The food wasn't spectacular, but it was decent. I had the Monday lunch special, which was chicken-fried steak with jalapeño gravy over mashed potatoes. Overall, the meal was okay. My biggest issue was with the drink glass. When it was brought to the table, it was dirty and looked like something was stuck to the side of it. I showed it to the server, and she promptly replaced it with a clean glass. I'm not very picky about most things, but cleanliness is important to me. While the service handled the issue appropriately, finding a dirty glass did affect my overall experience. read more

I had a terrible experience at Cotton Patch in Lake Worth. My order was completely messed up, and when I called to try to get it fixed, the situation only got worse. I spoke with the manager, Geo, and he was absolutely no help. Instead of offering a real solution, he told me that if I drove all the way back up there they would replace the sides but the rest of my meal would obviously be cold by then. That's not a fix, that's just inconvenient for the customer. When a restaurant messes up an order, the least they can do is make it right without making the customer jump through hoops. The lack of accountability and poor customer service from management was honestly more frustrating than the messed-up order itself. Definitely not the kind of service you expect when you're paying for a meal. read more

Stopped in as it was close to why I was here. This place is tuned to the customer. Walked in and was greeted in 4 seconds. Friendly happy folks abound. We were seated and allowed some time to review the menu. Food and drinks arrived accurately. The jumbo shroom app was good. I have to say the oil used to fry was exceptionally clean. Cudos!! My Roasted Turkey Club was great. Healthy slices of turkey, bacon, avocado (hate but wife says it's good fat) healthy dose of salt on the Avo by me, and something called TX spread-solid flavor. For a change, I passed on my usual chicken fried steak/cf chicken and ordered the grilled 8 oz filet with okra, and a loaded baked potato. It was so delicious(and I was starving, thus no pic!). It has been awhile since I stepped inside a Cotton Patch Cafe, for no other reason than there just is not one close to me. I have always enjoyed them so when I was close to one I gave it a try... Walking in, not much has changed in the decor and ambiance. It's straight up a Texas cafe with stone and wood walls and booths. Our service was good. We were attended to not too long after being seated. Our drinks and some warm rolls arrived shortly later. The rolls were a nice start as they tasted delicious. Well well, I finally got over to this little country spot that I've never tried before although I had heard a lot about. It was a cold day so I was in the mood for some good old comfort food and my friend at work suggested the Cotton Patch and I said okay I've never been there let's give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the country fried steak with jalapeno cream gravy garlic mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and it was delicious, especially the country fried steak with that jalapeno cream gravy in the portion was huge. Now I know if I want a good country fried steak at a good price close to the house I know where to go, I will say the service was a little slow in the food took a little too long to come out but at least it came out well. All in all I would recommend Cotton Patch to others and I will be back. read more

I placed a to-go order this evening and am very pleased! I normally don't order out much and decided I wanted to order from Cotton Patch. I called in my order at 7:50pm and after Rachel was done taking my order she said my food would be ready around 8:15pm. I ordered the Chicken fried chicken plate with garlic potatoes and southern green beans. I got there a little early (at 8:05) and my food was already ready so I paid for my food and out the door. The chicken and vegetable soup is amazing, but it's sadly small. It is an appropriate container size for the side of green beans which are also excellent. The chicken fried steak is truly amazing both in texture as an inside. And the gravy that comes with it is perfection. The little waitress could have taken two steps to my end of the table to keep me from having to yell my order at her, but maybe she didn't want me to get a close look and be able to identify her later. 6 oz sirloin came in around 3 oz, but I understand because they cooked away half of it. Ordered medium, it came well done, and they never asked how it was. Wasn't about to send it back and wait another hour to eat. I planned to just mention it to the manager or anyone as they came by. Like a ghost town after the food arrived. You would have thought we tipped before we sat down! Paid in cash. She didn't bother to return the coin change, so that was blantant. It took longer than usual to receive my item. My driver was there, waiting for the order to be completed. By the time she arrived and dropped off the food, my food was cold. That wasn't the worst thing to happen. In a family meal with chicken tenders, you should receive 20 chicken tenders, gravy, your choice of dipping sauce(s), garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, tea, and rolls with butter. Aside from my food being cold, I only received 14/20 chicken tenders. It was already bad to receive cold food, but to also miss part of the main course? That's really bad. My garlic mashed potatoes didn't seem to have any garlic in it, or at least, I didn't taste or smell any in the mashed potatoes. My green beans and corn were mediocre--cold, too. My rolls were fine, but it would be better if I had butter with it; however, I didn't receive any butter with my rolls. The good thing about this order? The unsweet tea tastes pretty good. We visited Cotton Patch tonight and wanted to leave a good review for the manager on duty. There was a small problem with my husband's order. The manager came up to us and told us about the delay in one of the meals at our table. He said he would help by giving us a credit on our bill. When we got our bill, he went above and beyond anything thing we could have imagined! Also, our waitress was excellent!! Always a good food experience at cotton patch. Their food is priced for everyone's budget and the portion sizes are great. I love the fried green tomatoes they just need a little seasoning on them before the batter is put on. I am only giving 3 stars because my food was literally cold when it arrived. Cotton Patch is my go to place when I want close to a home cooked meal. I mostly order Salmon with double broccoli and melted butter with a side of cajun grilled shrimp.
