to get. When I asked the server the status of the wine, she replied "I'm still waiting on it." The manager walked by (not intending to stop and check how things are going) and I stopped her and asked about our wine order. Off she went. It turns out the bar tendered also waits on the tables in the bar area. So, if she/he is busy taking dinner and drink orders on the floor, your drink order is on hold until....... When the "runner" initially served our meals, he dropped several chips on the floor. They stayed there for 13 minutes having been passed over 10 times by the manager, server and the runner. Finally, our server swept it up. Not a big issue, but if something is dropped, pick it up. They comped the salmon, which was a professional gesture, however, we were not looking for a free meal, just good service and food so our family can dine together. We've just recently started coming to this restaurant and this is the second time we had to return and wait for a meal to be prepared as we ordered. Last time the server said "The cooks are swamped in the kitchen." We like this restaurant and were hoping the first bad experience was just a fluke. Came to have lunch with my sister. It was alright. Our server wasn't very attentive unless I caught her attention. Her name was Jade. For an appetizer, we got the queso with beef. When she brought it out it didn't have the beef and she mentioned she didn't hear me ask for it. May be because as I was talking to her she started walking off before I was done talking. The dip came out hot and was good but not ggreat. Ordered the blackened salmon with side caesar and brocolli casserole. The salmon came out normal not blackened and was also a little over cooked. The dressing for the caesar side was alright. Not the best but not the worst. When I eventually got the brocolli casserole it was cold. Once she got other tables, we had to flag her down to get her attention. She would keep walking by our table and not ask if we needed anything. We needed to go boxes, to go drinks, and the check. She said it was on the computer on the table which it wasn't. Asked for just the print out check and she brought me a computer for the table to do everything. In which the gift card I had would not work on it. Had to get up and take the gift card to her to get it taken off my bill. I wasn't totally thrilled about the experience. Been waiting to eat here for a minute but what a disappointment!!! Bone-in ribeye is just like something you get at ihop!!it was terrible. The size was terrible, the thickness (you can't call that ribeye), it definitely lacks seasonings. Just awful. And to top it off the baked potato was also terrible! We just ate at Cheddars and I have to say the food was delicious. I had a chicken pot pie and it was full of chicken, and the homemade crust was incredibly flaky. My husband had blackened salmon and it was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Most of all the crossaints, are a must have. Actually just order some to go also. Our waiter, Bradley was very attentive and took care of all his tables with compentsey. It was so nice, to not have to shout to carry on a conversation. Big praises for the manager Gary Nelson. After a great dinner and good service, we found ourselves with a flat tire when arriving to the parking lot. We went back into the restaurant to let the manager know that the car next to us had left their lights on and we had a flat. Mr. Nelson didn't hesitate to help us. After seeing it for years i finally got over and tried Cheddar's scratch kitchen, and i liked it! The menu is a smaller version right now because of covid-19 but still some good options, i had the 8oz sirloin with double mashed potatoes for only $12.99 pretty good deal although i was sceptical of the quality. However when my food arrived i was pleasantly surprised, the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and well seasoned as well. The mashed potatoes were good too just a little chunkier than i like but no biggie, they serve delicious crossoints with honey butter at the table free. I also had 2 Texas Margaritas that were pretty tasty and priced great at $4.79 each! I expected this place to compare with a chili's or applebees both of which i don't care for at all. I'm happy to say Cheddar's one up'd those places and i would return for another visit sometime. read more

This was the first time I have ever visited a Cheddar's. I came in as a single dinner and asked for a quiet table or booth. I was walked by a number of 2 person booths and taken to a booth across from a party of 10. At this point I should have asked for another table but the plates were empty and I thought they would be leaving soon. Not so, the party atmosphere at the table continued for the rest of my meal. They were so loud when I put my iPods in to listen to my IPad the noise overrode the sound. I'm not complaining about the party they have every right to celebrate. When the server came I ordered a 14oz ribeye with bake potato with butter only and extra butter. What I got was covered with cheese, which I don't eat, sour cream and something unidentifiable. The broccoli I order was soggy and bland. The rib eye was more fat than steak. When the server came back around I mentioned the mistake in the order and he brought another potato the way I had ordered. I don't know if it was the kitchens fault but the server never delivered the meal, it was someone else. Cheddars is trying to be the next Waffle House. So we are here right now and you won't believe this. The silverware looks like it was taken straight from the pawn shop. The female manager (she white) for reference is on her RAG she almost fight one of the severs in front of my wife. My wife explained to me what RAG means. Now my server is on edge and I think he is having a nervous breakdown. Hopefully our food and drinks arrive in good standing. I will post a follow up post with the updates. My spouse and I arrived at location at 1:30pm today and were seated.after a ten minute wait to be escorted to a booth After waiting over 15 minutes we got up and moved to a table in the back. After five a young lady came over to take our order. I ordered an appetizer which was terrible (spinach was real cold as was the cheese dip). Then I ordered the baby back ribs ( not hot) and a hamburger medium rare (horrible as meat was cold & raw) decided to leave and pay our tab. Took the ribs and two chicken strips (for my dog). When I got the bill, the young lady deducted the burger but charged me for the salad and mashed potatoes (which were the sides that came with the ribs). I met a friend for dinner we were seated and ordered our food I ordered salmon salad and she ordered chicken wraps... well the waitress started putting up the liquor order and I think she forgot about our food. We finally got our food about an hour after we ordered and my salmon was ice cold and her wraps were hard and soggy from sitting out... when I told the waitress the salmon was cold she said you want us to reheat it or cook you a new one... they heated it (which I've never had that happen). ... on top of all that an older gentleman passed out and fell to the ground and none of the staff wanted to help him... had it not been for a man and woman that was in the bar area close to him I'm not sure what the outcome would have been for him... We walked in about 4:30 pm. The host told us that they are waiting on their servers to get there and that it would be a 10 minute wait. The hostess said that they can text us when they are ready to have us seated but we would have to wait outside or in our car. She is super soft spoken and its hard to hear her. We went and waited in the car and about 10 minutes passed. We got a text. There are just the two of us. We get seated about about 15 minutes pass by and no one has stopped by to get our drinks. I finally decide to order through the little kiosk screen. I order a spinach dip appetizer. I try to order our drinks but of course I cannot because they would need to check out ID's. I then call for a server through the machine. About 3 minutes pass by and our server shows up. She apologizes. She could not see us from where she is standing. In this instant, my advice to the establishment is they need to train their hostess to communicate with their servers when they have seated patrons. Our server is Roxanne. Once she got to us, she was on a roll and provided great service. We ordered a burger and a pot pie. Both were pretty good and brought out in a timely manner. Cheddars is pretty good. It's my "fall back" plan in this area when I don't feel like driving a couple of miles for non-chain food. Honestly, it's the best chain in this area. Each time we've been, the service has been very good. The restaurant seems understaffed during peak hours, but wait staff is always polite. The food ranges from OK to good. It's not great food; it's not bad food, but it is much better than the other nearby chains. We've tried a couple of menu items. So far, I like the chicken tenders and fried shrimp the best. The burgers are OK. I'd like them more if they were less salty. This location gets packed on the weekends, so expect a nice long wait if you do during dinner or lunch hours Fri-Sat. On the weekends, they seem understaffed, so when we go, we go during off peak hours. I've been given dirty silverware twice, but again I think that has to do with being understaffed. Our waiters quickly brought me a clean set of silverware. There's a huge parking lot. If you live in this area, you don't have to drive the freeway or feeder to get to the restaurant, just take Paul Meador Road all the way past the Lowe's (stay right immediately after the Lowe's) and you run right into it. read more

I'm a frequent customer at the Alliance location so I'm familiar with their food. After a couple of lunches brought in from this location by reps, I began to wonder why it tasted so differently. My favorite is the chicken pot pie. The crust is usually flaky and crispy and the filling is thick and hearty and filled with tender chicken and veggies. It just warms the tummy and soul :) What I got was a soupy mixture with a limp crust slopped onto a styrofoam container. Needless to say, I was highly disappointed. I stopped in one day for lunch a few days later to check out the new place. It's a beautiful establishment seeing as how it's still fairly brand new. Lots of seating. I was afraid to get the chicken pot pie so I chose the Dijon chicken. My co-workers did order it and when it came out, it definitely looked like what I'm used to. Ugh. They both said it tasted great. But, my Dijon chicken was cooked well and the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were both delicious. Service was definitely slow. Seeing as how it was lunch time, I'm usually more understanding. But, there's a difference between being busy and being unattentive. I felt it was the latter. She was no where in sight. This place is further away from the office than our usual spots and with service as slow as it was, I asked for the check early on. She took her time getting it to us and I was a few minutes late getting back from my lunch break. Grrrr!
